Delatite Wines reviews
65Great service and nice atmosphere. We tried the $10 pp wine tasting and had a good selection of wine. Overall good experience.
Went to the Delatite Winery on January 2 2023.
The facility was amazing.
The staff were lovely and we were treated to great food and delicious wine.
The scenery of the mountains and vineyard are beautiful.
I would highly recommend.
Degustation at $95 per person was well worth! Prepared with good quality local produce. The ravioli and stirloin steak was outstanding. Amazing restaurant with outstanding view and architecture!
5 Star location.
5 Star welcome
Great wines and great food.
Worth the 2800km trip!
What a Fantastic Winery! Food, Wine, Staff and ambience. Amazing!
Can't wait to go back. Thanks for the amazing afternoon.
One of the best meals I have ever had. Quality is exceptional. Service was faultless. Awesome!
While the sign on the door says 'cellar door' they decidedy do not have a cellar door.it is a nice looking restaurant, but who wants to do a wine tasting (that you have to book in for) with table loads of people at your back eating their lunch.the old cellar door was much better.
Very good wine tasting experience. Many varieties to try and purchase if desired. Cellar door with a great view and good people running it
Visited Delatite Winery on a sunny Wednesday afternoon for lunch. An impromptu stop on the way back to Melbourne City from Mt. Buller
Ordered the focaccia served with dukkah which was extremely appetising, the falafels had a good texture and was yummy.
The pork knuckle was extremely delicious, served with super fresh and crunchy lettuce and a mouth watering sesame sauce.
The brussel sprouts was a table favourite, so flavourful with a nicely sweet char-like taste.
The autumn salad was the most appetising salad i’ve ever had. The pecan dressing was amazing mixed with whipped blue cheese for a creamy and tangy taste. Wish the sweet potatoes were more roasted/cooked as it was a little bit hard.
Was too full to have dessert but my family and I had an amazing time being served by Janet throughout our dining experience. Very accommodating and warm staff.
Highly recommend having food with a glass of their Pinot Gris.
Side note: The buildings architecture is gorgeous! Love the greyish woody vibe. Super scenic view of the mountains
I was looking forward to spending my birthday lunch at Delitite. We had booked a table inside but our pram would have blocked staff from moving around easily so we were shown to an outside table. A little different to the comfortable dinning experience I was hoping for. Sitting outside in the heat on bench seats instead of air conditioned comfort. The woman that showed us outside seemed to be in a senior position but could not have appeared more brash and annoyed to accommodate us. The outside menu was very basic with no main meals available and it left us underwhelmed.
The view is beautiful and the waitress was accommodating but I left feeling very deflated with the experience.
Yummy cheese platters & delicious wines. Spectacular views. Modern, impressive architecture & service with talent
Amazing wine tasting experience. Every wine was exceptional and the staff were so accommodating to our needs
We were taken by our friends last Friday week, it was perfect weather so we sat on the deck outside. What a beautiful venue
We shared the smoked trout plate
& the recommended Estate Reisling, delicious! The waitress was very helpful & bubbly
Would definitely recommend
A beautiful new building with great views.
We had a table on terrace which had very little choice of food. The Buxton trout platter very disappointing. A very small piece of trout, a couple of lettuce leaves, 2 small smashed potatoes and a few other bits. The presentation and the quantity very disappointing for $50.00.
While I’m a big fan of dog friendly venues the dog at table next to us barked the entire time we were there. We could barely hear ourselves speak. Owners totally unaware. Perhaps staff could mention to owner that not everyone wants to sit with a dog that continually barks.
Without a doubt the best cellar door we have been to.
Great wine, food and excellent staff.
Pork Knuckle lunch
Absolutely incredible food, amazing service, spectacular location - if you are in the High Country you MUST visit!
Disappointing visit to Delatite Winery. After opting for the $70/person Chef Selection for 6 people, it was very disappointing to receive 4 pieces of chicken and 4 cobs of corn to split between 6. When we asked staff for additional chicken and corn to feed the other 2 guests, we were advised that we would incur an additional cost. To add salt to the wound, the table of 4 next to us, who had also opted for the Chef’s Selection, were given the same amount of food, even though we paid an additional $140. It ruined an otherwise very pleasant visit to the winery.
Incredibly beautiful vineyard! The wine tasting was great and the server who took us through the tasting was amazing, her knowledge and customer service made the experience great!
Popped in at an odd time for a light meal and was met with very accommodating staff. The place is quite nice with expansive views and beautiful architecture. Food was well presented however not quite to my taste. Certainly more palatable to those who favor western cuisine.
Retuning for our second visit after several years. Wow were we surprised. These guys have lifted the bar sky high.
The wines were a 9/10.
The food was off the chart.
(How do you make that Gnocchi?)
The new building is stunning.
Our hosts were delightful.
Thanks for a wonderfull afternoon team.
