I have been told to attend one of dons many locations foor a long while now and have never made it work. I was so nervous that it would not live up to the hype. When that bowl of curry beef don arrived i must admit. It looked less than appertising, but waft from that steaming pile of brown mess was tantalising and as i scooped in the forst mouthful i was hit with a complex layering of flavour. Minutes later it was gone. If i wasnt already so stuffed i would have considered paying the poultry sum again for another. Recommended

The ambience of this place has gone sour, staff is rude and doesn’t care if we hear what they say about us. Could hire some better staff with a more positive attitude. If you don’t like your job, do something else.

Don dons is very hit and miss excellent one night bad the next time sometimes the curry dish I get the chicken is over cooked burnt and dry and the curry sauce cold I asked if they could please heat my sauce up more for me nicely with manners and all I got back was the young man just rolled his eyes at me and took it away with out saying anything how rude is that I even had to go back in 5 mins later and ask where my sauce has gone while in the mean time my meals gone cold and the place is also very filthy dirty spilt dry old food on every outside table never cleaned ever he even had a break when I was there sat inside on his phone the whole time and didn’t even bother to wipe some tables down 4 stars one night 1 star the next time the health department would have a field day if they turned up one night must do better and l have never seen the owner come in to check on the place?

I love Dondon. I have been a customer for many years, since about 2007. This is the worst DonDon I've ever been to. Tastes nothing like the one in CBD. Bad rice, teriyaki chicken has no flavour.

I would say it depends on who is cooking, but I won't be visiting here again anytime soon. Yuck

I always enjoy my meal here. Made-to-order food is cooked and delivered promptly and in a friendly manner.

Prices are very reasonable and good for people on a budget.

A steady turnover of customers is obviously testament to their regular patronage among the locals.

Single use plastic forks and spoons are used here so if that's not your thing being your own.

On this particular visit the restaurant was a tad dirty with visible dried sauce on un-wiped table tops, bits of lettuce and rice on the floor and dirty tables uncleared. I get that you aren't paying for five star service, however, basic cleanliness goes a long way.

Top marks for checking vaccination certificates.

I've been here twice now and I'm not even a local, so it's worth searching for and going to (again and again, might I add!).

It's a little bit hidden, but not hard to find.

I consider myself a bit of a professional when it comes to Japanese food, although, don't take my word for it. Decide for yourself!

Give it a go, it's got my tick of approval.

Come there frequently. Sometimes they are too busy to just acknowledge and ask to wait.

Essential for anyone in the inner-west. Don Don is some of the best curry I've ever had, especially considering the portion size and the price.

Got a takeaway salmon sashimi with salad instead of rice. It is so fresh and delicious and only $11. Will definetely be making this one of my local spots to eat at

Don Don is one of the best meals I've had in the area. They provide a friendly and super fast service, they have outdoor seating, and their meals are ridiculously tasty and have great portion sizes for the price.
Highly recommend that you get Don Don tonight and at least once a week for the rest of time.

So delicious. I have eaten dozens of the salmon sashi don. You get SO MUCH salmon with this dish. It's so affordable and tasty and filling. Service is straightforward and fast. I absolutely love Don Don, can't get enough!
