Dohtonbori (Doncaster) -Japanese Okonomiyaki Restaurant

First time here and had a really great experience! Food was delicious and staff were very helpful and attentive! I enjoyed the Hiroshima style okonomiyaki. Will definitely be coming back!

Worst experience ever. We made the book prior to the visit and still waited outside with no one escorted us for 15 minutes. The overall wait time was ridiculously unbelievable. 30mins for the first dish with even no drink brought to the table, 3 dishes in one hour, and M9 wagyu beef served to us was frozen like stone. We were asked by the staff to cook ourselves as they claimed they don’t have experienced staff. Not sure why they claimed themselves as Japan’s first okonomiyaki specialist restaurant with in fact there is not even 1 Japanese staff in the whole restaurant. Spent almost $80 on 3 dishes plus one drink is also unreasonable at all. I would give no star if there is such option

The service is worse than before, they hired so many unprofessional waiter and waitresses who don’t even know how to cook properly. Even one waitress let us do ourselves. Come on this is not buffet this is restaurant. If you don’t have enough staff then limit the number of tables. Would not recommend until they solve the issue

This was possibly the worst experience of my life. The staff was cluless and and the manager either didnt care. We ordered food and drinks, the drinks came an hour late and the food arrived frozen. After telling them that its frozen, no one cared to give any explanation and the manager just picked up the plate and just took it back. Then we asked for the beers, they kept saying its on the way but we could clearly see that there was no one at the bar. The restaurant has the worst service ever. If you dont want to waste your money and time, then please dont go there.

My friend and I couldn't decide on our lunch. Fiona managed to talk us into it. What an excellent worker. She is passionate with her job. The food was fresh and nice. Highly recommend

It was our first time here and we tried a variety of snacks and okonomiyaki! Expensive but worth it. Super yummy and welcoming service, they also cook it for you.

Quite happy with he food. The girl who served us was new but very friendly. However The Manager looking male was a bit. We asked whether we can sit by the window. The girl asked the manager Then she came back asking us to wait for a bit. The man came and was quite strict asking to check our vaccine cert. We td him the girl has already checked on that. He said no i still need to see it. After We showed him he asked us time sit at the same table the girl originally asked us to sit. I asked him can't we sit by the window? He snapped at me saying no we can't serve you there it's pretty late already blablabla. Felt like we were told off by asking a very normal question. ️ the set is good value as we ordered ourselves and then it came out to be 75 per head. And we ordered less thing than the set menu. So i recommend that

The atmosphere at Dohtonbori Doncaster is great and is a relaxing environment. Friendly staff and well presented food.

This is my third time at the restaurant this week. Fantastic service every single time! Food is great and ambience is phenomenal. Thank you to the Dohtonbori Team at Westfield for always giving 110%.

First time coming here and it has been a fun experience! I love the interior and there’s the option to try it yourself with help with videos and a easy to read how to or get one of the workers to help. Food was delicious and brought out in a timely manner.

Excellent food! Reminds me of travels to Japan and it's such a nice ambience in the restaurant too. Other than the wait time (for the food to cook), everything else was fantastic! And it was such a unique experience too:) would recommend to anyone craving okonomiyaki

Had a lovely experience! Was kindly offered a table and service was timely. The staff helped cook our food to perfection! The summer drinks was also a fantastic compliment to the food. Will be back!

Was so looking forward to this restaurant, but very disappointed with the services, waiting time and quality of food. No manners at the front reception, no welcome, walked straight away after ticked our name off the list, didn't say anything.so.what's next? Food are overcooked, karaage chicken hard like a rock. Dumplings had no flavor, pancakes was good because we cooked it ourselves. Oh.we used tablet to order food, oil and dirty, they didn't wipe or clean it after the previous patrons used, so same tablet passing around tables. Conclusion - me and my friends wouldn't go back.

The ambience is fantastic, spacious, clean and family friendly. Many options to choose from the menu. They cooked the food on the hot plate for you and it was perfect. Will go back again.

Absolutely five-star experience we had at Dohtonbori! Interiors are amazing and immersive. This place offers different kinds of Japanese okonomiyaki. Foods are delightful and classy. Great service. Definitely will be returning!
