Don Pollo Plus Charcoal Chicken & Burgers

This place is my go to for lunch. I work in the neighbourhood and it's the best charcoal chicken in the area. Price and service is great and as for the chicken? Always fresh and juicy! Grab the chicken burger you won't be disappointed by how how generous they are!

$9.50 for medium chips and gravy. Was very average and a bit bland. A bit overpriced for the quality. The gravy was nothing to rave about, neither the chips. I also asked for the chips to be extra crispy, but was cooked normally

My go to Chicken shop. The charcoal chicken is delicious (just ask the dog) Great selection of salads. The scalloped potatoes are a favourite. They also have a good menu of burgers.

The long blond hair in the half chicken looks disgusting, looking like human hair.

Asked for a receipt, shop owner asked if he can hand write one on a piece of paper? Don't see this often today.

The best charcoal chicken in the area! Succulent and tasty chicken and the chips are cooked and seasoned perfectly every time. Generous portions too. I highly recommend the scalloped potato, gravy, and chicken schnitzel burger. Owners are lovely too, highly recommend

Hannibal and Ruba are the best - always friendly and ready to help you with your choices and by the way the food on offer is great including the salad bar on top of the chicken which by the way is my favourite - I highly recommend the hot pack if wanting dinner for one.

One of the driest chickens I’ve ever eaten. The bones were more tender. Chips were fine though.

Delicious chicken and great value family deal.

We had avoided the shop for years after not great experiences (possibly with a different owner), wish we had tried against sooner. I have had a few chooks from here recently and they are delicious, also yummy chips and salads. A new regular lazy dinner.

Delicious flavoursome chicken. I usually get the chicken schnitzel chips and gravy, yummy thick and juicy. Owners are nice and friendly.very good service

Decent food with significant portions at a reasonable price.

I got the 1/2 chicken and chips with tabouli on the side. I also got some gravy for the chips. I thought the charcoal chicken was mediocre and lacked a bit of flavour. The chips were serviceable and a lot better with the gravy. The tabouli was incredible, and I recommend it as a must-pick side. The portion sizes were enormous, and it was very filling.

Expect to spend around $16-20 for a combo meal here.

Chicken and chips lacked seasoning, all we could taste was white pepper?
And coleslaw very salty and a little off, like it was several days old. Disappointing all round and a waste, coleslaw was inedible. Should of got a Coles chicken. Sorry an honest review.

1/4 Chicken + Chips - The chicken was succulent and cooked perfectly all the way through.
The chips were crunchy, fresh, and had a great seasoning zest to them.

Great customer service from the owner Hannibal, a lovely spot in Hughesdale.

The flavour that the chicken is cooked with is amazing and the meat is juicy and tender. Best charcoal ckicken i have had in a long time, friendly staff as well, highly recommend.

Excellent charcoal chicken and nice flavoursome chips with chicken salt. Get it with gravy and you'll be laughing at how good it is. Nice quick service and really reasonable prices. Everything you want in a chicken shop.

Chicken wrap was really small for $10: 50. There were 2 bones in the wrap both over 20mm long. Nearly choked on one. Pretty disappointing for my first visit.
