My wife and I we were convinced to move forward with Dr Lynn Burmeister after the first consultation, but that was the last time we met with Dr Burmeister. After that, we were handballed to her associates.

Unfortunately Number 1 Fertility has appalling service and it really is a poorly run operation. I rarely leave negative reviews, however the whole process with Dr Burmeister was completely unacceptable.

Thankfully we've found a new Dr who is actually cares for their patients.

I was recommended to see Lynn about a year ago and have since had one round of IVF with 2 embryo transfers and unfortunately both where a fail. With no answers other then “these things happen” when asked what she would do differently next time if I chose to go ahead with another round she pretty much said she would up my dose in all medication and hope for more eggs. Rather then taking further testing to actually figure out why my husband and I can not fall pregnant. In all honesty our experience with Lynn has been very misguided, very unsympathetic, very “business” driven and I would not be recommending anyone to see her. I understand nothing is guaranteed especially IVF but as you and your partner are going through such an emotional time you turn to your doctor for support-answers and we got the complete opposite, often having to wait days for callbacks and many times getting call backs from the wrong people or people that weren’t even familiar with our case. I have since spoken to a handful of woman who have also had very similar experiences. Do your research before picking a doctor for IVF, if you want empathy and a personal touch this is not the place for you.

I have done 5 cycles with Lynn and got only disaapointment. I went to her clicnic with lots of hope, as she is so called baby maker, but I have recieved only heartbreaks. She speaks very less and sometimes I felt that my emotions are not listened. The staff management is poor. I feel like she is more now into business management rather than IVF treatment. She has a big and attactive clinic but I felt I am just another number for her. Good luck to those couples who are going through this journey.

I got pregnant with Dr Lynn on my first round of IVF. Her team are fabulous I would highly recommend Number 1 Fertility they are fantastic.

Dr Lynn is so kind and lovely and extremely professional. Her staff are lovely and guided me through what is an emotional roller coaster. I would highly recommend Dr Lynn and her team at No. 1 Fertility. The clinic is much more affordable than the larger IVF Clinics as well which is another added bonus.

I had my first appointment at Number 1 Fertility today. Dr Lynn is so lovely and knowledgeable. Her rooms are so beautiful and friendly. During the appointment with Dr Lynn I was so nervous but I had nurse Caron sit in with me who was fabulous and so comforting. After the appointment I was booked in for counselling and a nurse to go over my IVF plan and now I am on my way to hopefully having a number one baby.

I can’t recommend Dr Lynn highly enough. She is so amazing, caring and fantastic.
She makes a difficult situation as easy as possible and makes a dream comes true.

Dr Lynn and her team are amazing. After years of heartache and 5 miscarriages and failed cycles at another clinic I went to No. 1 Fertility Clinic and did IVF with embryo testing and became pregnant on our first try! Dr Lynn was meticulous about everything. We are now 15 weeks pregnant with a girl. Thank you especially to Nurse Jen for an amazing experience on our transfer day you are such a kind and lovely person.

I’ve held back on this review for a couple of years now. It always seemed futile, considering I couldn’t do anything to rectify the damage (both physically and mentally) that Lynn Burmeister did to me. Recently I’ve been hearing a few horror stories from her current patients, far too much like my own experience to simply be coincidental. So I’m here, for other women going through any form of fertility treatment with her, so that they might make a more informed decision going forward.
Lynn might have an array of past media coverage and a few accolades framed in her clinic but I can tell you, she has been the most incompetent, cold, negligent doctor I have ever seen in the 5 years I’ve been on the journey. Her set up of her own business (and believe me, this is a business not a health care clinic) has rendered her incapable of the most basic of patient care- empathy, a sound understanding of her patients medical history (even with her), and a careful approach to such a precious health issue. Her staff are ill equiped with an improper process and systems that allow for an unacceptable quality of care. You are rushed, things are left unexplained, emails and phone calls go unanswered, threats of blame on you as a patient thrown your way, all of the above and much much more.
Her approach to us was callous at best. She didn’t care about our outcome, she cared about our business. Whenever she felt that we may leave her, she would pay us attention. Not any time except that. She missed crucial dates for my cycle, gave nurses instructions to medicate me with extremely wrong doses (harmful in my case as I develop OHSS at even low doses) and in the end, a botched D&C after a miscarriage I had with her treatment that has left me with severe Ashermans syndrome, a direct result of her over scraping my uterine lining. During the six months after this event, when I would persistently point out how much my cycles have been affected, how my body had not recovered, how I was worried I had Ashermans syndrome, she would dismiss my concerns and keep playing the same tune over and over “don’t worry, we’ll get you pregnant”. At one point, after yet another cancelled cycle due to a very thin lining (5mm. From my usual 8-9mm) she suggested to both my husband and I to “go on holiday, you’re too stressed and it won’t work if you stress”. We all know this sentiment and the harm it does to our mental wellbeing.

I imagine she would deny all of this. Judging by the comments she leaves on other negative reviews, her automatic response to criticism is to bite back. It proves so much- she isn’t willing or able to adapt to the unique situation of each of her patients.

Speaking of- she has way too many. This is vastly her main issue. She cannot commit to the level of care that is necessary, to be expected in melbourne of all places, because she doesn’t have the time.

I could go on forever. The mistreatment, absolute chaos of her clinic processes, her negligence.

It took me going to another clinic, doing a hysteroscopy with a new doctor to be told what I already knew- I could no longer carry a pregnancy (both times I had a miscarriage the results were an abnormality in the embryo, it wasn’t my body. Now it is. Because of her.)

She even did a hysteroscopy herself. Her diagnosis was that I was fine. Months later, when my new doctor compared her internal photographs with that Lynn Burmeister took we noticed that the pictures belonged to a different patient. The name on the bottom of the photographs was not mine. I hadn’t even considered to be that careful with the detail. I’m not a specialist, I shouldn’t have to worry about checking her competency.

I’m afraid if you go by the positive reviews you’ll be seeing a very outdated and select group of people who have had success. Remember that women going through infertility are very private. Publicly reviewing an IVF clinic is not something we would do until we are ready to out ourselves as infertile. Tread carefully, there are better options I promise.

The Best Experience at No. 1 Fertility I just finished my egg Freezing journey all the staff were so knowledgeable and so kind. After 2 cycles I have 27 eggs banked. Dr Lynn you are such a wonderful person and you empower women to make a choice by offering low cost egg Freezing and now making it an affordable option.

Fertility one clinic is an amazing experience. Dr Lynn is incredible and a true magician at what she does. Her approach puts you at ease from the get go and you know you are in good hands. We were gifted with an adorable little girl and now we are back for our second time. I can’t recommend Fertility one highly enough. We wasted our time at another clinic for two years and many miscarriages. Don’t make the same mistake we did, go straight to Fertility one. Lynn is the best in the business of baby making. Having sought Dr Lynn Burmeister’s second opinion to achieve the family we hoped for is a dream come true. She was always thorough, warm and friendly to both my partner and I. She went out of her way to explain everything and diagnosed two separate conditions that i believe all added to the success of our treatment. I have read so many wonderful reviews here and concur with the unanimous opinion. Even though my previous fertility specialist did not help us achieve a pregnancy I believe that fertility treatment can be a journey and am grateful how ours ended. I cannot thank Dr Lynn Burmeister enough for completing our family. After 5 miscarriages diagnosed as unexplained infertility by two prior specialists and a failed round of IVF we heard such wonderful things about Lynn and decided to give it a go one last time after we had all but given up!
Thank god we put our trust in Lynn she took a very different approach to our treatment. I was amazed that a specialist could review the same test results ordered by other clinics yet interpret them do differently. All of a sudden it started to make sense, it wasn’t unexplained infertility it was undiagnosed.
We undertook treatment under the close guidance of Dr Lynn and underwent our last round of IVF we were excited and nervous to receive a positive pregnancy test but of course the fear didn’t stop there.
We were closely monitored and cared for by the No 1 team as we navigated through those early stages of pregnancy and the crippling fear of miscarriage.
Once we reached the safe zone Dr Lynn put us under the care of one of her trusted high risk Obstetricians which gave us such confidence we weren’t out the door or fogotten about.
Lynn I don’t know how to find the words to truly say thank you, how will I ever find the words to thank you for this miracle? !
We absolutely adore you and are so grateful the universe sent us your way or we would never have achieved this result and that I am certain of!
You went above and beyond, I will never forget receiving a call from you at 9pm at night to ease my mind and answer all my questions.
You are one in a million and our biggest blessing we will always consider you a big part of our family after all it was a family you created.

IVF is a difficult journey and we sought a second opinion and went to Dr Lynn Burmeister and after a few attempts with her we are finally pregnant. Dr Lynn changed her protocols each time and found the baby recipe.
