Cunningham Irish Inn reviews
56I don't normally leave reviews but Cunningham's deserve it. We were there for Father's day and were pleasantly surprised as to how great it was. Amazing food (everyone's meals were delicious), great value for money and the staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and they were so attentive. Loved our experience here and will definitely be back.
Awesome pub with the atmosphere of a good old country pub. We had a club lunch here which was enjoyed by all. The owner, Peter, was flexible with our booking and great to deal with. The open fire place also added a little more charm.
First time visit for us but it won't be the last. High standard of service. Staff wonderful and the food to die for.
Great meal and great service. The owners are really lovely and know their business well. The parmi menu was fantastic. So glad we stopped here for lunch on way through to Warburton.
Went there with 3 other people for tea, well what can i say, except that i will never set foot in that place again, new owners, but the food is as terrible as before, the worst corned beef i have ever been served, it looked blue and purple, was disgusting, the other meals were just as horrible, never again, waste of money.
Great range of parma's pizza and other meals. Nice beer garden out the front on a sunny day, very good bar and table service.
We wanted to support a local business and stopped in for lunch. The staff were lovely and the food was OK but sitting outside was awful, unless you're a smoker then it's heaven! Trying to enjoy your meal while people were non stop smoking and vaping isn't pleasant at all. I thought it was a health department ruling that people can't smoke (or vape) in an outdoor eating area but I guess not. The smokers were all on the deck but there were so many of them that the smoke and vape was impossible to avoid.
To walk inside for a drink, or the loo, meant walking through thick smoke - quite revolting. Sadly I wouldn't recommend this place at all, unless you're a smoker and if so, this is the place for you. For a nice relaxing meal outside it's not recommended at all. The deck is right next to the eating area so it's not really a smoke free eating area at all so I'm not sure how that gets around the Health Department regulations when it comes to not smoking in an eating area.
The coffee was a 5/10 - quite watery and not much coffee flavour to it but the chips and salad were nice. The chicken parma was OK, nothing special but not awful either. My partner got the nachos which had cold tomato puree stuff just poured onto the corn chips. It would have been nicer if the "salsa" sauce had been heated up which wouldn't have been too hard to do and would have made a big difference to the meal.
Sorry I couldn't write a nicer review. The staff were friendly and service was good, but the smokers in the outdoor eating area completely spoilt our visit. We won't be back and we sadly wouldn't recommend the place either.
Went in for mothers day lunch. Staff very friendly and helpful, wheel chair axcess is available but could be improved.meal was great and affordable overall a lovely time at the hotel more than happy to return for a meal.
I live in Warburton and have only been to this pub once before, but I decided to stop off at the last minute on Tuesday after work. I was greeted by owner Rhonda who was very welcoming and seated me in the quaint dining room with lovely open fire. Rhonda was helpful in regards to what I could choose from the menu (I'm vegan). I opted for the Baked Spud with Brazilian Slaw ($16) as recommended. Normally ($28) as served with Brisket and sour cream. It was yummo. A hearty, filling meal for a cold winter's night. Along with my piccolo of bubbles, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, so much so I stopped off again on Thursday night, this time choosing the Vegetable Parma (without cheese) ($24). It is crumbed eggplant with sweet potato, zucchini, capsicum and napoli sauce, served with chips and salad. Once again I enjoyed this hearty, filling meal on another cold night. Sorry, no photo of the baked spud. Jack and all the staff were lovely too
Food wasn't great not worth the money. It's definitely not like it used to be won't be coming back after our last visit.
Love seeing familiar faces there service has always been nice and friendly food has been excellent in the past, since new owners it doesn't seem as relaxed which we liked the relaxed environment but still very good food
Had a lovely lunch with our ladies club. Service was excellent, food delicious. Could not fault the quality
Really lovely place, especially on the front lawn on a hot evening. Dogs welcomed. Food is basic pub food and really well done. Down to earth, pleasant staff. A great experience.
Proper country pub. Cold beer and good people. Didn't try the food but the plates going by made me regret it!
New owners who are absolutely lovely and have great plans for further improvements! Lovely atmosphere and food is high quality. Service was slow the night we came due to staff sickness but the owner was amazing in talking to us and will not deter us going back again!
A place to call a home. A down to earth, family-owned and no frill Aussie restaurant. Come here to be served with touch Aussie friendliness and country welcome. I’m non-white Aussie. Yet the staff in this country hotel pub treat me as their own family. You can’t get that this feel at Melbourne City hotel pubs.
In addition, they are very gay friendly hotel pub. My partner ordered veggie parmigiana and I ordered calamari with salad and chips. They are delivered with pride and taste. No complaints of whatever. We both enjoyed it to the core.
I highly recommend this country pub meal to anyone travelling up to Yarra Junction. Don’t forget to try their parmigiana and their local Victorian accent.
The food is great.
Live bands on the front deck Sunday arvos.
Big outdoor beer garden.
Nothing against the new owners but I think you have the chef from hell. Regardless of the good food we had, we were subjected to listening to the disgusting language of t he chef not to mention why the anger came about.
The waitresses must be so on edge there just to try and relay a simple question from a customer to the chef too just get berated at with no respect. I highly recommend while having a chef like that to eliminate the seating area near the kitchen. It's just not a good experience.
The new owners are amazing and I can see the action that was taken was all that could be done at the time.
I just hope they give the opportunity to someone that deserves it that can cook quality food and respect others.
Great atmosphere, olde pub style, terrific food, beer, guiness and live music, yes live!
Smokestack Lightning, blues rock, top outfit.
The spot to chill out.
Awesome food, awesome service, awesome location. Easily the best place in the Yarra valley to grab a bite and a cold one.
