Doveton Seafood (fish And Chips) On Linden Place

Awesome chips and nice fish good batter, if they improved their potato cakes (need fish like batter on them to be more crispy) I would consider it almost the best fish and chip shop ever! Good burgers too.

Best fish and chips in the area. The staff are incredibly friendly and I always find an extra potato cake or fish bite in my pack. Chips are the best I've ever tasted, perfectly crunchy on the outside.

Fantastic food and always awesome service from the crew here. I've been going here for years now. The fish is wonderful.especially the flake grilled in crumbs. Chips are always crispy on the outside and melty soft on the inside.

New owners? The quality has dropped a bit. My last uber eats order made me wonder if the previous owner sold up. The food used to be delicious and cooked well.

After seeing reviews I was very keen to order on uber eats. I regret my decision, potato cakes batter was raw, chips soggy even though I selected crispy, snapper was not fresh at all and For $10 a portion I expected alot more! I wish i could give a good review like so many others have but I was left really disappointed. Will not be ordering again.

Amendment - distance does not make potato cakes crunchy on inside and batter raw. I wish I had taken a photo and posted but I was being kind!

Fish and Scallops are fresh and great value and the Snapper is second to none. Try a steak sandwich with the lot is a roll its my fav.

First time loved the the foodBeen trying to find a decent fish and chip shop in my area (Narre Warren) a friend recommende Doveton seafood fish and chip shop well I'm very happy with the quality of the food the service was excellent I will be back.

Food undercooked and greasy on more than one occasion. Ignored my requests and were rude to me and to their junior staff. I travel elsewhere for fish and chips and friendly service.

Placed a phone order at 6.20pm, told it would be 15 minutes. Hubby got there at 6.40, paid for the order and sat down to wait. 15 minutes later (at 6.55) he got up and asked when our order would be ready and it had been sitting on the shelf all along (since before he'd got there!) To top it off the food was basically inedible.potato cakes were black inside, dim sims were over cooked, fish had a funny taste and chips were less than average.total waste of $17.will not return and would not recommend.

Best fish and chips I have had in a while. Tasty and not greasy. Great value for money. Would highly recommend

Terrible place, treats the young staff like slaves, bullies staff, refers too staff as stupid, cooking at deep fryers with young child on hip, will never enter this premises again, unless it's with fair work Australia or work choices Australia

My favourite. I love their burgers and their battered burgers are the best. Overall the food and service are great. Only take cash as there is no eftpos.

Best fish cakes I've eaten everything is great so far eaten here a few times might be a shot location but great food

Best fish n chips. Have yet to have take away fish n chips from anywhere else that's as good. Some places the fish is good but the chips aren't, or the other way around but this place everything is good.

Went and got some fish n chips like 20 mins ago gotta sayy pretty fkn happy with what i got and the service too A+

This place takes pride in good quality fish and chips, the oil is always fresh and service is always quick and friendly. Could not ask for much more from a fish and chip shop.

Must admit have not been here for about 2 years, prior to this was weekly customer. Reason for not going - fish was oily on 3 visits, hamburgers had lost their flavour, potato cakes were thin and dry. Owner behind counter was always very bubbly and orders were always made on time with no mistakes. Might be time to retry

Great fish and chips. CRUNCHY! I live in hallam and there is 3 fish and chip shops and none are as good as Doveton seafood
I have to travel 10 minutes more but its well worth it!

Rip of place very expensive not worth it at all food was border line gross chips wore over cooked fish was dry and old I would not tell any one about this place it was foul

The owner gives TERRIBLE service and the food is barely average. No idea how they have these other good reviews
