Dowell Windows

DO NOT USE. Ordinary quality windows & shocking customer service. Used their recommended contractor - Maroondah Property Management - which turned out to be a huge mistake.
This contractor ordered the wrong glass for our windows (frosted v clear), lied about it, left the old window on our solar heating and broken glass and bits of wood in the yard. Halfway through the install I contacted Dowell, I was so concerned about what I was seeing, they insisted they'd never received a complaint about this mob, then quoted nearly double the original quote to have the glass replaced - all at our expense, not the contractors! Appalling experience and even worse service from Dowell.

Thank you to all the people who have sent a review, I am currently looking to replace windows at home, and thanks to all of you I have saved a painstakingly bad experience. I will definately shop elsewere.

Staff member was very reluctant to discuss their products, showed little product knowledge and was generally unhelpful. Their windows are also extremely expensive. Very confusing since I thought you would want to make a sale?

The worst possible customer service I have ever experienced! I visited your store to view showroom and place a quote this morning, Vanessa at the desk has the worst customer service skills I’ve ever encountered. To say I was looked up and down, and treated like a third class citizen would be an understatement! I actually knew what I was after and had money to spend, but was made to feel like I was total dummy! I will take my $30,000 sale elsewhere!

Poor quality windows and service. I built 3 double storey townhouses all with aluminium Dowell windows and within a couple of years so many of the winders and sliding doors have broken and can't be used. I called Dowell for a service/repair and their prices were exorbitant, and the sales manager laughed and said yes they are. I regret purchasing windows from Dowell and strongly suggest you go elsewhere.

Customer service after you order is a joke. When received, some windows had the wrong reveal sizes and several were leaking. I had to call over 20 times before they fixed the issue. The after sale treatment was an absolute joke.

Terrible customer service! Placed a order 4 weeks ago, got delivered 2 weeks ago. Measurement for internal depth wrong since then have made over 8 phone calls been handballed around. Nobody wanting to help, all ive been told is to cut the window down. Which i dont want to do because if it was made properly i wouldnt have to worry about it!

Phil Potters you Rock Fantastic customer service kept me informed every step of the way your expertise is priceless.now to the windows we got double glazed windows and doors best money we spent keeps us so warm no need to turn the heater on at all exceptional quality we had been to many other window companies comparing product before we settled on Dowell, this was purely because we found someone who knew their stuff meaning Phil Potters we are getting ready to build another home in Glen waverley and will not even consider looking elsewhere. I would not hesitate in recommending Phil and his wonderful team to everyone building and wants a great quality product Kind Regards Jennifer Solomons
