Used to be good and willing to go the extra mile to help customer. Now unfortunately the store is run by an egocentric manager and not willing to anything which is slightly too hard. Really gives out a weird vibe shopping there (the feeling that you own them a big favor to get them to do any customer service). Maybe they sell some stuff cheaper, but I wouldn’t recommend if you want to be treated like a normal customer. Do yourself a favor and walk out their door & walk a bit further to Teds or JB

I purchased my first camera with digiDirect 10 years ago and I keep purcahsing stuff from them from time to time in the last 10 years. Eventhough something unexpected happened during the current purchase, offline staff is good.
But
Do not purchase anything from their website. The service sucks. I purchased a lens online and after one week, nothing dispatched, no one contacted me until I tried to figure out what happened. The customer service team representative (Jonathan Magbag) gave an emotionless answer and left before the conversation is end.

I vowed not to buy from here but gave them another go. Once again sold me a product that was out of stock. Unlike other retailers there website gives no indication of stock levels. Rather than keep me informed I had to raise a ticket to find out what was happening. No product and no ETA. Was told they would contact me in two weeks. I won’t be dupped again to by from digiDIRECT.

Outstanding customer service and knowledge from Gaelan. I was after a Sony ZV E10 and he was able to guide me through the lens options, demonstrate, explain what they mean and gave a seamless experience. Also, gave me a very competitive price for my camera body and lens. Thanks again, he is an asset to digiDirect.

It was Ok, nothing special. The store's range is very good and it has a nice ambience. However, the person who served me was not very interested in making a sale and could not tell me a thing about the camera that I bought.

This is a subsequent purchase. Tried to order during holiday and special price. Tried to place order and had an error message and coupon no longer works. When I got a reply for a new coupon, the price expired. I had evidence of the price in my cart and they refused to honour though no fault of mine.

I'm definitely not a happy customer.

The lady over the phone was extremely rude and did not want to help me at all. While I begged to ask her to check my situation she was like I can’t help you with this as we haven’t heard about your item then I followed up with a question saying what name did you check it was a whole different person. Then I had to beg again for her to check my details and then hung up on me. Very rude and unhelpful, doesn’t seem like she knows what she is doing either.

They are not the cheapest on the market… I’ve asked them to match the price of Clean Portable Power and they didn’t!
Sorry guys, but if you’re having such a policy, why not following it?

I had a problem with a new Canon lens and digiDirect promptly sorted out a replacement under warranty and had it posted to my home. Excellent service.

I bought a camera from here before setting off on a 12-month lap of the country. About 3 months into my trip, the camera stopped working, wouldn't turn on and wouldn't charge. Phone support told me to bring it in for warranty repair when I get the chance. They said that was the only way they could even when I told them that wouldn't be for another 9 months.

So 9 months worth of camera-less travel later, I arrive in Melbourne and bring it in to the store. I tell them no when I'm asked if I checked the battery, why would I when the camera was bought new 3 months before breaking. The assistant promptly pulls out the battery from the display model, and voila the problem was solved. I was then charged $50 for the new battery - a battery I could've bought 9 months ago while I still had a use for it.

Terrible online experience, this company advertises stock they don't have. I purchased during the black Friday sales with an advertised arrival of 9 days. On the 9th day I was told this had changed to late December, and then later told they didn't know when it would arrive. By this time there were no sales and no way of getting the item by Christmas. More than a month later I received a refund and I'm back where I started.

Do not purchase online with this company, I’m sure the physical store is great but my online experience has been nothing but.

I’ve spent 2k plus on products that seemingly looked like they were in stock, they even accepted me paying extra for express 1-3 delivery…. Only to find out everything was on back order and not expected for 2-3 weeks. With no offer of a refund.
I needed the gear this weekend. So disappointed

Extremely disappointing
I ordered and paid for two products in November.
I have received neither of these. I have received emails saying that they don't even know when they will be back in stock. This is entirely unacceptable as I have paid 286 dollars and have nothing to show for it. You should not be able to pay for the product online if you do not have it in stock. No refund has been offered.
I have tried emailing back to your sales team and only ever received very confusing replies.
I have also tried to contact your online store on several occasions, and no-one picks up the phone. I have requested a call back and not got one.  I am really disappointed with the service from digiDirect.
I rarely ever leave a review, but I am shocked by how bad digiDirect were to deal with.
Take your money elsewhere

The worst customer service ever!

I ordered a portra 800mm film and lomograhpy 35mm film on the 27/06/22 and followed up with them via email on the whereabouts of my order. With no confirmation email about if they received the order, i simply asked for a refund and never got one. Poor communication error on their part, as they did not respond back to my email.

Money waster!

Today I got a notification from the Australian post saying that my delivery was coming. It had taken them 6 MONTHS to send my order. Absolutely ridiculous!

What a waste of time and my money to wait for film that should of been delivered not even 2 weeks ago from when I purchased. I suggested that Teds Cameras has better customer service than Digi direct has.

Never, ever, ever, EV-AH, ordering from here again!

Digidirect are the absolute best in what they do, excellent staffs, gives expert advice, and will go above and beyond for their customers I've been here since the moment I started getting into photography and they have been my go to ever since. Thank you so much guys for helping me with getting my polarise filter for my lens and the camera handstrap today.too bad I can only post 1 review per account otherwise I'd be posting every time I visit! Absolute champs!
