Since moving to the new premises in Elizabeth Street, the look and feel has vastly improved so worth a visit. Not the cheapest products but look out for the deals and you’ll get value for money. Most of the staff are knowledgeable and pleasant so I’m happy to buy my gear at digidirect.

Online store of Digidirect is just disgraceful. We ordered a Cfexpress card on 22nd July and it was offered with express delivery. On 26th they sent me an email saying "We have been in contact with our supplier, who has indicated they do not currently have an approximate date of delivery". I rang them on 1st of Aug to check what's happening and their rep said the same thing it's not in stock and can't provide any date on which it'll be delivered. Then I checked their online store & it's still offering the card for sale even they don't have in stock.
I had same experience with them over a year ago when they took over 7-8 months and still didn't deliver what I bought so I had to buy another item. I thought their service must have improved but I was wrong they are still doing the dodgy stuff by holding on to customer's money without providing any date on when they can deliver the product.

Unfriendly/unhelpful Staff:
I went to the store today to politely ask if they can check my latest update regarding one order I placed on Digidirect official website. The Female Asian staff was rude, unprofessional and refused to offer any help. She told me 'you have to call the online team cause it's a online order'. Considering you guys are Digidirect, I don't understand why customers should know your company structure to get a tiny help. Won't recommend this place for anyone looking for quality customer service.

Absolutely terrible customer service. This was the second time I purchased something which was critical to a shoot coming up, only to find that the items are out of stock and on back order. Paid for express shipping, didn't receive any form of notification for over a week that the item was unavailable. Multiple chats, emails ands calls all unanswered. Finally got through only to be told that the item was not going to arrive in time - almost two weeks after placing the order. Highly recommend checking the stock before purchasing, as customer service after purchase is almost non existent.

Called beforehand and had items put aside before collecting at the Melbourne store. Team member Jarrod was incredibly helpful and courteous when arriving. Was able to collect and pay for items in a speedy manner and was out the door in a flash as i only had 15 minutes of parking on the meter.

Highly recommend digiDirect Melbourne and the service I received from Jarrod.

Am jumping online again right now to purchase more stuff.

I honestly don't understand how staff can be so rude and unhelpful. I was hoping to spend a large amount of money here on a Sony A7IV and G-Master lens, but instead I was told to shop elsewhere when asking about expected delivery times. I'll never shop here again.

Prices on website don't reflect what is in their computer system, so had to chase a partial refund when I was overcharged. Still chasing an updated receipt for warranty etc as the original one they misspelt my name. Staff member told me outright that they were "all useless". Can't argue with that. Don't waste your time or your money.

I bought my first camera body (canon 90D) from digiDirect - Melbourne CBD branch during lockdown through online shopping, click and collect. Also I bought camera lens, camera big bag, and lens cleaning pack. The discount rate was great and after searching alot I could not find such prices in other shops. The customer service especially online chatting is awesome and very helpful. I chatted many times about the stock availability and every time they answered very fast. I strongly recommended to buy your camera and other related stuffs from digiDirect.

I have just encountered a very rude staff. Other staff are very helpful but I was treated poorly by this guy (i won’t drop his name) when I was looking for a sling bag for my camera. I have been a loyal customer. Disappointed. Sad.

I only buy my camera equipment from digiDirect. They always seem to have the latest stuff in stock, at the best prices, and delivered promptly.
No hesitation ordering from digiDirect. Highly recommended.

Similar to other people I have had an order cancelled by the online team without explanation and anyone reaching out from the store. It was bought through eBay and the stock is still there in the other online stores but they have said it is not there anymore. I feel this practice of taking money and not providing any reasonable means of recourse or working a solution out is not good for the company. I am happy to amend my rating when or if I hear back from the sales support team. To date nothing. But it is the weekend. But it is on the weekend that they have cancelled it

Happy for you to come free the same price point as the cancelled order through eBay. Please provide me a contact to which I can place an order direct with your team and work through the issue.

Thought of purchasing something from digidirect but then thinking of my last experience just hit me hard.there was a fault with the lens and Sigma service centre acknowledged and replaced the lens for me but not Digidirect.instead they decided to be rude and unethical with me instead of acknowledging the issue.i personally feel like as if they are doing a favour for selling something to me.so i just thought of calling them today regarding a lens and yet again i'm not surprised how they talk to customers.conversation- me-" hey.im just wondering if you guys have tamron 24-70. " i didn't even get a chance to complete my sentence and i got a reply " NO " i thought he was taking to someone else but then he answered with a busy tone atleast.
Anyways.i'm done giving second chances to this store,

Had some problems, but thankfully they were willing to listen and were able to resolve. This one thing is worth more than gold to me in an online world where retailers seem to be able to dismiss you too easily.

I had been researching a particular lens for a while. I purchased in store and got a better price than I had seen elsewhere. Plus a UV filter thrown in at half price. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Ordered an instax mini camera bundle, and it was shipped to me in just a plastic satchel, no protection. The box arrived squished and torn. I was going to gift this to my sister for her upcoming birthday and now have to individually wrap all the components rather than giving it to her in the nice 'gift set' packaging. Hoping the camera itself is not damaged, but will not know until she opens it on her birthday. Really disappointed with how this was shipped and the lack of care taken considering how much I spent.

Treated poorly by staff when I went in to buy a new camera and lens. (Maybe because i looked young?). Went to JB next door and spent $3k there instead. Super disappointing considering i used to always buy from here pre-lockdown.

I have waited over 20 days and still haven't received my item. I have contacted customer service multiple times and have had little to no help. I would urge anyone else to avoid using digiDirect Melbourne if they value their time and sanity.

Don't do it to yourself. Taking payment for goods not in stock and sending a dismissive email days later that states we don't know when it will become available. That's unethical practice right there. If you must deal here make sure you use PayPal so you have some comeback.
I gave time for a resolution but never heard back. Smell like trouble to me.

Not so happy camera. I never can be bother writing reviews but out of sheer frustration I will today. They have a shocking business method where they do have the cheapest items but they pretty much don't stock any items. So you'll have to wait at least 5 weeks for it, could potentially have to wait nearly 3 months! What you do is get a price match from their competitors or close enough and buy it elsewhere. Boom.clean up your act Digi.
