Chiraag Indian & Nepalese Restaurant reviews
40 I wish I could give less with what happened today. I witnessed the least customer service experience ever in Australia in this restaurant. I called to book for table for two for dine in. A man answered the phone and I asked if there is possibility for dine in during this covid time. We went in there and he directed to the seat. When he came to take the order, we were not ready. So I said if he could come in few mins. He said you don't have masks so it's hard for him to serve us. I apologized and asked if we should leave. He said order, eat your food fast and leave. My wife and me got surprised with his tone. Never ever in our life we had experienced this kind of service from any restaurant. I don't care for the food and the environment, if the people are not nice.
(This is what we felt, doesn't have to be for every one)
Thank you.
I went to this restaurant and the lady was too rude and full of attitude. Please don’t visit to this pathetic place and I believe all the review above 2 star is fake! I’m a vegetarian and they served me non veg food and showed a lot of attitude without realising her fault. And even the taste of food was so bad! I would say if anyone is going to this restaurant going to regret! The service was also really bad and they didn’t care at all!
Went last night for the first and last time. Host was very insincere and annoying. Food was just average at best. Better places to go
Chiraag’s is a great family run Indian restaurant, the food is great and the service is also really good. We ordered many curry’s and they came out in good time and were fresh and hot. We have come back many times and will continue to come back.
This is the worst restaurant i have ever visited. The service is too late and the quality of the food is worst.
The garlic chilli lamb was awesome and I would definitely recommend this dish. Overall the taste of few other dishes we had tasted were nice but they could get even better hence 4 stars.
Selected the Family Pack for takeaway which included Butter Chicken, Rogan Josh, Mixed Vegetables, 2 x Basmati Rice, 2 x plain Naan, 2 x Samosa, 2 x Aloo Chops, 4 x Tandoori Chicken, Rita, 4 x Pappadum and Chutney.
Excellent value and a great feast for the family.
When ordering takeaway/pickup, best to place your order early as wait time can be up to 60 minutes.
Today's incident tried to place order over phone
Bt didn't go through
Reason - lady who i spoke to was impolite,
She really need to improve herself with communicating customers.
Best indian restaurant around hands down.
Priced very well and the food is absolutely fantastic.
Food is always tasty and high quality. Staff always pleasant and helpful. We choose to go regularly.
The vindaloo was extremely salty, had no heat or flavour. Very disappointed. The Aloo Gobi was not like we had in India, but ok. The Sabzi chicken was good. Overall experience, first time eating takeaway from there, probably wouldn't try again.
Very rude lady on the phone. I ordered through Uber eats the noodles and called back to give feedback they noodles is just full of veggies and hardly any noodles. The lady picked up the phone and she couldn't care less. She said she will tell "them" and hung up on me! How horrible.worst way to speak to customers. Never ordering again!
Have had take-away only once, and thought it excellent - chicken sabzi. Looking forward to next meal. Restaurant very nice, and packed.
So nice. Butter chicken and beef madras so tender and tasty. Butter naan bread was massive with nice bit of crisp on it.
Great Indian/ Nepalese food at good prices and service is great and friendly, I can recommend this place
One of the best butter chickens I’ve ever had.
Naan breads are delicious.
Great local gem.
Have been eating here for over a decade. Unlike so many other restaurants, these guys have remained super consistent with the high quality of food. The lamb vindaloo is awesome.
God sake. I believe every rating above 3 is so fake! And zero stars definitely for the customer handling. The negative reviews I read about the attitude about these guys is so true.wasn't good place start my Saturday evening. Guys.this attitude would not work.anyways good luck with this attitude. I am still surprised to expirience something like in Melbourne.
The goat curry is amazing. Have had it many times.
[Update 07/19]Tried it again today and it was just a pile of bones in a salty curry. I understand that there will be some bones, but today there was almost no meat at all. Called and made a complaint to give them a chance to fix it. Was offered a ''3 or 4 dollar discount'' for next time. Reducing to 1 star.
Terrible service. I would not normally rate any restaurant so low but after the terrible experience tonight I think even a rating of 1 is too high. They took an hour and a half to finish our takeaway of two dishes and despite asking multiple times we were told it will just be another minute. We were also asked several times to pay for it when we already had upon arrival. They then refused to refund us for the food when we did not want to wait any longer as the food had already been 'cooked'. All this on our first visit here.very disappointing.
