Dosa Hut Plenty Valley

Someone recommended me this resturant to try indo chinese as a Pakistani I had been craving it from long time. It was great experience. If I ever have to pay at any resturant for food for my family, this is one of the very few of them. It was super busy but they still managed to cater the order for 10 people in timely manner. We tried chicken Manchurian, Chicken 65, Egg fried Rice, Chowmein and chicken 65 biryani. Will def visit again.

You have wide variety vegetarian options in dosa, idli, biriyani, curries etc. Dosa and idli were great. Egg biriyani was good, but I like Hyderabadi biriyani this has different flavour. Gottunkai biriyani was okay, felt more like curry and rice

The food is pretty tasty, liked their chicken 65 biryani. Overall among the top 10% of Indian food joints in melbourne.

I’ve ordered the gobi65 biryani for pick up on 6th November, at 8: 27pm and it’s been like 9: 00pm and still these staff haven’t given my order. And these staff are girls are talking to each other.

We have ordered some plain naans from Dosa Hut Plenty Valley a while ago and they are not in the right quality to eat and more like plastic. And when we call to explain they said that’s how naans are and they pretended like no reception and cut the call for 2 times. Very very disappointed and will never go back and a plain naan is $4.5.

Takeaway order. Ordered masala dosa and sambhar idly. They gave just a small container of sambhar to serve with both. Requested extra yoghurt with biryani but never got it. Ordered mango lassi which came with a lid already open.
Ridiculous service.

Had a great experience here today the servings are generous and delicious would definitely recommend having a meal here.

Ordered Rogan josh, Butter Chicken and Paneer for dinner. Rogan Josh was good. The Butterchicken and Paneer were exactly same gravy, both very acidic and horrible to eat more like eating sour tomato sauce. Waste of time and money for quantity and quality. Very sad experience and will not return.

Review a year ago: It's recommended to dine-in. If it's a take away, the quantity is definitely not worth the money spent.
08/02/2023 - I love this place. Last week we had chicken 65 biryani which is my usual favourite. However, unsure if the chef or the recipe has changed, the biryani rice was very very dry and the chicken was not chicken 65 and the quantity has reduced. A friend of mine who lives in the west suburbs gave the same review. So it is just not plenty valley but other sites as well. If something has changed, please go back to the old recipe and quantity please. Thank You

We ordered the briyani and asked for mild flavour to make sure kids can enjoy it too. It was so spicy, even the adults were struggling. Rather drive to Dossa Hut in Craigeburn. Worst service Dossa Hut Plenty Valley

Absolutely poor service… it took more than an hour to get food on the table literally got “half cooked dosa”. Annoyingly late service …poor management…

Very rude and unwelcoming staff. We, a group of four were asked to vacate an empty table towards which we were redirected, after waiting for 15 minutes. They behaved as if we were there for free food.

Masala dosa was great but papdi chaat was too sweet.

Ambience
As usual, the place was very noisy.

Customer service
We were close to the counter, 2-3 staff were just staring at tables but did not bother to refill cutleries and tissue on tables. Most of tables did not have any including ours.

I ordered Chicken kolhapuri style
Bhuna goat and kerala style prawns today …. They are to die for … the taste and the quantity does justice to how the dishes are prepared, yummilicious
Would deffo try other curries and starter aswell …. Worth the price ….

Service is good, very good atmosphere, compared to last year the food tastes are below average.

This is my 4 th visit in few weeks and noticed the service of this place is not upto the expectations. I understand on busy times. We have to wait but even on quiet time. Have to wait morr than 30 minutes for one item.
Girls were busy talking and don’t even are for the services.
Hospitality needs improvements.

Customer service non existent, staff didn’t even acknowledge us when we walked in. Sat down and waited for menu but still not spoken to by staff. Left disgusted. Would not recommend to anyone.

Worst experience ever.

Time: 9: 15pm

We waited in the queue for about 25 minutes. And no one attended anyone in the queue.
Later on, we went to the counter to enquire, why no one in the queue was moving, when about 15-20 tables were empty.
The head attendant, answered aggressively, that, we can take table by ourselves.
So, i asked, why were we made to wait in the queue. And why no one informed that the queue is baseless.

She said, she doesn’t has time to attend us, and asked us to shutup and grab any table.

We confronted and told her, not to be rude, as she is in hospitality industry, to which she replied, she doesn’t cares.

We went to Dosa hut for the first time and didn’t know what to expect! Safe to say we were not disappointed we tried a variety of item from the menu and throughly enjoyed their Paneer Tikka Masala with the Garlic Naan bread and Roti Bread along with their chicken fried rice!

Tandoori chicken was super dry and one of the worst tandoori chicken I ever had. Slow service and waste of time and money.

Worst food ever I had in an Indian restaurant. Took 1 hour to get the food and after multiple followups. Never gonna visit again.
