Chumanchu

Four of us went to Chumanchu today for lunch. The prawn in Pad Thai we ordered did not taste fresh and the garlic in the ingredients also seemed to be in storage for quite some time. Need more improvement, Chumanchu!

I’m giving 5 stars for the coffee as that’s all I’ve had from there at this stage. It’s definitely the best in the area! The barista is always very friendly too

The one star is mainly for Service. After almost an hour we ask the waitress what had happened to our order. We were told that the docket was lost and proceeded to take our order again. We were the second table at the time of placing our first order, so it wasn't due to being too busy! Tables were filling up and entrees and mains were being served way after we had ordered our 2 dishes. As meals were being serviced around us, we were not asked if our meals arrived, especially when our seating was from 6pm - 7: 30pm and by this stage it was 7: 10pm. I am aware that this may happen due to restaurants being busy and/or short staffed, but this was not the case! No one checked up on us nor were we asked if we would like another drink. An apology doesn't ok it when the follow up was not acceptable. Showing an apology may have eased the case such as making the one beer and soda water on the house!
Check on your customers from time to time! Our wedding anniversary was spoilt! Sorry Chumanchu, but you will not be our regular dining place again.

A bit pricy food but excellent presentation, quality food and great wait staff.
They don't split bills. However, you can divide the bill in equal parts and pay individually.

Love this place, amazing food. Good portions. Loved the cocktails. Definitely going back again soon.

Great coffee, great service and excellent food. Our new fav cafe. Worth a visit for brunch or dinner. Scrambled eggs, bacon and spicy sausage area winner with hubby. Satay chicken for dinner with really great coconut rice is my fav dish.

Great food, great staff. A couple okay beers. Shame they don't have any craft beers but still a decent place to eat in or take away. Really nice decor and nice clean toilets! Def worth a visit.)

Open like a Cafe during the day and dinner at night. But after a hard morning ride it was nice to find a place to buy a beer and chill out for a bit.

Staff were friendly, accommodating and easy going. Still maintained covid rules and were not over the top.

Although we only stopped for a drink, lots of food was served and it looked good enough for another visit, so heading down again.and why not #supportlocal like we do and try them out as well.

Food was good and restaurant had great ambience. Unfortunately they were having some electrical issues when we went, but luckily our meal was done before the full outage happened! I'd definitely go back!

Terrible service
we were given a two hour booking session, we ordered as soon as we got to the restaurant (which was on time), we got our mains 15 minutes before our time slot was up giving us hardly any time to eat before being shovelled out. Absolutely ridiculous. 2 hours and only 15 minutes to actually eat. The food was not worth the wait with one of our dishes tasting burnt.

Just had the beef pho and it was delicious! They Took care to make sure I had all the gear to set it up perfectly how I want it at home.
Keen to dine in when we can

Thanks Chumanchu for fixing my Pho fix in this lockdown. Just hit the spot, amazing stock, perfect noodles and all the trimmings needed to lift my spirits on this winter’s lockdown evening. Can’t wait to dine in as soon as we are aloud.

Went there with group of people, order their special chicken dish (hot dish) and while the sauce was at a nice temperature the chicken inside was cold like they just put frozen chicken in the hot sauce. Been sick for three days. Never going there again.

A hidden gem in Preston away from the hustle and bustle of high street.
Make sure to book in advance as you may be disappointed.
The pho is authentic and spring rolls are home made. 5 stars

Great service and food delightful. Suggesting the mussels and the pork belly. Dessert i thought was very interesting, roasted banana with taro sticky rice and ice cream. Presentation was classy. Highly recommend.

The food is so good here for both dine in and takeaway. Nothing me or anyone I have been with have eaten has been bad, which is saying something as the offer a few different Asian Cuisines. The staff are also always very friendly.

The food was excellent but we had to wait a bit before our order was taken. The staff was extremely nice.

First time to have dine in at Chumanchu…By far the best Wagyu beef pho soup ever! We enjoyed the soup and best are the Banana Fritters and Dates pudding! Needs to make a booking do avoid disappointment… but I called an hour before we went and still got a table… the waitresses are so kind. I think the owner was there too watching his costumers enjoy their meals!

Food was great, drinks were great, atmosphere was great! We booked at 5.30pm-7.30pm time slot, but at 7.10pm when we were still eating we were told that people were waiting for our table and essentially told to hurry up and leave even though we weren’t finished.
