Cocochine Point Cook reviews
60Been here many times, always fresh and tasty food, try the Mongolian beef, cantonese beef, Cocochine special fried rice, the owner Leanne and chef are true hospitality people and staff are fabulous. Service is great, We always get our Chinese Vietnamese take out from here, the best in Point Cook hands down.
There was quite a large group of us, and the restaurant accommodated us and our meal choices so very well. We came fully prepared to have the set menus, and everything was organised so well. We were able to sort out the bill for food and drinks at the end, easily. *no split bills*. The food could not have been more delicious and so much of it. Absolutely fantastic service, even though the restaurant was packed.
Hospitality on point
Meals are always yummy
Prices reasonable
Always enjoy our meals here
As a family restaurant, they should pay attention to cust safety, however they don’t provide standart baby chair. They use portable chair or whatever that is and stick it to adult chair, which is super unsafe. It doesn’t provide support for small baby as it does not hold the baby properly. I mean, standart ikea high hair is cheap.
Foods are nice, however the portion is too small compare to the prices they offer. Pay $60ish for 2 maincourse and 2 bowls of white rice for 2 persons.
Last night we decided to try this restaurant for dinner. Called them before hand and asked if we need booking, staff told me that its Sunday and no need, just walkin. But when arrived it was full and busy. I understand sometime you get unexpected rush, but when approached front staff for table i was rudely told we are busy. I was happy to wait for half an hour, but that staff behaviour just put me off. He was rude and wouldn't give a sh.t. End up going to next door Miss Pickle where staff members were more welcoming. You guys might be serving good foods, but need to work on your basic customer service.
The service is next level here. Always greeted with a smile and staff go above and beyond. The açai bowls and protein shakes are the best I’ve ever had. I can’t get enough of this place.
Just ordered a chow mein. Its nothing more than dry burned maggi 2 minute noodles with a bit of meat.
We went there to have a family dinner night to celebrate our son’s birthday, as we have had good experiences in our past visits here. We booked the table in advance.
The hospitality by the restaurant staff was very poor. The waitress was rather busy at cleaning the previous tables than coming to greet us and take our order. After waiting for more than 10 minutes, I went to the counter to ask for a cake cutting knife to which they simply gave a big knife. No apologies or even then did it trigger them to be more attentive to serve our table.
Had it not been our son’s birthday, we wouldn’t have continued with our dinner there.
Food was below average. Some of the Chinese take away shops make better food than them.
Not impressed at all considering they hold the prime location in Point Cook Town Centre. Definitely need to be more accountable for doing a better job.
Not going back ever.
Food on time
fantastic food
amazing chefs
mind blowing all staff
place is very nice
5 out of 5 rating for them because they deserve.
Absolutely loved this place. Lovely ambience, friendly staff and the food was delicious. Reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit.
Fantastic place to dine in with easy meal sharing if you are wanting to relax and enjoy the food, it's always a pleasure to meet and eat here
Went here for dinner on a pretty busy Saturday night. We were seated pretty quick, attentive service and orders came out quickly.
2 main issues is that they completely missed an entree order, didnt realise till we had to remind /ask and then cancel the item as we were well and truly through the main courses. Also at times service felt pretty rushed as not a second after you put your fork down do they come wanting to clear your plate - give it a couple minutes folks, nothing more off putting than being felt rushed.
Most dishes had nice flavours though and will give it another try. We were told they had new floor staff, so will give them the benefit of the doubt.
I would not recommend this place for the banquet we had tonight. The food is bland and $46pp for 5 people is definitely not worth the money, and especially what you get at this restaurant! Would not eat here again!
I have visited Cocochine twice now and have enjoyed my meal on both occasions. I have been very satisfied not only with the service, but the quality of the meal overall. All of the meat dishes had soft tender pieces of meat cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend to dine in here.
Most underrated place in Point Cook. The food is superb and so are their wonderful staff. Will surely visit again and again.
Family owned restaurant, great food, great service and amazing atmosphere. Definitely coming back in the future.
Did think this place was good until today.
The waiter spilt drinks over my grandson and son, with no compensation for the pink stain down his back from the raspberry drink a drink on the house. Just bring in your dry cleaning recipt and we will reimburse you.
We said we are not paying for the drinks. In which she only took off the cost of 2 drinks and said we will not pay for your dry cleaning.
They where 4 drinks that spilt over them which she finally took off the bill.
Then waiting to use the toilet a staff member came out of the ladies wearing her apron and went straight into the kitchen.
Not hygienic at all.
Very nice food and good choices for meat eaters. Lacks options for vegans and vegetarians (putting fish sauce/oyster sauce etc in means it is not vegetarian!). Good atmosphere and would recommend booking at table on busy nights. Service is a bit slow but staff apologetic and polite.
Great service, best meal in a while.we had the steamed prawn dumplings, duck and mushroom soup, Peking honey chilli beef and combination chow mein.everything was amazing but the duck and mushroom soup was a highlight.
9 years ago on our 1st date Eileen and I had lunch here.
We recently had dinner and it was delicious once again.
Thankyou Cocochine for many years of wonderful meals. Highly recommended
