Fantastic miniature railway. One ride takes you for a 15 minute journey thru the DV woodlands. Can get busy on good weather days, but trains are frequent, so the waits aren't long at all. Good fun for all ages

Attended a 4 year-old's birthday party here. It was delightful! Safe play spaces, plenty of tables for picnicking and of course, the trains and staff were the Stars! Fabulous!

Gorgeous little railway run by volunteers. Very affordable and the ride goes for longer than you'd expect. The little ones love it!

Great little mini railway, lots of fun for family and children. Relaxing and scenic with fun screaming through the tunnels. Highly recommended.

Top spot to entertain young kids. The railway has been perfectly curated with much love from an army of volunteers. I can't believe it still only costs $3 per person after so many years. Although they open at 11AM on Sunday, I recommend arriving at 10.30AM to get a park, wander around and to get in line. There are several adjacent parks for kids to run around before or after the train ride.

This review is incorrect: it should be six stars. If there bare hidden gems in Melbourne, this is one of them.

Run by friendly and enthusiastic volunteers. The $3 is a bargain for the awesome 18 minute ride.

Highly recommended

Great fun for the kids and very reasonably priced. Bit of a wait for trains so be prepared for that.

Awesome place! All volunteer-run and only $3 per ride! They don't cram you in either. You really get to enjoy your ride!

Excellent family fun. Friendly volunteers. Tickets are $3 a go. It can get busy but they have lots of trains with two platform operating so you don't wait around a long time. Lots of different train - stream trains and diesel trains. The train line snake throughout the park. The park has great facilities - coffee cart and sausage sizzle

Had a blast.came here for my nephew's 2nd birthday, but really you don't need a kid to have an excuse to go and check this out. Superb value for money - $3 for a decent ride around the layout. Tunnels, bridges and ponds, beautiful area - awesome time!

A great time for the whole family! Sometimes the parking is difficult and the queue is quite long, so be patient. But the experience is very memorable, with fantastic volunteers running the place and remarkably detailed trains. Would highly recommend!

This is an excellent place for a day out. The line might be long but it moves very quickly and the queue is under cover. Tickets are $3 ea, so really good value for a 10min ride. They have lots of toilets near by in decent condition and lots of picnic areas in and out of the shade.

The Diamond Valley Miniature Railway is a great Sunday activity for kids and at $3 per person (free for < 2Yrs) it's a bargain! Plenty of open areas for other activities as well - including horse / pony rides.

A staple Eltham multi-generational attraction. The price had barely increased in 30 years, yet the amenities of the railway and adjacent park are always improving. Excellent value.
