This place is dying of not dead already. The shelves look like there has been a zombie apocalypse and it's been looted, this effect is added to by the absolute lack of mobile reception, you can't get a signal as soon as you step inside.
The staff are non existent, I actually think no one works here, if you happen to find something you want to buy and wipe the dust off it, good luck paying for it. I could not find a register open so I left.
Terrible store for the DJ brand great dystopian future escape room - worth checking out for the nostalgia.

I can’t express how happy I am with the service I got from two staff members Nikki and roya they helped me find the perfect fragrance I was looking for and roya has such a nice personality and she would always be smiling. They have such a great teamwork and communication I’m gonna so recommend my friends to buy from here

A very large, very spacious shopping center that has everything. You will not return home without being loaded with stuff. It has Keymart, Wally's, Coles, and many others. There is a wonderful vegetable market with vegetables and fruits. There is also a maker of house and car keys. He has keys made at a price of ten dollars each.

I recently called into the politix section of the David jones store. I was greeted and professionally helped by Lochlin, he was smart in his attire, very helpful and a pleasure to deal with, carry on the good work Sir. An asset you don’t find very often.

I had the displeasure of dealing with a manager at David Jones Highpoint yesterday who refused to provide any assistance what so ever.
Since my last 3 poor customer experiences at David Jones Bourke St, I have not bought anything from David Jones.
A few weeks ago my daughter told me her school shoes had holes on the heals. These shoes were nearly $140 so one would expect them to last a whole school year.
Clarks warranty policy states if there are any faults with the outer soles consumers can exchange them within 12 months of purchase.
I called David Jones and was told to bring them back at any David Jones store for the shoes to be assessed and if there's a fault they can be exchanged. I told them that I didn't keep the receipt as I bought the shoes months ago. The lady on the phone said it was fine as I'm a DJ member they can see my purchase records.
I left the shoes in the car as I didn't want to carry them around whilst shopping.
When I explained to the manager what happened her response was, it's wear and tear WITHOUT even seeing the shoes.
She also said as per policy she cannot exchange the shoes as I didn't have a receipt. I have my credit card statements to show the purchase transaction and they can see from their records of my purchase as I'm a member. I kept the box showing where it was from and the price paid. She basically refused to assist saying it's their policy and told me they don't keep records of transactions.
As a manager she has discretions to make exceptions for different circumstances, but she just flat out refused to assist which I found her attitude to be disgusting.
My experience with Myer was the total opposite.
When my coffee plunger broke, I called up their help centre as it was still under warranty, they sent out a replacement coffee plunger to me without me even requiring to visit one of their stores.
When I was in line earlier yesterday, one of their customers wanted to exchange some clothes which were birthday gifts which they did not have a receipt and Myer allowed them to exchange these items.
This is the kind of customer service we expect from a large department store.
David Jones NEEDS to learn from Myer in order to IMPROVE their customer service.
I no longer support David Jones and will never buy anything from them again.
David Jones, you have provided me with service I can remember, BUT NOT in a good way.

Rude middle aged lady with pink shirt and shoulder length blonde hair at MAC working on 16th October between 2-5pm. We didn't want to shop there after we felt unwelcomed. We were only there for 2 minutes looking at some lipsticks (didnt even take any off the shelf). She spoke to us and made us feel were going to steal something. Awful service.

DJ Highpoint has massively reduced footprint and in turn reduced extended sizing across their brands in store (with exception of Estelle which had a few rare 18-22 across a couple of racks).
Also some unhelpful staff who really didn't care. Sad to see.

Purchased Sheridan products (linen sheet) $299 September 2020, sheet has completely fallen apart due to poor manufacturing. David Jones refuse to warranty the item. Avoid Sheridan and David Jones. There are higher quality products available for cheaper, which do not fail, and better places to buy quality, rather than the absolute trash David Jones sell. Special mention to Jesse (David Jones Manager) for a rude and condescending attitude. I expect far better.

I came into the store yesterday looking for a candle and the lady named Kally who served me was amazing! I asked her whether they stocked this specific brand and even though she was in a completely different department she still went above and beyond for me. She was very eager to help me out and even went to the extent to try and get the item delivered to my house, but unfortunately they did not have it in stock. It is very rare especially in these busy times (and such a big store) to find customer service like that. Thank you!

Elena is terrible! So much for “the customer is always right. ” The way she talks to both staff and customers is absolutely appalling! She should not even have a job, let alone a managing position. Gives such a terrible name to David Jones and the retail experience as a whole. Not only did she accuse us of changing a full price item to a sale item, but she also treated us with absolute disrespect. I will definitely not be returning and her position should be demoted! Such a terrible experience.

I had a problem with Le Creuset faulty saucepans. The team member from kitchenware and Manager from David Jones at Highpoint went out of their way to help me with faulty Le Creuset pans. Something Le Creuset would not do themselves. This store has restored my faith in retail department stores. They care about great customer service. Well done, extremely happy with outcome provided by David Jones.
No thanks to Le Creuset

The close the toilets for cleaning. It took almost an hour for them to be done. A smart person would close 1 toilet (ladies/gents) and the other when the first is done. It's just annoying when u have kids and are waiting that long. Come on guys u can be smarter than that.

Might just be me but it feels like no one is employed or trained in customer service or retail. You can call over workers for help with something and they're lifeless and seem more like the store is a huge funeral parlour. I actually had to use my own customer service skills to aid an older gent who was needing help as well.

We went there to buy suits for me and my groomsmen last Sunday morning. However no one looked after us. Staff members were so busy with chatting to each other especially a sales man who was standing alone there like a statue, he didn't even bother to say hi. Highly NOT recommended

Click and collect is a joke. After 1 business day I didn't receive a collection email even though should have been available if placed on same day before 1pm.

Went and they told me the order isn't ready I went to the shelf to pickup item and took it there (I basically did their job for them). They said no sorry I need to get refunded for the click and collect and pay again.

I asked them what time will it be ready they told me not until end of day. I ended up getting into my car and going home. Got home and got an email it was ready to collect 30 min later.

What a pain and a hassle. Second pick and collect order I have had and both bad experiences.

Never again.

Oh and the person I had to talk to was on a coffee break for 15 mins and I had to wait on the sofas like a fool waiting for her to finish her coffee run.

Standard David Jones. I was in the homewares section & a young lady was very helpful even though we couldn't find precisely what I was after.

Seems even DJ's are not learning from Myers mistakes in poor attitude to customers. As a card holder I am starting to become disappointed in bricks and mortar stores. Staff do you not realise you are putting your jobs on the line by providing poor service
