Crazy good food. I have been to few Sri Lankan restaurants in Melbourne and this one is the best I have experienced so far. Customer service and the care for customers are outstanding. When I said I need vegetarian they did everything to customise the meal exactly the way I needed. Some Sri Lankan restaurants don't do that (bit of Ego I guess)
Anyway the food is fantastic. Not too oily (which you see in most sri lankan curries) and has nice balance of all the flavours they need. It is like you had a meal from an authentic Sri Lankan house, not from a Sri Lankan Up market wedding buffet. Will come for more food in future.

The buffet is super tasty and very light on the pocket.
Most dishes are spicy but for someone like myself who can't take much heat, it is tolerable and worth it.

Sometimes the portions are inconsistent, some staff give 2 small papadums and other staff gives 4-5, otherwise still tasty.

Went on a Saturday evening around 9 o'clock. The food was good but was served cold. They have buffet and that is why the food wasn't t that great.

Amazing Sri Lankan Buffet. $20 all u can eat with a large variety of food to choose from. $17 single serve with cash discount. So glad this place is in our hood. It does get busy so best to go early.

Very good food and great ambience. One of the few places in Melbourne with a live buffet everday for lunch as well as dinner. Very friendly people

Citrus is the most authentic Lankan food experience I've ever had in Melbourne. Been here four times in the last three weeks. Would recommend everyone to dine in, it's well tailored to locals without losing the Lankan authenticity. There are condiments to spice it up if you like your food spicy and hot like myself. The staff are also quite friendly and personable.:)

Value for money buffet. Some good dishes it some of the usual suspects missing from the offering such as hoppers and strong hopper. Very busy tonight for the $20 buffet. Every table had bums on seats.

I’d give this 3.5 stars but I can’t so I’m rounding it up. The buffet food was decent, there was a lot of different dishes with great mixture of spices, however but the variety lacked terribly in the different “types” of dishes. Everything was very similar spicy, gloopy foods. There were no soups, salads, desserts or drinks included in the buffet.disappointing. After a while I felt like I was eating the same thing just in different colors.the only dish I could get that was a bit different was the papadum. It’s a very cheap buffet, but for people who can’t eat much i didn’t feel like I was getting my money’s worth as ingredients were a bit low in quality as you expect from a buffet. Restaurant staff, super friendly and helpful. Gluten free everything too, at no extra cost was also very nice!

I truly enjoyed eating here as a first time experience, I loved that there is both vegan and non vegan options so I got to try both! The only problem was that I ate too quickly and got full so fast, hahah I will take my time next time, I couldn't help it it was delicious ️️!

For a buffet it is cheap. Yet the rice was dry, and curries tasted a bit bland. I understand they might not make the food spicy due to the type of customers and location of the restaurant. But would reccomend adding spicy veggie options for vegetarians.

Really enjoyed my experience here! Tried the all u can eat deal. Authentic Sri Lankan food; mostly good for the price and they seem to try and keep good quality food. No desserts though. Definitely will try to go back. Interior design is good, staff can be more welcoming. Don't forget to take cash for payment.

Great buffet for just 15$! This was very unexpected for me as usually a buffet for this price is unimaginable in Melbourne cbd. They had a wide variety of curries; good for both vegetarians and meat lovers! The staff were very friendly and polite. Because of the COVID restrictions, they were serving our food in the buffet, which I think was great!
Usually quite busy, so better to avoid peak hours if possible. While we were having dinner, we could see people queuing outside; and who would leave quickly when you have a whole buffet to eat!
Some curries could have been better in taste wise, but all the dishes had a very home cooked taste which I loved.

Amazing food that is great for the price, although they definitely know how to make a business because you get full wayy too early to get back on the cheap buffet deal! Lovely restaurant and super nice staff! Definitely recommend going here! Especially with the way they are handling restrictions in these hard covid times, the buffet still works just as well with full safety procedures in place for both employees and customers!
