China Bar Epping Buffet & Grill

My partner and I went for a night all you can eat buffet and korean-BBQ, was about $58 per head. Price is higher than you'd usually pay for buffet or Korean BBQ but the quality of the food was fantastic, and every single member of staff I dealt with was extremely friendly, polite, and helpful. Would definitely recommend everyone come here at least once, well worth the price.

Value for money great food. Nice place to go and dine with the family. Staff are great at well as Mr. Manager we always come back though specially when celebrating

Absolutely disgraceful experience. The staff so rude no manners know anything I have my ice cream taken away from me when I mentioned there was a hair in it, and when I mentioned it to the manager, he brushed it off like nothing happened. I definitely won’t be coming back here. On top of that awful experience the food was cold Some of the serving dishes didn’t even have food inside them. The meat had a smell to it. Honestly, don’t recommend save your money because it’s quite pricey as well.

Very disappointed.
I've seen the photos and there was a lot of dishes, last night went to the Restaurant and encountered nothing but raw and unmarinated meats.
It's not a buffet, just a Grill Bar
Staff were friendly tho.

We had the boss cooking our meal he is awesome people was awesome staff awesome an the boss awesome as well definitely going back it's worth it

Did not enjoy dinning in this place, having in mind that buffet restaurants share a lot of options, this one was just a Korean like BBQ

A delicious experience from far away places. In preperation for an upcoming EL-Nino year in AU 2023 - 2024 confirmed.

When this place first opened it was very good. There was many options for food and dessert. Now it’s very underwhelming. The only thing that’s decent was the meat selection and ice cream. The staff were attentive and friendly. But I just don’t understand why the food has just gone so bad. Never coming back. Which is a shame.

The variety of food was good.
The customer service of floor staff was friendly.
The cashier was rude and denegraded me in front of customers for asking to split a bill for a table of 10.
No splitting of bills needs to be on a sign upon entry and is not on website.
I will never return to this place.
Learn to have some discretion.

Not worth the money! The one in Burwood is much much better.
There is not much variety of food or dessert here compare to the one in Burwood. Very disappointed and will not be coming back!

Just average. Decent amount of variety but just smaller things seem like the drops down any polish this restaurant might ever add. It's not being picky because its probably q good option in Epping for KBBQ but the CBD had plenty that are superior and for less money.

This was the worst place I've been to i don't recommend this place the meat was very chewy and hard had not flavour. All the other food was so cold not even the spring rolls weren't nice and were super cold. The meat looked brown not red we weren't even there for 15 mins and was the worst place ever and after we left we felt so sick felt like throwing up.

We went to the New China Bar Grill it looked absolutely fantastic and the service was excellent, but unfortunately I was disappointed with the food it was cold, the grill was great but at the end I got sick, unfortunately not going back

First time trying the cook yourself bbq. Was ok. Thought they would have more variety in buffet. Alot of the buffet food was cold. They ran out of lemon lime and bitters, some meats were tough. Would i go back? Hmmmmm!

Nothing like it used to be!
I was expecting a Chinese food buffet (satay stir fry, black bean stir fry, lemon chicken, honey chicken, and the usual delicious seafoods),
instead I was disappointed with a range of cheap finger foods, like the ones you’d find in a supermarket freezer,
and if you wanted any type of meat products, you had to get it from the refrigerated section and then cook it yourself on these tiny bbq cookers at your table, not great when you have half a dozen hungry men wanting to eat at the same time.
We found it extremely disappointing and won’t bother visiting this establishment again.

Amazing food and great value for money. The meat quality was really good, great service from the staff. Try this place before you go to any Korean BBQ restaurant.

I took my 8year old and 10 year old to eat here for lunch. We loved coming here when the kids were younger, it was so much better. The kids were so excited to hear its recent reopening, but it was nothing like what it used to be.
They have spend so much installing the bbq to every single table and the exhausts, there were a good selection of meat but no special dipping sauces to go with. I can see they are trying to push for bbq now and only bbq, cos their hot food now is pathetic.
Only less than 10 types of the usual Chinese hot food, lots of kids food (chips fried chicken fried fish dimsims
Freezer food). They got rid of the sushi section, and got rid of the dessert section. But added cup noodles…
The thing that troubles me the most is that they use paper plates and paper bowls it’s made the whole dining experience feel like having a picnic!
My kids said they will not be back and i agree too. It’s a shame we be loved this place for so many years, it’s disappointing now

Honestly, it was disappointing for the first time trying China Bar since the shutdown; Seafood was the hero of this restaurant, and now theirs none.

Will not be back!
