Now renamed “Bluefin Blairgowrie”.
Long wait for tasteless, dry, overcooked fish which was supposed to be grilled but was covered in some sort of light batter. Extremely limited choice of fish (only flake, snapper, barramundi) no salads and rice was ineatable (dry) - service was non existent. Lots of better options for fish and chips, will not be coming back!

Just changed hands and has a great deal of Japanese dishes as well as fantastic fish and chips. Beautiful light battered fish and very yummy potato cakes. Their sushi is do fresh you can see the chef slicing the big salmon making the sushi in front of you. Definitely worth a try v

The $7.00 medium box of chips gave a family of 4,12 chips each. We know as we had to share between 3 hungry children: (
The suggestion of Gluten Free is for items on the grill only, no GF batter used. Chips are cross contaminated. No GF buns for burgers. Very expensive.
On the positive, the Dims Sims and Spring Rolls were fantastic!

Not too greasy and while the wait is long it shows that they understand what volume they can cook at while maintaining quality. Worth the wait.

Waited 50 minutes for our food. Ontop of this, half the order was missing. Won't be back here again.

Overpriced. $18 for 2 pieces of fish and chips. The two pieces was 1 cut into 2 and was told “it shrunk” rip off. Don’t bother. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Very expensive for what it is.only fish and chip shop in blairgowrie so charge what they want and people have to pay it.reccomend going into rye where there are more options and don't pay through the roof

Ordered fish and chips, suppose to come with tomato sauce and tartare sauce and also there was no salt on my food. The quality was one star, not coming here again.

Went for fish and chips, which were great, with wonderful choice and discovered that new owners have a very wide selection of Japanese food as well. Will have to return! They will be renamed Bluefin Blairgowrie. Strongly recommend!

This used to be our favourite fish and chips. But has just changed hands and I would never order fish and chips from here again we actually threw it out. It tasted like they had not changed the oil. Shame! As a local i suggest to go to David PROSSER SEAFOODS

Good lord.they claim there's a 2 hour wait unless you order a 'fast-pack', the bloke at the till can't get his head around adding 2 potato cakes to the order and on top of this, the portions are tiny and overpriced. Not to be too harsh on an independent business but I genuinely don't think you guys should be running a fish and chip shop.

Worst experience. Wine was off (I'm a winemaker) told the owner and he looked at me said he just opened the bottle and then walk away. I left the wine with him and there was no follow up. He was Rude abrupt and particularly no interest in me as a customer. Just moved into area, never go back to this fish and chip shop. Cant trust that the food and wine is managed properly

This is my local go-to for fish n chips. I am closer to Rye shops but love the service and quality at Cornell's. Thanks guys for your consistently great service.

After waiting 57 minutes for a beef burger it came cold, the bun got soggy,
and the burger didn't have much flavour either. When the chips came it was a disaster they were soggy, they were those chips that you would never get again. I would prefer getting frozen chips and making a burger with frozen ingredients at home, it would taste better, be faster, and be far cheaper.

Great fish and chip shop, the fish was well cooked and moist and the wait isn't usually too bad unless it's the middle of summer and they're right across from the beach.

Great fish & chips as well as fresh & frozen gourmet fish products. Good selection - we often order ahead and it’s ready waiting for us.
They also have edamame beans. Yum.

Had a much better experience than others it seems! Great to see a fish and chip shop with fresh fish on the menu.

We had catch of the day (whiting) and chips and they were excellent. I also sadly tried the home made dim sim and couldn't finish it. Strange red salty meat that hadn't quite been cooked through. Can't fault the fish and chips though.

Mum and Dad went to collect fish and chips.
Placed an order for three fish. Came back
home and discovered only two fish. Phoned and was given an apology and told to come back and get fish. They turn up and are told that they weren’t charged for three fish and will have to pay. Incompetent, inconvenient and overpriced.
Can’t wait for Sorrento to open again.

Word of advice: Don't order at the counter. Call in and go about your day and then come pick it up when they call you.

They should prioritise customers sitting and waiting at the shop. No wonder why the business is showing a for sale sign. Kitchen staff comments are rude and can be heard from the waiting area. For context, this was a 40+ degree summers day so they must've been smashed.

Food update: potato cake had too much batter, dim sum was over salted, grilled fish was just okay (slightly dry) and despite being next to the beach, the calamari was not fresh. Paid over 50 bucks for the whole meal.

Again, this is probably okay if you don't sit at the place for over an hour and just come to pick it up.
