Dohtonbori (Doncaster) -Japanese Okonomiyaki Restaurant

Great atmosphere and fun experience to cook your own Okonamiyaki. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. Good options for vegetarians as well. Highly recommend.

We loved our DIY okonomiyaki experience at Dohtonbori! The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and polite and took time to explain the DIY process. The atmosphere brought back memories of our travels in Japan:)

Slow slow slow; Such high hopes were dashed when the salmon tartare I ordered was said to be unavailable, after a significant wait; so reordered some chicken skewers and as they still hadn’t arrived by the time we had finished our meal, I requested a refund on both the unavailable item and the not yet delivered item.

Great experience from beginning to end, upon entry we were greeted by their friendly staff who was very attentive throughout our meal.
Food was of a high quality and fresh, we will definitely be back in the future.

Food was okay, but not worth the price. As a relatively new restaurant, I went in without too many expectations, but this just simply was not it.
More concerning was the floor staff and how everything was handled. Manager seemed like he was having a bad day or hates his job. He acts pretty rudely and I witnessed a waiter being harshly scolded by him. Understandably management might be frustrated, but it seemed like is taking it out on the employees in front of customers as well.
While this isn't the worst place you could go to, there are so many more better places within Westfield.
I do not recommend.

Disappointing. Some items were really good but a lot of them were very blend. The service was almost non-existent. They give you an ipad where you can order and get instructions on how to cook your order and disappear after. A lot of the items on the menu were not available including coffee! The answer from the maitre d was that they have a big menu! I picked the restaurant based on the menu so frustrating to not get what I was hoping for.

The waiters were very kind and making the food was a great experience. Will definitely be coming back here again.

Really lovely evening. Food was great and we had Tristan cooking for us who was fantastic. Our little one got to have a bit of fun too and did some cooking.

Do not go to this place! You will be ripped off. We spent more than $360 on food and didn't even fill our bellies up! We went with 3 other people. I can only recommend coming here if you're like Elon Musk or something, food is way overpriced. We also booked for a spot but our table wasn't even ready! We waited for 10 minutes for it to be cleaned up, waste of time. Food tasted average, waited for an hour for it. Not worth the crazy amount spent here.

A brilliant meal and experience for my wife's birthday. Haven't had Okonomiyaki this tasty since we were in Japan.

Also worth mentioning that after a mix up with the Cabernet Sauvignon we ordered being unavailable (and the Merlot from the same winery being brought out instead) management were very active in returning and replacing the wine.

All the wait staff were accepting of us as first time customers being new/inexperienced to the DIY aspect of the Okonomiyaki; so we had dishes prepared for us.

Rip off! Ordered one Tepanyaki crab fried rice and one chicken fried rice. According to the menu, one serve is for 2-3 people, Lol. If you want to eat mostly rice with a few strands of carrot and the smallest amount of meat possible, this is the one for you. Expensive, flavourless and disappointing. What a joke!

Really bad service. Only two dishes served over one and half hours.
Also, they served us a frozen wagyu M9 steak which cost 59 dollars, that was terrible and ridiculous.
We left the restaurant starving and went to other restaurants.
The manager did not do her jobs properly. She did not even apologize to us.

Tasty, extensive selection of dishes.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Choose the signature dishes, you will not go home hungry, and you'll come back again.

Excellent food and service! Very yummy with real time cooking in front of us! Luckily we come on Thu night to avoid long queue!
