No service after the contract was signed. Had to keep chasing them up to see when our new Santa Fe is arriving. They don’t know how to call a customer.
First was told mid March then I rang at the beginning of March and was told 6 weeks which would be mid April. I rang this week and now told ship due too arrive 13 may. I rang other dealership to get the correct information as we can’t trust them.
They couldn’t tell we the docking date changed to may 13th as they don’t check it regularly. Never again

Josh was great, let us drive the car, left us alone when we wanted and was there with any questions and wasn't pushy.
That is the experience that I want.

Very friendly, but I asked for two problems to be fixed during the service. Only one was completed. Service guy tried to fix it when I was about to leave, played with it for 15 minutes but no joy, said to ring and book it in. Not happy Jan!

Posting to say thank you to Matt and his team at Dandenong Hyundai Service department. Bought a brand new car from them 3 years ago and every time I take my car for yearly service, they have always been fair, honest, and friendly.

Also recently my car made a rolling/rattle noise, apparently something fell very deep underneath the car seating rails (very hard to access it myself) and Matt and his team were able to locate the problem and fixed it for me without charge!

Overall, top customer service after sale experience for me, I'm extremely happy that I went with them to buy my new car. Highly recommended!

Quick summary of why 2 stars

- Did not do what was requested in the service
- Lied to me when I asked if they had done the extra requested services
- Did not use paper floor mats to protect the new carpets in the car
- Did not use plastic or paper car seat protectors on the leather seats
- but they get 2 stars and not 1 as up to the point of bringing the car in for a service, they were nice and efficient in emails and on the phone.

Detailed feedback

I spent a month dealing with Hyundai about rusty tailgate gas strut brackets, how within 2 years they had changed from there original black e-coating to all 4 rusting the same way, like they had a defective coating.

I originally contacted Ferntree Gully Hyundai but they did not want to have anything to do with it.

So I contacted Dandenong Hyundai and like i said above, they were quick and efficient to help me in emails & on the phone, giving me a good feeling they would resolve this issue.

But one of the requests I made of Both Hyundai Australia and then to their dealership, was if they could have a quick look through the car, under the car and in the engine bay for more defective rusty brackets.

Because if all 4 brackets failed the same way on the tailgate, there is a good chance other brackets failed also.

As stated above, when originally contacted they said "no problem we will do that" but after waiting 3 weeks for them to order in 4 replacement brackets, I went in and when I met the guy at the service desk he said "replacing 4 brackets, no problem" and I said "also looking for more rusty brackets throughout the car as discussed" and he then had to hand write that request on the service document like it was not going to be done.

When they brought my car out, I knew they had not looked for other rusty brackets as they never looked in the engine bay or had the car up on the car hoist.i asked them did you look in the engine bay for more rusty brackets, and the look he gave me and the long pause was a dead give away he had no idea what i was talking about.

He opened up the hood and said show me whats wrong.which says he never looked or he would either know there was nothing wrong ro know there were more rusty brackets.

So like i said they did not car about my cars interior by protecting the carpets or leather seats from their dirty car mechanics uniforms and boots and they lied to me.

10/10 Service and customer care.
They were very happy to answer any of my questions (As silly as they may have been) and went through everything on the list they needed to attend. Added attention to detail was fixing a small buncher in one of my tires and a quick wheel balance only on a confirmation phone call to me (The owner) before fixing. Price for added details was beyond my expectations. Well done Dandenong Hyundai Team 11/10

My experience at Dandenong Hyundai with Dale and team was exceptional. Dale is knowledgeable and attentive. He accurately assessed my requirements based on the information I provided and made well considered and excellent recommendations. The high level of customer service provided exceeded all expectations.
I have purchased cars from a variety of dealerships in the past but have never been inspired to recommend, or even return, until now. I highly recommend a visit to this dealership if you are looking for a new or used car.

Recently had the pleasure to purchase a hyundai sante fe from Dale at dandenong Hyundai and we came away with not only a great product, but we got a great deal and fabulous follow up service for the next 5 years. No headaches about putting the car in for a service and not knowing the price as the scheduled fee price list takes all the worry away. Dale was truely customer focused and at no stage did we feel intimidated.thank you very much Dandenong hyundai and thank you Dale for allowing us all the time we needed to get the best product we could find and now our retirement really starts.
