The bloke behind the counter has no idea when put under pressure and by pressure I mean 3 separate orders, stuffed up my order and it's not the first time, time to find a new chicken shop.

It's a little chicken shop in size run by a husband and wife team. Charcoal chicken and variety of salads is faboulos with chips made to order, can't beat that. Always happy with the service from this hard working couple

Nice chicken, chips and gravy. The snitzel burger is a good size - very filling. They also do vegetarian burgers. This place is a little pricey but the quality is decent.

The chicken here is bloody unreal.full of flavour and cooked perfectly. You can tell the guy who runs the shop really loves his food. Quite possibly the best charcoal chicken i've had in Melbourne. Hughesdale should the envy of all Melbourne suburbs with a chicken shop this good.

Don Pollo is such a great example of a true local barbecue chicken shop. Expect to share a friendly chat while waiting for your order. It's clean, fresh and the food is great - still haven't worked out the herbs on the chicken but it's fantastic as are the salads and burgers. It's our local 'go to' when work takes its toll and you need something tasty and fast for the dinner table.

This shop only has a small amount of chickens cooking at anyone time. If you should pass by to pickup or hoping to pickup a chicken for tea expect to be dis appointed because 9 times out of 10 there won't be any spare.

Where to start?
It’s the best tabouli salad I’ve ever had. And I’m a salad dodger! That’s some tasty healthy salad there that you must try. Perfect for a hangover. But stocks are always low so get in early.
The chicken is great as you would expect from a charcoal chicken shop as are the chips and gravy but the real surprise is the burger. I’ve been eating at Grill’d for some time but my god this tops it hands down. Not overly juicy and just the right amount of seasoning in the meat coupled with the crispy bacon. I was truly satisfied and will be back for this some more.
Such a friendly family business that is well worth a visit.
