Commonfolk Frankston reviews
38 Awesome friendly service and great coffee!
I had the zucchini fritters with poached eggs absolutely amazing.
I would highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back.
This is my "Go to Place" whenever in the Frankston area. Friendly staff with quick service. Great coffee and awesome food. So good to know that your food is freshly cooked when you order it and not just plucked out of a Bain Marie. Compliments to the Chef.
Amazing food as always, however our service wasn't all the best. We weren't greeted when we sat down, We weren't given menus, however there was a QR code to look up menus on our phone but it didn't work. The staff were friendly when they did take our order just the service was a little poor and hardly any communication.
My son said the egg and bacon burger was the best he has ever had! My poached eggs were to die for! Extremely friendly and accommodating staff, with great prices too. Worth a drop in that’s for sure!
Really good avo on toast. They made it nice and fancy with asparagus and tomatoes! Iced coffee was nice but served in a plastic cup for sit in. Staff were friendly and all in all good chill vibes.
Don't be in a hurry, espresso take away 10 min wait, for the second time.
Roasts are solid, but service unorganized and would not stand in any rated cafe.
It's not just coffee you get here. The Sticky Chai Tea was awesome - organic leaf style in a small pot. Well worth visiting just for that. But then the food was great too)
One of our favourite cafes in Frankston. Thry have seasonal menu and locally source ingredients from the peninsula. Make sure to try any freshly baked muffins or lemon tarts they have you won't be disappointed. The also sell the Best vegan chai. The sell their own coffee and vegan chai which is consistently good. Not too sweet and usually order with oat milk.
OK we all know Commonfolk have the best coffee.
Now on Nepean Highway Frankston as well.try the Melbourne Magic
Staff can vary but are all nice
We had tapas at this place while visiting the Block Party in Thompson Lane alongside Commonfolk. We were surprised to hear that this was a trial of their Tapas menu - the food was of the quality expected from an established evening eaterie. For their first night, it was extremely good food. The Liver Parfait, toast and pickled cherries was my favourite, but our friends also raved about the corm croquettes. Well done Commonfolk Frankston! We love your coffee, now we love your tapas!
Coffee is always excellent and the cruffins are delicious.
Edit; Stil a pleasure coming here: ~)
Update Dec 21: they survived covid, still friendly, still fast service, still excellent food. Great they're still here.
Service was good and friendly. Had the Frankie burger which was a nice patty with some basic salad. Good taste. Came with thick cut cottage fries also great tasting buy the quality and cooking of the fries was a bit variable with some perfect and some a bit hard in the middle. At least you know they're real spuds that way. Overall a great experience. Back again and nice coffee again.
The place has changed owners and brand, used to be Old Mate Cafe, which we loved.
The new people are great, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good food.
We were not disappointed and will return.
Almond milk latte. Decaf or real, both are joyful to the palate and the the purpose of the journey.
Best coffee, locally roasted. Local cafe, and new outdoor dining! Super close for a beach walk
I only had a hot chocolate and it was nice so can't talk about the coffee, but what I do love is that you can purchase a pay it forward for someone less fortunate. Keep up the great work.
Amazing coffee! Milk was perfect and the ristretto was perfect! And bacon and egg sandwich was delicious and reseanonably priced! $3 for hasbrown and Avo is an amazing deal - will be back!
