I found studying through CAL practical as there were no deadlines to meet, the work was all actually what self-paced is all about. All the assessors I have completed by studies with were excellent, friendly and happy to be flexible where needed. If you are contemplating study, with the addition of work and children, CAL is your calling! Diploma now completed and I could not be happier!

I completed a Dual Diploma (Leadership & Management + Business) while working full time and juggling busy family life during this crazy period in history. This was made possible by the amazing staff and CALs focus on adult education. A big shout out to Marissa Litonjua (Learning Coach) who provided the amazing support and encouragement required to navigate the challenges and opportunities of adult education.

I just completed a Diploma of Human Resources Management (plus the Cert IV pathway package). It was a seamless process and the staff were always providing excellent support. While I had a variety of learning coaches, most of the guidance were given by Marissa L and Kerri W. They are highly experienced and provided an advanced level of coaching. Would thoroughly recommend this option.

I recently completed a double diploma in project management + construction management. The online platform was very user friendly and I was able to understand the follow the content pretty well. If I required assistance there was always motivated staff ready to assist and resolve any issues in a timely manner.

Special thanks to Marrisa Litonjua and Wendy Close who assisted me greatly in further understanding the subjects and course content.

CAL also offer recognition of prior learning which assisted me as I have been in the industry for 16 years and was able to gain recognition of a large amount of the course content.

I would definitely train and study with CAL again in any future opportunities.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my studies through the College for Adult Learning. The learning material was easy to read and tutors always on hand when ever you need help. I even receive courtesy emails and reminders on how I was going throughout the process. The staff are of excellent and professional services and I couldn't recommend them more. Celebrating that I recently completed my Double Diploma in Business Administration & Leadership and Management. I feel that I learnt valuable skills and knowledge to assist my career. I commenced this course during a period of not having a workplace due to taking leave to care for my aged mother and wanting to improve my work skills. I used all of the Case Study resources which were relevant to units and this provided good direction and material to complete assessments. With my previous work knowledge and experience I was able to fast track quite a few of the units and then other units I found it valuable to work through the tutorials and activities to gain further knowledge.
My coaches and assessors over the course were Meagan and Marissa and they were both wonderful facilitators, being friendly, encouraging and supportive. It was always a pleasure to talk with them and also made me feel comfortable completing role play assessments. If I needed any clarification of requirements it was easy just to book a call and then gain insight to get the tasks completed. Thank you Meagan and Marissa, you gave me wonderful inspiration to complete the course.

My whole experience across the course was that it was very supportive from all of the team at CAL from the beginning to the finish, including the student administration team and the online learning platform is easy to use.
It feels rewarding to have completed the course and it’s given me greater confidence now that I’m back in the workforce.

I have recently completed my Double Diploma of Humam Resources Management & Leadership Management with CAL - it was a great experience & I enjoyed completing my studies with CAL. I had great support from my coaches & the college throughout my course which made stress free. I would most definitely recommend CAL to all looking to complete a nationally recognised diploma at a self paced level. I completed my course in 2.5 years while working full time, the college was so supportive during my 2.5 years of studies with them! I am now qualified in the field I have been passionate about which mean I can now confidently apply for roles with HRM thanks to my new Double Diploma I have completed with CAL! 2020 a year of turmoil and uncertainty, CAL have maintained there standards and assistance through out.

I have recently completed a Double Diploma in Project Management and Leadership & Management through CAL. The coaches at CAL are friendly and very helpful. I was able to complete the course well under the allocated time due to the user friendly platform that CAL have constructed and also aided by the fast response times from CAL staff.
My assignments were returned quickly with a detailed response indicating what I did well and what I should pay more attention to which helped shape my thought patterns through the course until I had the bigger picture on what was required from me at the final assessment.
CAL staff have always been easy to contact and very considerate to the fact that most learners are working full time while undertaking their studies.
I have learnt a great deal through this course and would like to thank everyone at the College for Adult Learning for their assistance through my journey.

I completed a double diploma with CAL. I found the material easy to access with their online dashboard. I felt that there was material available for various learning styles - which sometimes is missed with on-line learning. Learning material was perfect for me as it allowed me to push and challenge myself and get the most out of the course that I required. The whole team were supportive in my learnings and offered help with work / study / life balance when I was time poor due to work commitments, which I feel is a nice personal touch, they understand the human side and you are not just a number. I 100% recommended CAL as a study platform.

I didn’t enjoy studying with CAL unfortunately. Nothing personal to the organisation or the staff, I just found the whole course super time consuming and draining. The forever changing study material and layouts were confusing and it lacked engagement.

I was very impressed with my experience today with my career coach. Jenni gave me an informative consultation on how to further my career. I felt that I have invested well with CAL. Thank you so much.

I was about to quit due to things happening in my personal life and they really really understood me and gave me alternative options to finish my Diploma. Thanks College for Adult Learning.

The course was actually reciting from text. No video no examples no explanation. Buy a book save your mmoney.

I would strongly reccommend people heed the 1 and 2 star reviews for this training organisation.

I am enrolled in the Diploma of Project Management, a relatively straightforward course that has caused me nothing but confusion and anxiety due to lack of feedback on completed units, responses to technical questions and a general discrepancy of any form of a clear and relevant course structure.

While there are Facebook groups relevant to each course offered by CAL, they are not accessible by those not currently enrolled in a course. As such, those contemplating undertaking these courses will not be able to see the ample displeased comments and questions, from the many students in the same position as myself.

Save your money, I have learnt no more in this course than I was able to read from the pages of a single textbook bought for $30 on Amazon.
If you're genuinely interested in online study, do it through a reputable registered training organisation.

It's really surprising to see such good reviews of CAL! I feel the 1 and 2 star reviews are probably more of an accurate representation, as it was certainly indicative of my experience! I commenced a double diploma in Project Management & Construction Management. Both the course content and platform is extremely outdated and really lacks organisation! I raised my concerns with the support team who advised they were in the middle of upgrading their platforms and that my chosen course was still running on their older suite (fair enough, but that doesn't explain the course content - out of date, poorly written, with no flow.) If you are time poor, please be mindful there's a lot of jumping in and out of different areas and getting things organised so you end up frustrated before you even get to the study side of things. Their online tutorials consist of someone reading slides word for word with no elaboration (not very good teaching). Support Crew were really good and I couldn't fault them in terms of their customer service and they seemed to be very aware of issues above. After applying for a refund on the 30 day mark, I received it. Perhaps things may be better on their new platform but I suggest doing your research before committing. I have since enrolled with another school - saved money and I can't even compare the courses. They are leaps and bounds ahead of these guys!

I absolutely would not recommend CAL! Yes they are great salesman, they will tell you all great things, tel you that you will have ongoing support, your own learning coach, do it at your own pace etc etc.

It’s when you start the course you see the red flags and unfortunately I let this go on and on and wish I applied for a refund after 30days.

CAL provides very little support. To contact a coach you are looking at days to weeks waiting. They have the odd times still available but these time slots are usually the 8pm or 7am Saturday/ Sunday morning. Still days wait for those times.

CAL will cancel scheduled calls and not reschedule for you, only email to say I need to reschedule. (And wait another week or 2)

The coaches provide very little information. I asked for help of one coach and he sent me 13 attachments of all different stuff and said that’s all I need. (If that’s what I need then why is it not available on the learning platform)

The coach is only available over the phone. There is no system in place such as Skype where the coach is able to share computer screens or look at the students page.

The best support you will get is the Facebook page where other students who are also frustrated and confused try to help each other.

The platform the course is run on is all over the shop. It’s not well structured, the information is basic and mostly outdated.

The learning material is written poorly and jumps from subject to subject. There’s no flow to the structure.

You will find when completing activities you will read the requirement and the question may say “complete XYZ that you completed in the last tutorial”. So you flick back to the last tutorial and it doesn’t say anything about completing an activity before starting the next tutorial.

This company is very well known however its a very poorly run company.

Save your money and pay that little extra elsewhere to have a better reputable company who is willing to provide you with all you need to stay motivated and complete your desired study successfully.

The team at CAL has prepared relevant and diverse online content to make it easier to study. The coaches are warm, encouraging & supportive to deal with. I'm thoroughly enjoying the Double Diploma in Project Management and Leadership & Management.
