These guys hooked me up with a Luxman integrated in less than a month, delivered from Japan to Perth when my local dealer said it was going to take double that time and 2k more. Excellent, professional service.

Very knowledgeable and helped me narrow down my AVR options. They even gave lots of technical advice about speakers I already owned, which helped understand what I should get. To top it all off, they gave me a great price. They are the reason why you go to a brick-and-mortar store.

Utterly useless. Rang to question availability of a product and sone tech details. Sale person just ummed and ahhed, and couldn’t answer basic questions. Forget it!

In relation to the below response, I would suggest proper training of new staff, would alleviate the impression that the business is poorly run. If the trainee is unable to provide an answer, that is totally understandable, but don’t just throw a new staff member in the deep-end.

This was a repeat visit today and the guys did it again! Chirpy, cheeky banter along with the great advice. We bought an amp a few weeks ago - and today I returned to get new bookshelf front speakers. Good price deal, great product, great service. A pleasure to deal with - especially in COVID trading period.

Called Clef Hi Fi for help to select amplifier and speakers for my record player. I had no idea how to select one that would work with my Rega P2, what else I needed, and the advice and service I got from Steve was so helpful. When I collected them, very helpful and patient service staff showed a novice like me how to connect it all up. And all at a stellar price. Highly recommend.

I totally agree with the other 5 star reviews of this amazing hi-fi shop, a must-visit place if you are in the area. Clef is probably the best hi-fi shop in Melbourne. One thing that stands them out from other similar stores is that their range of quality products caters to both budget buyers and also the high-end audiophile market, a breadth of market that some of its competitors don't factor in with their product ranges. For electronics, the full range from Yamaha, Marantz, Denon and Rotel are stocked but they often sell out of the affordable entry level models, which are tremendous value and, for some, will sound almost as good as the higher end models. At the high end, you seriously must hear the Japanese Luxman range; super expensive but with industrial-style build quality that looks set to last a lifetime. For speakers, check out the Polk, Dali and Bowers and Wilkins ranges, which seem to be a Clef speciality. My most recent purchase was a pair of Dali Spektor 2 bookshelf speakers mated to a Marantz CR612 mini system; not only was the price competitive but they also gave me free banana-clipped loudspeaker cable. Another plus for the store is that they do trade-ins, mostly of brands that they stock, as they are a fully licensed second hand dealer. You won't get much, but it is more than what pawnbrokers will offer. Shop here with confidence, the staff are experts in the industry and will give you excellent service. Highly recommended!

Clef Hi Fi will be my go to now for home theatre equipment. They have a large range & delivery from them in Melbourne to Sydney was only a few days. Highly recommend.

They have good deals andnfriendly staff. Whe. You want to buy something, they can get you the absolute best price. They also will let you enjoy yourself in the cozy shop with multiple floors and try out different systems.
Just make sure you get the right items. Their trade in is not the best option. They might just tell you to sell it yourself as they told me for speakers in brand new condition which I bought from them and which are still under warranty.

Had a really great experience here after visiting a couple of other audio stores. I got straight forward advice, a great deal on an amp and speaker set and will definitely be back for any other speaker purchases. Highly recommended.

I have become a fan of this place. Two weeks ago, I dropped in to look at a new front floorstander pair and centre speaker for my HT setup. I loved the ambiance and the folks were so helpful. They are not pushy and were very courteous. Also, they were very responsive on Facebook where I had sent a few questions prior to heading down.
Louis helped us a lot and patiently demonstrated the two pairs of speakers I was after and I ended up buying the Dali Oberon 5 and Oberon Vokal centre speakers. I got a good price and also Louis helped us move the speakers to our car. Even my wife who is generally not interested in these things was engaged and also encouraged me to go ahead with the purchase.
Overall great experience, wonderful customer service and no pushy sales. Therefore I will definitely recommend them and will definitely shop there again. Thanks again to Louis and the staff.
