Country Road

Very poor customer service from store manager Kate, will not buy from Country Road again.

Purchased Fairisle Zip Through Knit on 24/06/19 for $169 less 25% on promo and returned to the store on 19/08/19 for replacement as the pockets were coming apart. Staff said they will call me when the replacement comes in.

Arrived at the store on 21/08/19 wearing the jumper with the faulty pockets and staff member Helen advised that jumper had to be dry cleaned before they can do replacement. I said that I wasn't told about this poilcy and that I shouldn't have to be out of pocket. She said either I can get a full refund or they can get the pocket repaired.

I asked for the manager and Kate approved the replacement. Helen then disposed of the faulty jumper in the rubbish. She then checked the replacement and saw that it too had loose stiching as well. She told me to go home and stitch it up. I walked out wearing the replacement and after 10 min walking the pocket on the new replacement also started to come apart.

Went back to the store to see Kate and told her that I can repair the new replacement jumper but I had lost confidence with the product by now.

Kate offered a refund but I said that I had nothing to wear as it was cold. At this point I suggested that I replace the Fairisle Zip Through Knit $169 with a Zip Through Stripe Knit for $129. She said that's fine we can replace like for like and honour the 25% discount that I had before, but at the check out she didn't give a refund for the $40 difference. I said that the two items are not equal in value, one is wool and then other is cotton. She said that she could not refund the difference. I was not happy and asked for a full refund.

I walked out into the cold and bought a $15 jumper from Big W down the road.

So for the sake of $40 Country Road would rather loose one customer and gain a negative review when it's their own quality control issues at play.

Great shopping experience today. Staff are helpful and not overbearing. Nice music and vibe. Found everything I wanted and more. Love the range and quality of knits.

Staff is groovy. Pretty average selection of clothing unless you're built like Ken from Barbie. Like do you even lift?

I lived at crn for over 10 yrs. See many big brand shop open and shut down. But this one still there, still busy. I belive they must have a very good management.
Cloth follow the season change all the time. Styles conservative but have their own character, good for all office style. Good quality, indoor designs feel very comfortable. Promotion come all the time, im sure when u there u always can find sometging you like.

Most import is price is affordable for average people.

Staff are always really friendly - however sometimes they are a little understaffed and you can be waiting a while to get served especially when other customers are processing afterpay/returns etc.

Store is beautifully merchandised.

Mainstream retailer who sort of copied Ralph Lauren in the 80s in terms of rtw and homewares. Conservative and part of the group which owns David Jones

Good sized store with a fairly decent range, although I couldn't find 2 shirts I was looking at on their website. The store has saved me in a couple of last minute wardrobe emergencies. Staff are very attentive

Alex in womensware was amazing! I had no idea what to get my girlfriend and she helped me out with everything! Ended up buying some stuff from mensware for myself as well.

Love this store, used to walk past it every day for work and had serious trouble not going in most of the time. Maddie was absolutely terrific in helping me out to buy a suit; this place ticks all my boxes

Terrific service from most of the staff nearly every time I visit this location-helpful and friendly. Store does tend to sell out of some sizes quickly!
