Lovely venue for an upscale Italian meal. The prices are a bit higher than most other Italian but it's higher quality so it's great if you're celebrating a special occasion. We had a few seafood dishes and they were very fresh and tasty with enough seafood.

After many years of enjoyment we are having to eat takeaway but what takeaway. The food being cooked by John and his staff during these tough times has been excellent and the heat and eat makes not being able to go out that bit more enjoyable. Thanks to all the staff who’ve made a takeaway that much more

Hmmm.mixed feelings.not in a hurry to go back.nice decor.reasonable menu selection but definateky not bake for quality.on a table for a party of 8.we were the only table not to have a table cloth.with the back to a door and a pos terminal behind me I felt cold with the constant draft and continually had wait staff moving my back as they rushed around to enter things in the pos.as for food.well some of us had pizza.mine with the Italian sausage was tastless it was boring.the mexicana was delicious.and the Aussie was ok.but nothing special and at$30 each is where I start to get real concerns.its your usual big plate small dish arrangement and I felt sorry for those who ordered pasta.they were entree sized meals. The crumbed veal looked boring.a bit of crumbed meat and some rocket.let's call it for what it was.nothing special.over priced.could find better in Kew.staff were a bit cheeky, loved to listen into a conversation and make comment.but after posting the bill and walking out.no one really said thank you.not the young staff or the older ones who I assume were the owners.no bye.no thank you.nothing.did we not spend enough on drinks, meal, dessert.looks great from the road.but I would keep driving

Lockdown takeaway can be disappointing but we got a beautiful meal from Dipalmas. Generous serves, nice and hot and very tasty. And they gave us a tub of chocolate ice-cream on top! Happy to recommend.

The best gnocchi we have ever had! All dishes are delicious! Good service too! Highly recommended

Excellent Kew Local restaurant. Calamari is light and tasty, the duck leg was well cooked and crispy. Pizzas are great too but a little on $$$ side.

Fantastic service and devine dishes! I had the eye fillet with mushroom and mash, probably the best option on the menu. Never skip the dessert they are brilliant! The back cellar room is a great place for meeting where you get the privacy and still the attention from the staff.

The special arrangements for bathrooms are great. Instead of little cubicles, these are individual rooms so it isn't like sharing space with anyone.

Delicious food. Delightful staff. We booked online for mothers day not realising it was set 3 course menu which didn't really suit our family. The staff, management & chefs went out of their way to accommodate us all. Couldn't fault anything. Will definitely return.

Best food in East Kew. Best woodfire pizza. One of my favourite places to go out to. (The take away food is amazing too.)

Long term customer: Entree was fantastic but main course was a bit disappointed. We Ordered Fish of the day "Mahi Mahi" & Crumbed veal - a bit bland and lack of flavor. Another suggestion is time to renew the menu. Service is 5 stars

Not what it used to be. I've been going to Di Palmas since it began back in the California Motor Inn at Barkers road. I take family and friends to their Kew restaurant often through the year and also take staff there for Christmas breakup dinner. Sadly it no longer allows patrons to bring wine, which was always a wonderful thing especially when taking friends and you want to take a special bottle of wine. Have no issue if they want to charge a reasonable corkage. The family atmosphere is not the same anymore but the food is still good. Most people like to have some plain bread at the start of their meal, however it is not offered even if you haven't ordered a dish of focaccia or bruschetta. You have to ask for it. The very best restaurants in Melbourne especially the icons who have been in business over 30 years always just bring bread because they realize customers expect and love it. After we finished our aperitifs we had to ask for the wine list. Staff could see we had finished but didn't bother to ask if we wanted wine. They look but don't see unfortunately. So unless things change I will not be returning for some time and will take my business elsewhere.

Oh my gosh so good, after a tipsy walk there, the food was amazing. The pizza is cooked perfectly and filling in a satisfying way rather than the too full feeling (it depends on how much you eat I guess)

I had dinner at Di Palmas tonight, the first night it was open after the Covid 19 restrictions.
I had a typical Italian meal, spaghetti Bolognese and tirimasu. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the ambience wonderful.
I have been going to Di Palmas for around 8 years now and have never been disappointed with any aspect of my dining experiences there.
Angie the manager is a very warm and engaging person and does a sensational job coordinating the staff and the service.

We would typically dine in at Di Palma's and have always enjoyed our experience. We ordered take away during the COVID-19 pandemic, the food continued to be exceptional, much like their service (they brought our meals out to meet us at our car). Happy to see such warmth during such a time. Wishing them the best and looking forward to dining in again soon. #SupportLocal

Ordered takeaway on Saturday night and it was fantastic. My wife had the fish stew and I had the gnocchi, which is our usual selection when we dine in and it was just as great as always. Definitely a good option for takeaway, especially in these times!

Great Italian food. Service is good but a little slow. We were there for a family birthday so a big group but they struggled to get everything right & out at the same time. Still really good food makes it worth it.

Good. Not outstanding. Steady and reliable might be closer to the mark. Good strong flavours - perhaps leaning a little to the heavy side and needing more freshness. Veal dish was generous in size - but the sauce was too thick and detracted from the ingredients used.

Love this restaurant, have been coming here for years and years. Great selection on the menu and the food is always cooked to perfection.
