Doveton Seafood (fish And Chips) On Linden Place

There snapper was yummy chip aswell it didn't look that clean I must say but for kiwis hanging out for a hit of snapper not bad

Got food here the other day. Tradie pack. So tasted your burger chips potato cake and dim sim.

Worst fish n chips ive ever had. Fryer oil needed to be changed years ago. Thankfully I'm not a local, and I can frequent actual fish n chip shops that care more for providing good food opposed this money hungry shop.

Complain about something to their faces? They will most likely say find somewhere else.

Ordered $75 worth of food, received a few dollars of hot chips only, told they would bring the order soon, never happened, rang and asked what was happening (2 hours have passed) told the owner would call me in 5 mins, never called and just wont answer the phone. ABSOLUTE RIP OFF, LIAR AND A CHEAT!

The grease and smell of the potato cakes and fish are disgusting.
The place smells and needs a good clean but then again it's Doveton, I shouldn't expect anything less.

Very dirty, filters above cookers haven't been cleaned for a long time, smells like built up fat. Young guy serving was cheerful and helpful. When I pointed out that their special was almost what I ordered but cheaper, no one honoured the special that I pointed out. Won't be back

Great Fish & Chips. Highly recommend this place if you want your moneys worth. Yummy. Keep it up.

Nice chips but everything else is below standard. My flake was so awful, sorry to say. Will not go back.

Doveton Linden Place Fish and chips, easily the worst fish and chips I had. I have given this place a few chances. Food was horrible, and the owner is very rude and arrogant. God knows how this place is still open, bring back the old owners. Won’t be returning that’s for sure.

Had some really nice fish n chips. Chips were nice & crunchy. We got 2 power packs for our big family.

Nice Fish and chips shops around Doveton area. Reasonable price and good quality food. I wanted to try their burgers next time.

It's kinda hit and miss here.at times its been really tasty the chips perfectly cooked and the fish tastes fresh n portions are good. Yet other times the chips are underdone n hard and it all just doesn't taste right.like the oil may be not so fresh? Overall it's worth giving a go.the burgers are usually pretty good but if you get the chicken burger make sure you ask that they put both peices of the chicken fillet, and not cut it in half and just use one of the peices.

They were good when the current owners first took over now they don't seem to care as their standards seem to have slipped and with a huge number of staff turnover the good cooks are gone. I don't know what brand of dim sims they use, they are just awful. I would have given them a 5 stars a few years ago, that's how good they were, not anymore.

Long time customer, food use to be good.first issue ask for chicken salt and that much salt is dumped on the food its not edible, for the first time ever i had to start asking for no salt.last 2 orders batter still doughy and not cooked properly.mentioned this to Larry the owner and he just made a grunt noise at me.not professional at all.and once again food undercooked.will not buy from here anymore

Another chips hub in doveton. They are open till late in the night, the fish flakes were yum and chips were finished even before we reached home.

Omg worst grilled fish i have ever had. I asked for grilled baramundi keto. And i got a piece of fish covered in flour overcooked to maybe cover up the flour crust which cost me 6 bucks. I bought 2 potato cakes for my partner which were the size of 1 potato cake and were terrible. The crows down ti tree drive say thank you for the barra and the potato cakes

Yummmm thank you for the hot kai, Hamburger in batter is a massive improvement and the meat was fresh instead of the skinny patties alot of flavour. Potato fritters YUMMM with a slim batter will be back

Was kinda let down big time, thought I’d try out this place because it had reasonably good reviews only for my fish to taste really REALLY bad, it tasted slightly off and was not appetising at all and the calamari wasn’t real calamari so yeah not gonna come back and am extremely disappointed considering I actually had high hopes for this place. I’d recommend outlook drive fish and chips as they are hands down one of the best fish and chips places in all of Melbourne and I’ve tried a lot.

Just went to Linden place. Got 4 souvlakis which were horrible. Asian owner was very rude when we commented.
