Commonfolk Frankston reviews
38Definitely one of the best restaurants in Mt Eliza. Caters for everyone and has great specials on the weekends. Also good for a pint during the summer heat.
This was at the cafe at the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery. Two of the worst coffees I have had in about 50 countries.
Im working my way around all the coffee spots in Frankston and surrounds. Im well into double figures now and Commonfolk Frankston is the best ive been to.
Best coffee in town - to be expected from a gang who roast their own beans. Food is also good.
Due to the location it can be hard to find a free park nearby.
Love this place. We go here every week and the coffee is amazing.
They are always innervating and making new flavours.
Awesome food, awesome staff, girl with the brown hair and glasses is absolutely lovely. Could not reckoned enough
Was in the area for work for a week and stopped in here every morning for a coffee. Friendly staff and good service.
Friendly staff, great vibes, EXCELLENT coffee, and great food. Will be back. Ordered a simple meal today. There are other great options that I’m keen to try.
Serves various type of coffee from cuppocinno to handrip. Good service, reasonable price, great place to enjoy a cup of good coffee.
Ordered coffee in a quiet period, after 15 mins they hadn't even started it, left without coffee.
Food was nice. However, the service wasnt that great. Not too sure because of the Public holiday or smt, but service was slow, food took a long time to come. Lot of dirty tables.
Been here a few times and it's worth searching out. Staff are universally bright and friendly, coffee is top notch and the kitchen puts obvious care and attention into something as simple as a brekkie burger. It's a good place!
Cheerful service, great coffee.
My poached eggs were over done, not runny, but my son's were perfect! Will definitely go back!
I had a great experience at Commonfolk. I was greeted when I walked in by Bailey, he's as enthusiastic as myself about coffee and it shows in his service. I'll definitely be back this place and if you're from Frankston you should check it out. They have some great roasts and the cafe is a good little spot that's not too far from the bay trail. I was lucky enough to have incredible weather on my visit to Frankston and it really made the day. I ended up buying a bag of beans too because I just loved Bailey's enthusiasm for coffee. Commonfolk seem to be popular, they have four shops now I believe.
I've tried a variety of speciality coffee places, and Commonfolk beats the rest by a looooong way. The food is great too.
Lovely small Cafe.
Very friendly staff, noisy but great atmosphere. Great coffee of their own blend.
Wide range of food and they cater for just about everyone. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan. I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed, always fresh and freshly cooked. Don't take my word for it if your ever in the area, drop in and try for yourself.
I feel like this place isn't a match for me overall.
Pros: Coffee is ok. Food is ok to amazing.
Service is amazing
Cons: The music is loud and you can't have a conversation without yelling like at a night club. Not much seating and it almost feels like they need a bigger venue. Food is inconsistent.
I rate it 4 stars because you can tell they put a lot of effort and care into the cafe but there is room to improve.
Just when I was beginning to think that good coffee in Melbourne was a furphy I stumbled across this little gem.
The coffee was created by a top class barrister with almost zealot religious care and the roast is well blended and roasted.
The staff are attentive, friendly and the food is served fast and of a very high standard that is if you like the usual “Panini & Patisserie “ cafe type fare.
One negative as the shop is on the small side and fills fast during peak times their alfesco seating area needs a windbreak and preferably some heating due to the shops close proximity to the pier and beachfront.
I got one of the muffin with my coffe today only because they looked so good and now while I am eating it I feel the need to let you know that this muffin is absolutely bang on!
Great little place, had a coffee and breakfast and was delicious. Fast and very friendly people.
Grabbed a bite here on a late Sunday afternoon and where we in for a treat! Friendly staff, well portioned delicious food, and a Mimosa and iced mocha to follow suit!
