Went for a nice quiet pizza & wine. Pizza was lovely as usual. Had the Mexican and it delivered on flavour. Great afternoon. Recommend.

Ride the Skipton rail trail and pull in for a very pleasant lunch at the CHH. Friendly service, warm fire and tasty food. I had the mushroom risotto, which was made with shitakke mushrooms, which took it to the next level: risotto al dente and creamy.

Great atmosphere, attentive staff who were friendly and chatty. Food was very good, large menu with heaps of items we wanted to choose from. Fair prices. Even has ginger beer on tap as well as interesting beers on tap. Guiness as well

Delicious steak and mash. The only fault I could find was that maybe the veggies could have been more than just a few steamed ones.

First time coming- firstly I ordered a lemon lime and bitters and one of the lads put soda water instead of lemonade, I didn’t make a fuss of it then proceeded to order a coke.

Ordered entree calamari to come out first with my chicken Parma for main. Both came out same time. Took about 20 minutes for it to arrive.

Also dead fly’s/wasp on window sealings that need a clean.

The pub looks nice and friendly.

Terrible slow service did not have pork salmon or vege lasagna as ordered flathead was dry and no salad steak was very ordinary not served with roast Vegas requested we do not recommend this pub especially on a Wednesday

Great pub food and service. Nice location and plenty of room for the kids to run around in the play area. Well priced meals and good quality food.

I came here with a friend and ordered the meat lovers wood fire pizza, and it has got to be the best pizza I have ever had. I highly recommend ordering it!

Stopped in for a few pints and some pool. Table is in bad condition but is free so thats a bonus

A warm welcome as soon as we walked in the door girl was lovely friendly and food was great worth the 20 minute drive for a great night and great meals keep up the good work

The Courthouse Hotel in Smythesdale is a great stop for a beautiful counter meal. They served all our 10 meals together and everyone said how delicious the meals were. I had the Pork Ribs which were sensational, hanging over the plate the meat fell off the bone. I would definitely have them again when we are in the area. Thank you

Fantastic country pub with really great service, a very decent menu selection, great atmosphere and very tasty meals. Nice little play area out back for the kids. Better than heaps of city pubs.

Probably the best local pub in the area. The food is a generous serve. The staff fantastic to deal with, and the wait time next to nothing considering how busy they were.

Excellent country pub. Delicious food. Great pizzas with fantastic crust. Really decent and friendly service and meals at good prices. Small outdoor play area with some equipment for the kids.
I probably shouldn't say this, but they refused my tip, even though thoroughly deserved (we were on the bistro section). What an awesome gesture! Small pool table for over-13s. Definitely go.
