Chris The Cobbler

Used to go to Chris as he was my local cobbler in Rosanna and now I travel to macleod if I need my shoes topy soled etc. He does a fantastic job, knows his craft and I trust him completely. Always does a fantastic job.

Can fix more than just shoes, he done leather and canvas bags, carpenters bags, xc-ski boots, straps, great at gluing and sewing.

Excellent service, and very friendly.
Needed my hiking shoes soles reattached for an O. S.trip, I had a tight deadline and they did what they could to fit me in and get it done.

I wonder whether there is a shoe they can’t repair and beautifully. I’d just about given up on a pair of expensive sneakers after the rubber heels wore down. Not only did they repair the wear, they returned them looking like new.

Great service and reasonable price. True professionals are hard to find, and when Chris retires he will be sorely missed. Worth a drive to visit.

I would be one of Chris's longstanding customers. I go back to when he first opened in 1989 in his first little shop in Bellevue Ave Rosanna. I have never been anywhere else since first going to him. He is super friendly, very efficient, and above all very honest. Look at other reviews, every comment is five star. How often do you see that, and this speaks for itself.

Chris the Cobbler is the last of a dying breed. I brought my Nike Shox rubber shoes to three other fake cobblers in northeast Melbourne and all turned me away telling me they can't fix the heel of my rubber shoes because of it's unique shape. Only Chris was willing to come up with a solution to the challenge and he delivered. Thank you Chris I don't need to throw away these shoes!

Not the cheapest, but consistent top quality work. Honest: lets you know if work doesn't need to be done.

When I went in to Chris's Rosanna shop, a woman was picking up some rather swish boots - and she had come to Chris's from north of Whittlesea
So Chris the Cobbler is quite famous, and rightly so. The friendly service and expertise warrants it
Sadly Chris had to leave his fabulous aromatic cave in Rosanna (the site is rubble ATM) but I'm glad he didn't move far

I can't believe I haven't done a review before. Chris is fantastic and brings the most disreputable looking old favourites back to looking amazing. Be warned though he's popular so you need to allow time.

I gave Lex and the team a pair of formal shoes to restore. He did a fantastic job - they look like new. I was so impressed I took off the shoes I was wearing and gave them to him to restore. Highly recommend.

Had my leather boots fixed due to manufacture fault. Chris and the team repaired them so good the stitching was better than when I bought them.

Chris sure knows his stuff and does great work. Not the cheapest but fairly priced considering the quality of workmanship. I'd definitely go back for all my leather needs.

They do a fantastic job and complete their workmanship to the highest of standards. From designer shoes and handbags to cutting keys, they have completed our requests with a friendly nature and are accurate with the expected time for completions.

Excellent craftsmanship is evident in the restoration of my old RM Williams shoes. Happy to take the time for others to know this old fashioned skill still exists. You won’t be disappointed.
