Chrismont - Cellar Door, Restaurant & Larder

Had one of the most genuine and relaxing lunch experiences at Chrismont restaurant yesterday. It's difficult to say what was best.the warm and welcoming hosts and staff, delicious seasonal dishes or amazingly priced and very drinkable wine. Well worth a day trip from Melbourne, I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Wonderful, interesting and honest food, excellent variety of great quality and interesting wines, staff that are genuinely friendly and knowledgeable, and hosts that welcoming and caring people.
The views out over the vineyard and surrounding mountains are spectacular and the restaurant is beautifully designed and well maintained.
It's a rare gem. Highly recommended.

We had the most amazing food at Christmont restaurant on Friday. I had the chicken which was one of the best dishes I have ever had. The wine was lovely and the outlook from the restaurant is gorgeous and relaxing. We enjoyed our cellar door experience and had many laughs and chats with the lady who was working there. Everyone was so friendly and I would highly recommend you check it out for lunch/dinner- you won't be disappointed.

We could not find one fault with any course and between 6 of us we sampled most of the menu, including deserts. Highly recommended.

The beautiful outlook over the valley is complemented by the delicious food. The food was reasonably priced, fresh and generous. The wine is nice, and was surprisingly affordable.

Beautiful venue for a relaxed lunch. Food was all excellent and beautifully presented. Jo and her staff looked after us very well ensuring we were enjoying our lunch without being bothered unnecessarily. Highly recommended Chrismont's hospitality, food and wine.

What a gorgeous place to escape to for an afternoon. Wonderful service, the staff were very kind and attentive. The food was magnificent and the stand out wine was the Cab Sav. Will be making another trip out very soon. Thank you!

Service was very friendly and professional, the staff were very happy to help wherever possible and made us feel very welcome. The wines we enjoyed with our lunch were very nice and the restaurant itself was just beautiful with amazing views. The lunch itself was well presented, generous and tasty, thanks for the good experience Chrismont team.

This was a very happy experience. We saw this venue high up on the hill and called in. Had a great wine tasting a great chat and after l read the menu very sad that lunch was not available on this day. Coming back, especially as there is accommodation. Bought a number of wines too

Beautiful setting with friendly staff. The wine is a delight and I always leave with a few boxes of supplies.

Awesome restaurant! Staff are polite, friendly, helpful and incredibly accommodating. Place is very clean. Food is top notch. Wine is of a high standard. Food and wine affordably priced. Family friendly. Plenty of parking. Toilets are clean. Disability friendly. Wheelchair friendly. Spectacular views. Definitely worth a visit!

Had a great lunch here with an amazing wine selection and equally good food. A fine dining experience, together with the option for wine tasting before sitting down. The service was superb under the excellent and warm management of Jo who made the experience a delight. Will be going back again as soon as we can!

The best wine tasting I've ever had!

Big shoutout to the absolute legend Kate who works at Chrismont. Knowledgeable, super friendly and just overall had a great time thanks to her. The location is gorgeous, and the wines were really nice. My friend and I had planned to buy maybe a bottle each - we left with 7!

Highly recommend Chrismont on your trip in the King Valley, 10/5 fantastic experience.

Absolutely stunning winery, cellar door and restaurant with a million-dollar view! We absolutely enjoy every single dining experience here at Chrismont. The owners and the staff are spectacular, great selection of wines and excellent food. A highly recommended place when visiting the region.

The staff, wine, venue were excellent. The food however was really disappointing. Cold scallops with cold "congealed" bacon. Cold croquettes and a risotto that supposedly contained a ragut of osso bucco and mushrooms. Hardly any meat at all I'm afraid. Risotto had a "skin on it. I was with friends for lunch so would not have dreamed of complaining. Bill was $350 for lunch forfour including wine. Food not nice at all I'm afraid.

We attended Chrismont today for a wine tasting and lunch. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Relaxed dining with gorgeous elevated views out over the deck. The food was some of the best we've ever had; complimented by some unique and delicious wines. A special mention to Jane in the restaurant whom was so friendly and helpful and didn't hesitate to accommodate my partner's dietary needs. Looking forward to visiting again one day.
