Dosa Hut reviews
57Awful experience - served pieces of meat in the vegetarian dishes and disappointing response
Yesterday, I visited a place I sometimes go to for food. Lately, I've noticed a decline in the food quality. I ordered methi chicken and prawn curry, but both were disappointing. The food was not very hot, just a little warm, and the breads didn't taste good either. I don't plan to return and will look for another Indian restaurant for food.
(Solo dinner). Was great to see families and young couples dinning here, seems to be popular in the area. My dosa was everything i expected. The staff were attentive, food prompt and well priced.
The food was just fine. I find that they make everything way to spicy and that kills the overall taste. Additionally the service is mediocre. I had idli and shambhar and the latter was really hot and had no other flavour.
Very bad experience. Asked for special instruction with no peas and was served peas. When asked they said nothing can be done and was given back the same food
Awful service! They should close down! Always have a response of - sorry we don't have that and take ages to serve just 3 tables in the restaurant on any given day!
Food is delish but the serving is very slow. It took them more than an hour to serve a RAVA MASALA ONION. Its not the first time we experience this extremely slow service. Please prioritise dine in orders or find a way to organise it better.
Don’t get me wrong. I love other Dosa hut. But not this one, Foods just ok.not as good as other Dosa hut.
Terrible hygiene; extremely dirty from the entrance to the back and the toilet. Floors are oily and slippery has safety issue. Very disappointed
Rude staff wanted to change orders after placing within 5 minutes didn’t allowed to change won’t reco
You guys really need to signup with multiple delivery services, you are not helping you are making it worse
Good restaurant for Indian foods and snacks. Although they make verity dosas their beriyani verities are famous too. Good quality tasty food and good servicing.
Went with a friend. Asked for a vaccination certificate, and shown our seats.
Had chicken biriyani and gajar ka halwa. Food was prompt. It was very good.
I ordered Biryani, which was below standards. Rice was not cooked completely and the chicken was dry. I am so disappointed
Mirchi vada was very good. Mysore masala soda was plain but good. Uttapam was undercooked and Burnt so needs improving.
I ordered Veg Manchurian, freaking hot Paneer Tikka, Mysore masala dosa and chicken 65 Biryani.
Freaking hot Paneer tikka was just Paneer top coated with Chilli powder and didn’t have any tandoori paneer taste in it. Worst!
Veg Manchurian was edible but you can never get upset with any Dosa and chicken 65 Biryani you order. Probably the best for it in any dosa hut franchises.
No food quality. No consistency in food. Customer services are average. We ordered the pav bhaji, and it was the worst pav bhaji I ever had.
So unhygienic. We ordered mixed veg. It was so greasy. We couldn't have it. But we were running late, and the waiters were in a rush so we didn't ask to change the dish. However we did told the waiter about the quality of the food. And he didn't even bother to apologize. Even the dosa was smeared with butter. This was the second time we ate out at an Indian restaurant since coming to Melbourne. And for sure the last time we could enter dosa hut. It looked like chawl rather than a restaurant. So crowded. So unhygienic. People talking loudly. It was freezing cold inside the restaurant because they didn't care to put on the heater even though Melbourne had a warning of freezing cold temperature.
It is high time Indians restaurants work hard to earn some respect by making food which is hygienic, not floating in oil and delivered with grace.
I have been eating at this restaurant for years. It used to be good but today I had the worst experience. I ordered indo chinese and the flavours were far from indo-chinese food. Earlier it used to be very authentic but today chicken noodles had a very raw taste of egg, manchurian was just manchurian balls mixed with tomato ketchup and chilli paneer felt like kadhayi paneer. Taste is worse than what it looks like. Would not be giving another chance.
This restaurant is always my go to option. The food here is amazing…. Indo-chinese dishes just remind me of my days in Mumbai. The ambience and the service is also superb.
