Dainty Sichuan Hot Pot - CBD reviews
61The food is alright, but they charged me $8 for beverages when I did not order any. Absolutely unbelievable. I recommend going to Panda hot pot instead, lower prices there and better food too.
Lovely decor and would be good for a special occasion. Staff were a bit hands off, only interacted to collect order sheet and deliver food. Overall I did not find it much different to other hotpot chains, however more expensive than competitors. Beware of hidden charges and there was an advertised 10% Sunday surcharge. Soups range from $15-20 each then there is an additional $4 for sauce not advertised. We ordered soft drinks without being shown a drinks menu and ended up paying $7.50 for Coca cola.
BEWARE the service is ATROCIOUS. They take advantage of people and charge them extra whenever they can get away with it! It’s common courtesy to be honest and respectful to your guests, how could you think of scamming them when their bill is already over $100? ! Absolutely horrifying to think how many other guests they’ve scammed. We did not order any beverages yet they dared charge us a beverage fee. Greedy, dishonest and appalling. Shame on you JIA.
The prices are too high, and the quality of the dishes is very average, especially the set meals. There is very little meat inside, and it is filled with inexpensive side ingredients. The taste is very ordinary. I will never patronize this place again. Street food stalls in China make better-tasting food than this restaurant.
Worse experience I've ever had. I've never been talked to more rudely by staff. Walked out without ordering.
Great food quality with excellent environments. Good option for friends gathering and family union.
The menu is substantial and varied, Very clean and delicious, Great atmosphere, Good service
Wasn't worth the money, after reading the other review on under paid work, I feel disgusted
We went into this place as a group of university students, we were sat down very rudely. The manager who wore suspenders, had glasses was walking around always looking at us and we could hear him tell other staff to watch us carefully as we might've "ran off" without paying. Service was slow and they almost forgot our drinks, food was overpriced and we were charged for dips? What hotpot places charges for dipping sauce? AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS
This place has a very bad manager, service was decent but the manager ruined the whole mood. Food was okay but overpriced and in general I would avoid this place.
This place is so bad, the staff do not care about you, they give you little to no respect, the food is heavily overpriced and would not recommend this hotpot place to anyone.
Nice spot for hot pot - lots of choices for soup bases and ingredients. The syrup rice cakes where a highlight for us
Hella expensive but I can't deny the sauce/dipping station is a sight to behold. During it's early days it was crazy good value.
Abalone soup was good
Ingredients for making individual sauce was tasty
Meat was fresh
Would come back to try other soup flavors
Hella expensive but I can't deny the sauce/dipping station is a sight to behold. During it's early days it was crazy good value.
Very helpful staff explained everything. Prices were reasonable for an inner city restaurant. Huge menu
A good place for single hotpot. The side dishes are really delicious and I chose the chicken soup base. They also have so many options for spicy soup base, while I like the spicy chicken the most.
Dodgy - underpaid staff. Food rank and overpriced. Plenty of money to go to the CCP. Pure evil
Underpaid staff but were able to pay political parties. If you eat here you have no morals. From the Judge:
media reports there is mention of a contribution of $80,000 made by the Dainty Sichuan Group to a political campaign. While the contribution was said to be a smaller amount, it demonstrates that this conduct was not due to lack of funds: employees were being underpaid while contributions were being made to a political campaign.

Everyone gets their own pot.
Prices are as expected, ~$50 per person.
Unfortunately the table next had unruly kids who kept running around our table.
Also difficult to get hold of waiter, only managed to order drinks an hour later
