Courtyard by Marriott Melbourne Flagstaff Gardens reviews
36A modern and new hotel in a quiet location on the edge of Melb CBD. The rooms are immaculate and cleverly designed with a comfy bed and lounge and great lighting in the bedroom and bathroom. Wall mounted TV has a really clever swivel so you can move it in the direction that suits. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a good range. Walk of a few minutes gets you to the free tram route. Was great to not have to drive into the city to get to the hotel - we opted for onsite parking under the hotel. Wish we had a longer stay and will be back for future Melb visits. Highly recommend.
My family stayed in this hotel in July 2022 and we really enjoy our stay. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and modern looking lobby and room interior, spacious and cozy rooms with really nice shower.
The hotel has very quite surroundings, so if you like quite, this is the hotel for you. The location is around 500 meters away from Flagstaff Station, and also very near to 2 free tram zone stops. Flagstaff Garden is just 5 minute walk, where you can cross to reach Queen Victoria Market and restaurants.
During our stay and due to COVID situation, only in-room dining is available until 9 p.m. There is also a cafe next to the lobby for light meals.
Wifi is free and works very well.
Clean and comfortable! Loved our stay. Would definitely stay again. No problem with allergies. Lots of metered parking spots on the street. 2P 7: 30am-6: 30pm.
Do not recommend if you want quiet enjoyable
getaway
Woken up every morning at 7am by power drills
outside my window. I couldn't even keep the curtains
open because I constantly had a
construction worker going past and had no privacy.
The worst bit of all is that the hotel KNEW THIS AND
DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING! Not when I booked, not
when I checked in and not when I specifically
requested a quiet room.
Also the check in process it was nightmare I have arrived exhausted from long flight at night the outdoor was locked we waited with little girl 10 minutes outside freezing until the reception guy open the door the check in process was extremely slow. Also no one help us with our luggage
Pleasent enough but quite noisy. Our room was directly above the fire station on only 3rd floor and there were multiple sirens over night.
You can also hear any plumbing action for any room even remotely near, showers, taps, toilet flushes. Every single thing. The room soundproofing must be ok between the rest if the room, bur the water noises are so loud it my as well be in your room.
Lots of construction opposite too. Unsure if other rooms facing elsewhere/higher would have been less affected.
Staff were nice and friendly, room had everything needed for a short stay, however our shower gel was empty so we had no body wash which was disappointing. I'm sure if we'd let the staff know they would have filled it but we were only staying one night.
Beds were comfy and room feel/temp was very comfortable, good block out blinds, shower with ledge/seat was nice too.
Overall soundproofing/location issues let it down.
Incredible service from all areas of the hotel. From reception to cleaning, everyone was friendly, courteous and professional. In times where great service is hard to come by, this hotel truly delivered.
Lovely accommodation and very comfortable stay. Room was bigger than expected with a separate "living" area to the bed area. Location is a little further out from the centre of CBD than some other hotels but only a short 5-10 mins away. Tram stop (on Latrobe St) only about 3 mins walk away.
One of the best experiences during my 1 night trip in Melbourne.
All brand new, staffs are really kind & welcomed, really clean room and quiet place around. Fire office is located next to the hotel i feel it is more safe from any of dangers.
Great value for a family. Highly recommend to everyone.
Tiny bit away from the action, but soooo comfortable. Made use of the coffee shop which served the most delicious snacks.dips and sourdough toast.chips with dipping sauce.luscious wine. Very nice
Cool spacious room, comfy bed and good views. Great location next to the Flagstaff Gardens and short walk to the Southern Cross Station. Two minutes walk to the tram which is in the free tram zone. Nice little coffee lounge on the ground floor with good coffee and friendly staff.
Great place to stay. Got an upgrade on my room. Rooms are new and clean. Very practical, functional and comfortable.
Family of 5 with adjoining rooms. Very clean, comfortable stay, spacious rooms, conveniently located. Modern hotel design. Excellent service from staff. Get the breakfast at the hotel - totally worth it. Grace attended to our check in and getting us settled and was most helpful.
A lovely boutique zen style hotel just off Melbourne CBD. Great for a short get away and if you are taking a ride share or driving. I love the design as it’s very muted and zen with lots of brown, stone and green. Large framed posters cover the main lobby, hallway, and bedroom for something to look at. The rooms are small but somehow they managed to fit in a full size sofa and a proper dining table which ended up to be very useful. There isn’t much food or shopping choices around but it’s certainly more peaceful than being in the busy town area.
Beautifully and cleverly designed, spacious rooms with everything you need - comfy king size bed, lounge chair, dining table, coffee, tea, lovely bathroom.
Breakfast was amazing. Staff were friendly and beyond helpful on everything we asked of them.
Location is also great - it’s a short walk to Queen Victoria Markets, and the free tram line into Melbourne Central is nearby. Southern Cross station isn’t far.
There is an alarm that has been on for a week in the car park at this hotel. Disturbing all of the neighbours constantly. No one there to get help due to Covid.
This incessant alarm deprives my sovereignty of reason and is drawing me into madness.
A horrible building with horrible signage.
