Coaster Take Away

We had hamburgers and they were very average.
The roll was on the small side for $11 & the base was soggy.
The meat patty was way smaller than the roll.
The salad was was ok.
Will not be rushing back for this.

Fantastic. As a well seasoned lover of fish and chips I can highly recommend Coaster. Not only are the fish and chips delicious, but you get very generous portions too, other than some other places, which are just enough to feed a sparrow, I always get much more than I can eat and share them out to others. Crispy delicious chips. Very more-ish, and they are always friendly and very nice to the customers. I recommend giving them a try, much better than other places I have had them from. 5 stars

By far, the worst fish & chips I have ever eaten: the batter was cold & rubbery, the fish bland, and the chips average, at best. What a colossal waste of money. I threw it in the bin; don’t bother!

Got big box of chips. Under seasoned, over cooked and chips potatoes tasted pretty old and stale, as if they had been frozen for years. Pretty basic standard stuff

Omg. The worst reheated fish and potato cakes I’ve ever had. Tartare sauce and garlic aioli very odd more like a powder that has been mixed with water. Never again.

Food is alright but the batter for potato cakes and the flavour of dim sims is severely lacking, staff are friendly too just wish there was some more flavour in their batter

Just moved into the area, tried a few around locally, this place does not disappoint! Very well priced and perfect for single people as they have very small portions available

Friendly fast service.good quality.only complaint is the fish is tasteless.doesnt really taste how flake should.have both normal and chicken salt.potato cakes awesome

I have been at Coaster four times in past three weeks. Only bought flake, chips and dim sims and each time the food has been great and the lady that serves you is lovely. Keep up the good quality and good service.

Best grilled fish and calamari I’ve ever had. The chicken salt has a lemony herb taste, you don’t even need any sauce.

Worst fish and chips we’ve ever had, chips were ok, but the fish and scallops were overcooked and dry, never again.

Made a phone order was told 20 minutes. Arrived in 10 minutes paid and waited for 45 minutes to find out they had it in the bain marie for over 30 minutes so food was now soggy. No one asked us what we were waiting for. Staff member forgot to write paid on our order. Heaps of staff but no one taking charge. Very disappointing. They apologised and gave us a free drink but for an $80 plus order. Surely if someone is waiting that long you would check with them what order they were waiting for.

Great food and service, been going here for years and since the new owners took over things have only gotten better!

I only bought dim Sims and they were horrible. Also charged extra for soy sauce. Wont be rushing back there

Would not recommend. We had to bring 12 dimsims back as they were all under cooked.they where rude when returning and instead of cooking us fresh dimsims they re cooked the ones that we had already touched and taken bites out of which Is against health regulations.
The potato cakes where undercooked, chips were undercooked and the souvlaki had little to no meat!
Over all the worst service and food I have ever had at a fish n chip shop.

Basically fish and chip shop also sells hamburgers and souvlakis. Bacon and egg rolls, chicken schnitzels, and cold drinks. Clean if dated premises popular with locals. Food is very fresh and delicious. Friendly staff. A neat little hideaway.

Overall very nice & crispy. We thought the batter around the fish was too thick & heavy.

Food is nice but have decided not to go here anymore because In this day and age still no eftpos. Get with it.dodgy

Good old fashioned fish and chips. Were friendly and food tasted great. Great variety and would recommend.

I always order the blue grenadier fish extra crispy and it is always lovely. I also think they have lovely chips and nice battered seafood sticks. The corn-jacks are nice as well.
