Cochin Wine Bar & Vietnamese Restaurant

My favourite Restaurant everrrrr I always love the food every time I dine in at Cochin (I love every dishes so can't really pick one as a fave), and my dining experiences are always wonderful with the warm welcome from very lovely people. Highly highly recommended to dine at Cochin for your next event

We had a really awful experience here tonight, we had booked for 3 people this evening and were having a look through the menu when one of the staff came over to advise us we could only do the banquet. We questioned this as when we booked we had looked specifically if this was required and it said only for groups of 6 or more (as shown in the email below). We just wanted clarification and when the owner came she was very aggressive about how this is very clear in the confirmation email and that she has been in charge of the website for years so knows exactly what it says. We would’ve been fine with the banquet if this really was clear and they had been polite but after her aggressive manner we just felt so awkward that we had to leave. Never felt so uncomfortable at a dining experience in my life.

Fantastic food, service was great and wines were excellent.
Had the Banquet menu. Everything was delicious and they recommended some great wines to match.

Delicious prawns so crispy. The food is better than ever and great service, thank you for boosting our spirits in lockdown

Had Cochin takeaway last night. Sensational as always! The takeaway was as good as eatin. Just missed their amazing hospitality when we eat in. Looking forward to being able to get back in there again!

Best place ever, the cocktail are delicious, the food is just so tasty, the staff is so friendly, everything is perfect over there.
I'm going to miss you really much.

It was my first dining experience since coronavirus restrictions have been slightly relaxed and I felt so reassured once I arrived at Cochin. I felt so confident that the owner and wait staff had taken every precaution and than my evening was made even better from the good quality service & amazing food. Can’t wait to come back again ️

Cochin was enjoyable as it always was. Great flavour full meals and friendly helpful staff. Book and enjoy if you have't already. Love their Negroni's.

This was our first dining out experience since COVID-19 and it could not have been better. Super attentive staff, delicious food, warm and cosy atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble and the ‘small touches’ were greatly appreciated. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We will be back

Friendly and efficient service. Decor is nice. Convenient location.

However the food was a let down. Looking at all the five star reviews though I wonder if I went there on an off night. I thought the food was quite average and my partner felt the same. We ordered two dishes one of which was recommended by the serving staff. The flavor and taste was pretty average and we ended up not finishing either of the two dishes. Not saying the food is bad just not good enough to tempt me to come again. However the other reviews are pretty good so maybe we missed something. My recommendation - Go there with tempered expectations.

Fabulous food cooked with the freshest ingredients and made with love. You can taste it! Highly recommend Cochin.

Magnificent service, food and atmosphere.
I’m not a regular Vietnamese cuisine person but this place has converted me.

My most favourite place. Jason, Sonja and the staff make you feel like family. Amazing food whether you want noodles, stir fry or curry. Vietnamese like you've never had before. Perfect for special occasions or dinner with friends. Great wine list. Save room for dessert.

Nice food, nothing out of the ordinary. Was super full when we went but the food came fast. Not my best pick for a restaurant in that street.

We’ve been here several times and tried many different menu options and all the food has been amazing! Service has always been great too. This is our go-to place to bring out of town visitors

Love this place! French-Vietnamese gives one the best of both worlds: a fabulous (french) wine list, tasty vietnamese food, and french influenced desserts. Service has always been good and the prices are reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended.

Amazing service and the most delicious food. We hosted a group of 16 and the restaurant staff catered for us beautifully.

Came here 2 weeks agk and got replaced chicken with pork and was fine. I came today and requested the same but today i didnt get replaced they said its impossible. Bad image for the restuatent, not customet friendly

Consistently top shelf Viet-French food with a wine menu to match. Fantastic service from very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
