Dr. Lynn Burmeister

We had a wonderful experience with Dr Lynn. My partner and I found her to be very knowledgeable and appreciated her sense of urgency with getting the ball rolling with IVF (we had previously been to a different fertility clinic where I had a negative experience). Our second round of IVF at Number 1 was successful and our beautiful girl was born in 2022 and has completed our family. Thank you Dr Burmeister!

There is a team of doctors that support you along the journey. After the first appointment with Lynn, we were advised to do more blood tests etc. And Lynn's team kept calling us after every blood test to let us know what to do next. And sending referrals digitally. Felt so supported and genuinely cared for.

Love you Lynn. You gave us hope when no one else bothered. Very grateful mum here Lynn you are an absolute star

To be honest, I do not understand the negative comments and its hurtful as a patient to see.
My partner and I first came to No1 Fertility back in March 22 and It only took a few weeks between our booking call and our appointment with Dr Lynn.
I suffer from endometriosis and was scheduled to have laparoscopic surgery on 1st April 22 with the intent to start our IVF journey straight after the operation for the best success.
Dr Lynn was nothing but lovely, sympathetic and knowledgeable. She provided instructions to pass onto my normal Gynecologists of tests ect that would be needed for our IVF journey so we did not have to double up on any procedures. This was also emailed to my gynecologists directly from No1 but it was good to be able to talk through these with Dr Lynn to get more of an understand which she was more then willing to do.

Dr Lynn provided us with her direct pager for emergencies which I know first hand she calls her clients back no matter the time. I had a very successful egg collection but unfortunately started to show symptoms of OHSS. Due to the conversations with Lynn and her staff, we were well aware this may happy given my history and were well informed and prepared if it did happen. I called Dr Lynn's pager i think close to 9-10pm at night and she still called us back, spoke with the ED doctor directly and followed my recovery.

The team at No 1 are beautiful to speak with, the Nurses team are always willing to speak with you an run you through questions you may have, whether i go to the "Pink Palace" or "Emerald City" we are always greeted so warmly and offered refreshments while we wait.

We have not completely our journey yet, but with 14 beautiful Embryos frozen and ready, we are very hopeful:)

Dr. Burmeister and her team are definitely amazing to have my dream come true. I was told I had very little chance to have a baby even with IVF technique. Dr. Burmeister made it success at the first try with only one embryo. It is not only because of luck, Dr Burmeister and her team made a huge effort to enhance the possibility based on my medical conditions. My baby is two weeks now. Much appreciate!

Absolutely amazing. We had an appointment with another so called specialist which was a horrible experience. Dr. Lynn was then recommended to me I rang and got an appointment within a few weeks. They sent all tests to be performed before the initial appointment which meant no time wasted and more answers and help were given on our first consult. Dr Lynn was patient and caring and was so lovely to speak too which made all our nerves go and gave us so much hope. I would recommend her to anyone needing to go down this journey as its hard and emotional and Dr Lynn will put your mind at ease.

We decided to seek assistance after trying to conceive naturally for ten months. Lynne & her team were absolutely incredible professionals & were so kind to us.we couldn’t fault our experience at all. We now have a beautiful little boy via IVF and have Lynne & her team to thank:)

We moved to Dr Lynn Burmeister after trying a number of other fertility clinics in Melbourne. After the first cycle with Lynn our protocol was individualised we got a number of good quality embryos, and we were then successful in our first frozen transfer. Prior to this we were told we may be looking down the pathway of donor eggs. Lynn and her team are amazing, they offer a service that takes away from the clinical aspects of infertility. I highly recommend Number 1 Fertility and Dr Lynn Burmeister.

I’ve reviewed Lynn B prior to this (two years ago), and since she has responded. I’ve pasted her response below. I wanted to respond myself here:

To have the nerve to say that she gives her “heart and soul” to her patients is beyond belief. There is absolutely nothing to gain for anyone of her past or current patients to review her negatively if it’s in any way untrue. I, like others I’m sure, don’t have any reason other than to warn my fellow infertility warriors, to go out of my way to review her “medical practice” in an untrue and defamatory way. It’s very simple- I had a terrible experience with her, many people I know also had the same terrible experience and everything I wrote is 100% accurate and honest. Believe me, going to Lynn B for treatment will only result in you having a similar experience and wasting your time and energy and money. This isn’t a journey you want to go on haphazardly….

I have never ever been approached by the ACCC regarding my review. I can only ascertain this is because I’ve done nothing wrong, or said anything that isn’t absolutely true. Throwing this comment around on every negative review is a way to manipulate the dialogue. Don’t buy into it- she’s the one who should be reported to the ACCC. I’d be surprised if she hasn’t been already.

And lastly- addressing her fellow females to be kind to one another, suggesting I’m not kind to my fellow females is disgusting. I wrote the original review and am here responding to her reply precisely because I deeply care about my fellow females who might go to this incompetent and obviously vindictive woman for fertility issues. I’m warning you all because I don’t want my experience to ever happen to anyone else. Lynn B rendered me incapable of carrying my own child after she botched my D and C! I’ve had many second opinions, investigative surgeries and an entire board of professionals who approved my application for surrogacy because of my lining condition (it’s called Ashermans Syndrome and I was diagnosed a few months after I repeatedly told Lynn B I think she might have caused the issue, to which she dismissed me and continued to give me treatment she knew wouldn’t ever work). I’m here to warn you to carefully consider if this is the right doctor for you. I say this with utmost respect to all women and their right to choose a doctor they can trust and rely on- choose wisely or prepare for the worst experience of your entire journey to becoming a mum.

And Lynn. If you’d like to call me and learn why my experience with you was so bad, please feel free to. I’d gladly help you understand all the issues you and your clinic have that need instant and considered attention, because perhaps it might push you to make much needed change and result in a better outcome for your patients. If I can wish for anything to come from my horrible time with you it’s that it doesn’t happen to anyone else who is at their most vulnerable during the immensely difficult and often heartbreaking journey of infertility.

If you truly care about your patients, you’ll take feedback like a grownup and CHANGE.

To all my fellow friends, followers and patients that truly know me would see that this post is untrue and not only untrue it is hurtful, spiteful, mean and highly defamatory. I am the biggest advocate for Fertility Patients. I give my heart and soul to everyone going through their fertility journey and provide the highest quality service and medicine and science in a loving and nurturing environment.
The ACCC and authorities have prosecuted people for this kind of misuse of the internet.
All my patients have my details and know if they wish to give appropriate feedback they can contact me with any questions.
To all my fellow females this is a reminder to be kind to one another and support each other and do not let nasty and bitter people diminish who you are.

Dr Lynn Burmeister and her team are just wonderful. Our journey and experience was nothing short of a miracle. She was absolutely divine to deal with and made our IVF journey absolutely incredible. Thank you Dr Lynn team and Number 1 fertility for making this an unforgettable experience xx

Awful experience, avoid at all costs. Fertility and IVF is supposed to be a journey, an experience. Lynn Burmeister is short, cold and unsympathetic. After her office re-scheduling our initial consultation 3 times, our first consultation was short and blunt. We tried to ask questions, very closed answers and blunt discussion with very little informative facts- literally having to squeeze discussion out of her. $300 for a 5 minute consultation, only to be sent the opposite information of what we discussed. We have wasted 2 months waiting for this appointment, to be treated like a mere number. Recommend you look elsewhere; we have decided to go with another, more sympathetic and professional specialist in East Melbourne.

Dr Lynn and the team at No. 1 Fertility have been nothing but amazing.
My husband and I have struggled with secondary infertility and after multiple clinics and Drs we finally feel we are heard and completely validated.

From Day one Dr Lynn took the time to go through our extensive history of loss and heartache and made us feel as though we are not alone.
There were no tests left unturned prior to starting another round of ivf and for the first time in 8 years we felt fully informed.
No question was too hard or left unanswered and the amazing nursing and office staff have exceeded our expectations.

The laboratory that Dr Lynn has created I can honestly not speak anymore highly of.
For the first time in our 8 years of trying an actual lab scientist took the time to go through the different types of inseminations with us. We have never ever had anyone keep us this informed on our cycle through our entire ivf journey.

Thank you Dr Lyn and the team of beautiful girls who blessed me with my little man on the first go of IVF. I had unconditional and ongoing support through the whole process of ups and downs. I’ve been meaning to write this review a long time ago but as we all know we get caught up with mum life!

My wife and I we were convinced to move forward with Dr Lynn Burmeister after the first consultation, but that was the last time we met with Dr Burmeister. After that, we were handballed to her associates.

Unfortunately Number 1 Fertility has appalling service and it really is a poorly run operation. I rarely leave negative reviews, however the whole process with Dr Burmeister was completely unacceptable.

Thankfully we've found a new Dr who is actually cares for their patients.

I decided to see Lynn after failed transfers at another clinic. She did multiple investigations on me and found the reason, the other transfers didn't work. She was honest and open with me and always gave me a reasonable explanation when she explained the process. I am now waiting for my miracle to arrive, Thank you Dr Lynn and your thorough team at number 1

I would like to thank Dr Lynn and her team. After years of trying to become pregnant she discovered I had fluid in my tubes that was stopping my embryo implanting. She fixed this up and I became pregnant on the first IVF cycle with Number 1 Fertility. Another bonus is her clinic is almost half the price to the last clinic I was at! Thank you Dr Lynn you are the best in the business!

Words cant describe how much I appreciate and look up to the work Dr lynn does. She provides all her patients a warm and caring approach to a difficult process and not to mention the beautiful environment in which it makes you feel like your so special and not clinical at all.
