Dargo Hotel

We had lunch on Friday and it was the worst two meals we have had served to us in seven years of travelling so overcooked and burnt the toppings were mundane nothing like the meals we had a few weeks ago absolute waste of $60.00

From the outside, it looked like a half decent pub. But once you step foot in it, it is not. The workers are all racist. My friends did not get served ONCE the whole night and were looked down on and frowned upon. Very nasty people. Not welcoming and definitely not a diverse community. Very pathetic and disgusting. Definitely not going back. 0/10

Great pub, friendly staff and locals! Felt welcome and service was great even durkng happy hour! BBQ parmi was one of the best parmis I have ever had!

Good old fashioned pub. Have a parma - no seriously, have a parma. Cold beer and good food with good scenery, what more do you want?

What a great pub! The atmosphere is amazing, and the food great. Its a treat to find such an authentic experience.

Great little pub with great food. Most of the staff were great. Good camping out the back for $10 per night.

We arrived and was greeted at the bar as if we were an annoyance. The pub was quiet as it was a Sunday late afternoon. I asked to camp for one night and ol fella literally threw the book down at me and said here fill this in then threw down the eftpos machine. The lady at the bar also had a not so welcoming attitude. Sarcastic like.
I have been there before and never been greeted like that. Maybe they were both arguing before hand and took it out on us. Apart from rude arrogant owners it is a fantastic pub.

We have enjoyed several functions and stays at the Dargo Hotel and have not been disappointed. 80th birthday dig last Sunday with great food and facilities.

Great staff, but have to say honestly I wasn't impressed with the feed I had (parma) wasn't anywhere near as good as under the old management.and for a premium price now $30 ‍️

Heard alot about this place from those two gorgeous little men off Better homes and gardens.

That's why the boys from the jeep club and I stopped in after a full day of jeep selfies and getting stuck on a log and getting jacked off.
Great food, bit dissapointed they didn't have the rosé that I adore.
Tried to stay a night but we had 3 jeeps and six blokes and they wouldn't let us all sleep in a double bed.

One of my favourite stops in the middle of nowhere. Looking very beautiful and quiet new years day. Will be back on later on.

Booked a Log Cabin. When we arrived, we were told (a lie) that we had actually booked a Motel Room, despite seeing our name crossed out in the book next to the Log Cabin.

The Motel units are dated and extremely over-priced for what they are. If we'd known we would get shafted on the Log Cabin, we would have kept driving to the next town.

A real shame!

Had the lamb shanks and the hubby got the bolganase parma, both were delicious with some really good chips too!

Always a pleasure. Camping out the back still good, $10 per night $50 deposit for key Could do with a separate toilet to the shower
Hotel is always warm, sometimes a bit too warm
Beers always cold. Takeaways are the same price as in town so don’t bring it in just grab it from there. Support the locals Bottle of Rum $55
We always get a Parma it’s in Australian not to when at a Country Pub Massive thing and always tasty. Backed up with lovely service from the ladies?
Don’t just a get a photo out the front. Go in say G’day. The owners are lovely people and it shine threw to their staff. Will continue to bring people to this iconic Pub

Simply the most. Perfect little country pub in Victoria, laughs a plenty and a great team that make your stay memorable and you leave making arrangement to return asap

Great atmosphere, good tucker, friendly, must visit. Also General Store across road worth spending some dollars

Dargo is the best base camp to the high country for on the way up and down….
The camp grounds are fantastic
Most of the staff are awesome and have that real country spirit about them

A couple seem as though they hate every minute of their job but I’m empathetic as we always have those days so certainly ain’t judging
