Chris The Cobbler reviews
41 Chris the cobbler did an amazing job on my RST motorcycle boots. I needed an extra piece of heavy duty elastic on the zipper and extended the Velcro fastener on the calf to accomodate my racing leathers.
Workmanship was fantastic.
Unfortunately I did come off my bike doing 120km but the boots remained on my feet and completely intact.
Thank you for doing some amazing quality work. I will be recommending to anyone in the motorcycling group to Chris!
Handy local service and friendly too. Chris and his staff are experts in shoe and leather/bag repair. We have been visiting Chris the Cobbler for all our shoe heel refurbishment, shoe stretching and bag repairs for at least a decade and from when he was located at Rosanna.
Does dr martens soles and all the hard to do jobs with A-grade skills. I travel across town to use them. The best.
Fantastic service and excellent quality of work. Took a pair of beloved Ugg boots for repair and was so impressed with the results. Highly recommend Chris the Cobbler - amazing
Took a pair of shoes to be repaired, very impressed with the quality of work and fair price, topped off with great friendly service. Highly recommend!
This is a wonderful store. The smell of leather permeates and reminds me of what great craftsmanship goes on inside. Picked up shoes yesterday- beautifully heeled and always friendly guys. I drive from Templestowe to Chris The Cobbler - there are other shoe repairers closer, but none as good. Keep up the great work!
Chris is super helpful
has fixed various items including my old doc martin boots
legend
definitely will be back
Chris the Cobbler is not the guy in here. I think maybe "CTC" is more of a Ronald McDonald type; a figurehead for the business. Or Perhaps a Colonel Sanders; he had something to do with the place once, but has moved one, leaving his mark on the sign at the front. Either way, they cut a mighty fine key at a reasonable price.
Came here to replace the leather soles of my loafers - which I'm attached to and that's why I got the soles fixed in the first place. To be fair I didn't say what soles and it got replaced with rubber soles. I was really disappointed as the originals were leather and I felt the aesthetic of the shoe had changed to look a lot cheaper with rubber soles. Otherwise the workmanship is neat and good.
So pleased with the excellent work on my favourite handbag. Replaced the handles and she looks like a new one!
Very reasonably priced too
Came here because others had reviewed here that they are the best cobblers around. I can see why! They were so helpful, kind, and incredibly good at their work! I'll be coming back for all my repair needs. Thanks guys!
The place was buzzing when I visited & experienced the great prices & wonderful service as mentioned by others. Bustling main street retail done very well.
I've just picked up my brand new $500+ Asoslo Italian leather hiking boots from Chris The Cobbler after having adjustments done. He has worked a MIRACLE! I had taken the boots previously to one of those 'regular' keycutter/shoe person booths at the large, local shopping centre (3times) for adjustment but they just didn't understand, were not particularly interested and did not produce much of a result in adjusting my boots over 3 trips. 'Chris the Cobbler' was right in tune with the problem and what needed to be done and any future adjustment (if required). Such a polite, affable service too. Will definitely return and recommend Chris the Cobbler to anyone in the future. Stew

I also followed Chris from his Rosanna shop to Macleod. The reason being very good quality work at a fair price. No job is too big nor small. Very much recommended. Cheers Tony
Incredible service & reasonable pricing. Have been very happy with various jobs on a range of shoes.
April 2022 - I have been using Chris' services for footwear repair for many, many years and now followed him to his new premises. Excellent customer service, always with a pleasant chat. Chris is a proper cobbler with his repairs being excellent and well worth the cost. Highly recommended.
Chris Is a superstar! Repaired the Heels of my shoes so they are wearable again! Quick - Great Price - And Fast turnaround time. I couldn't recommend enough.
Just received my black suede boots from Chris and the team and they are restored to better than new, with beautiful new leather lining, black elastic gusset, brushed and polished - I am so very pleased with the results and feel proud to once again wear them, thank you
Bought a pair of Nike Blazer 77’s a couple of weeks ago. Me not being too impressed with nikes quality control problems and having to deal with the company decided not to go through the process again and save a pair of shoes.
Not a massive amount of damage but the contact point between the vulcanised sole and the shoe itself didn’t hold tight with the glue Nike put in place. Took it to Chris the Cobbler as I heard amazing stuff about him. I brought my shoe in with the issue and it took all of 15 minutes to fix with no hesitation whatsoever. I was going to expect a Bill even though it was a rather simple job of applying glue but it was free of charge. Done! Just like that as simple as I hoped it would be but didn’t expect.
Instead of painfully waiting days upon days to respond with Nike and go through the same painful process I have done twice I saved a pair of perfectly good shoes that just needed tlc.
