Colonial Brewing Co reviews
55Went there during the JJJ top 100. A man with short hair behind the bar didn't even bother wearing a mask despite it being crowded. Often these are the types of people that complain about restrictions. The least you can do is put a mask on. I saw no enforcement or requesting people lining at the bar to wear masks either. Hardly surprising when a worker isn't wearing one.
Amazing space with a decent food menu and afternoon vibes. Shame the beers are really safe and they don't have any real seasonals / limited releases. The New World Pilsner wasn't capturing my tastebuds.
Colonial brewing is perfectly place in the quiet back streets to chill out for lunch or after work drinks in Port Melbourne. The venue has good indoor and outdoor seating options so you catch some sun too during the day. Food menu is decent and done well with burgers, pizzas, salads, smaller share food and more. Drink selection is good too for more than just beer and staff are helpful. Worth a visit
Really great venue with both indoor and outdoor seating. Food was delicious with lots of options, and the beer was top quality too. The venue itself is quite large with plenty of seating, but it did get quite full quite quickly in the afternoon, with lots of groups and parties.
Food was prompt and the staff were pleasant.
Dogs are allowed outside only.
Nice way to spend a sunny weekend afternoon. Unfortunately there’s no brewery tour on offer, would have loved to partake in one. The tasting paddle is a fun way to taste their range; I think their cider and pale ales are the standouts. The supreme pizza was very adequate and tasty, the rueben was ok but I’ve had better.
Love the DJ playing music at the front to add to the fun atmosphere.
Thank you to Maddie and Hannah for a wonderful afternoon! They were incredibly helpful and so easy to deal with:)
Great Venue. My partner and I loved coming here for a cheeky beer and snacks. Also had out farewell party here and the function team organised the prefect space!
Cool dining space, great tasting food and prompt service. Beers are top quality. Highly recommend.
Great atmosphere.great service. Maddy the waitress was a great hostess.a great asset to your establishment.will definitely be returning.
Nice location, outdoor seating under umbrella shade, friendly service, automated service via app on the table. Good venue.
The southwest sour is my personal top. However, you would not regret if you go with any other beer. Cheers!
Great food and beer is definitely worth a try bought a slab on the way out.will be going again soon!
Great venue, in a really nice part of Melbourne. My favorite beer is the southwest sour, love the stuff #indian_whisky_co
Pitstop pick up for a six pack this morning on the health walk. Glad they're still open and serving takeaways in these times!
The Colonial Brewing Co is a micro brewery originating in Margaret River, WA and has grown to a national Australian owned brand.
Ive been to a few events here. There is ample parking and its easily accessible from parking to the venue. The staff are amazing and very accommodating, there was a truckload of confetti all over the place from the guests. Im sure cleaning it up afterward was a real pain.
Inside the brewery is visible from the event section and gives the place an authentic feel.
Awesome brews. Please stay strong and keep your name and continue making a great product. I will be buying a load of it in spite of the bullying from the woke mob.
The best beer in Melbourne. The Robust Porter oozes chocolate, with a slight hint of coffee right in the background. It's like dessert for adults
Stand up for yourselves and don't give into pathetic keyboard warriors. Never drank your beer previously but I just bought a case from Dan Murphy.
Please DO NOT change the name of this iconic brewery. Stand tall and stay put with your name and you will be supported by us, the silent majority. I'm off to buy a carton today.
What’s in a name? Doesn’t matter to me it’s what in the can that matters and your beer is very good! I’m going out of my way to buy a slab of COLONIAL BEER this weekendKeep up the good work guys and don’t change the name
