Dishlickers Resort

We have been clients of Dishlickers for several years, initially with our elderly pugs that have now passed on (one of which was relatively high needs), and we always had peace of mind that they would be OK with Merv and the team.
They now care for 2 of our families Dobermanns, and my mother's dog, who is also high energy.
Dishlickers are a very caring team have that have been wonderful to my Mother (that is disabled) over the years of caring for her animals. Particularly in an unfortunate emergency situation (that was beyond their control) requiring vet treatment.
We would just like to say a big thank you for taking care of our furry family, guys and always helping out with extensions, drops offs, pick ups for Mum and grooming.
You do a wonderful job!

Our Spoodle has stayed with Dishlickers 4 or 5 times now and she seems to have been really happy. A big thank-you though for the relaxed attitude at Dishlickers when we rang to advise we would be two days late, in picking up our beloved pooch, as Virgin Airlines cancelled our flight and couldn't arrange a replacement any earlier. Our holdiay was extended and so was our dogs! Thanks Dishlickers!

NOT send your dogs here. Our 11 month old staffy x and 13 month old heeler both have KENNEL COUGH. Our dogs went there 11 days ago happy and healthy. Our staffy is so damm skinny he has lost so much weight that I can fit my fist in his collar now. They only fed them once a day. Our dogs are super active and they did not provide enough food. When we called they told us that they had noticed that our staffy had lost weight and he was meant to go on dinners but it didn't happen. We picked them up and they are so sick. They present so larthagic thay they just flop. The vet today said that the staffy is on the end of kennel cough that means he had it whilst in their care which they deny. Our heeler had to have an anti inflammatory injection and they are both on antibiotics. I am so upset Our dogs are so sick. There is clearly NO duty of care. Please do not send your dogs here

Always look after our dogs. And that's not an easy thing. Our boy can be a handful, and by the time we pick them up, he's everyone's best friend! Best in the business

We've been taking our numerous dogs to Dishlickers for years. The staff there have always been fantastic and all 6 (over many years) of our dogs, have always been well looked after, well fed and loved their stay there. Every one of them always remembered and got excited when they got to return.

Fabulous care for the 10 or so years, would not even bother with anyone else. This facility is a second home. A home away from home, our fur kids have had a great experience, have always been loved and well looked after.

They served quality Black Hawk dog food to my dog and pup, and also allowed our own food. All of my concerns were eased and they were very accommodating when our flights were cancelled and we needed extra time at short notice. The staff were friendly and I felt very comfortable leaving my furry companions in their care. Great heating and cooling quarters for animals. I would highly recommend the accommodation for a reasonable price.

Great experience with Dishlickers! We were a bit hesitant to put our dogs in a boarding kennel after hearing mixed reviews, but Dishlickers has changed our minds on that completely. Dogs seemed to have had a great time and tails wagging, smelling fresh upon pick up.
Will definitely be sending them here again - great friendly staff.

We have taking our girl tingles there.she comes home happy.the closure where she sleeps has in and out doors.
It's great they can go outside when they want too

We just picked up our adorable pug, Tim from Dishlickers Resort after a long stay and we are absolutely happy that we have chosen them. Tim seems to be very happy with his stay. The girls there are wonderful. We exchanged emails during the stay and Naomi responded within reasonable timeframe considering it’s a busy period. They even cleaned his bed and belongings before returning. We highly recommend Dishlickers.

Can't get any better boarding kennel. I've know Merv for years. You couldn't find a better person to look after your fur family

My fathers dog sustained a huge a cut on his back leg whilst staying here. They said they don't know how it happened but it looks like it was cut with some loose metal. My dad had to pay the veterinary bill and the boarding cost. Absolutely disgusting, NEVER going back.

Very pleased with Dishlickers as they always take great care of my Malamute Atka. Atka has been a regular with Dishlickers for many years now and each time I drop him off and pick him up he is so happy to be there, he just loves it and its evident in how ecstatic he is! Jess is wonderful with Atka and I can see her genuine care and love for looking after the animals, it really eases my mind each time I leave Atka because I know he is in great hands with Jess. I wouldn't want to take him anywhere else:)

Truly cared for my cat while I was away. Will take any pet of mine to them without a doubt.

My dog loves the place! Girls are caring and he's so excited to go to day care or when boarding. Couldn't recommend them highly enough!

Our large dog was well catered for whilst we enjoyed our holiday. We were happy to see no change in his behaviour on picking him up, unlike other kennels, where he has met us with laying on his back peeing everywhere.

I worked at Dishlickers for 3 years and worked along side Jess, Sam and Annie they were the best group of ladies to work with. Animals where treated like they were our own. I would not hesitate to take my dog or cat here for short term or long stays as I know they are in the best hands. Even when things went wrong as sometimes they do seeing Jess and Sam in action you could not ask for anyone better to be looking after your fur baby they are in the best hands.
Merv and Shelley where also the best bosses to work for between them and the staff it actually felt like a great big family hanging out and with the biggest pleasure of looking after peoples fur babies I loved working here it always put a smile on my face coming to work and l learnt so much. Thank you Merv, Shelley, Jess, Sam, Annie and Leanne for everything
