Chilli & Basil Thai restaurant

Delicious food. Always consistently beautiful food, friendly service. We go very regularly and for a few years and we have never been disappointed.
Highly recommended.

The restaurant setting is clean and comfortable. The good is good and the price is reasonable especially on the fried fish.

First time and went alone today, the waiter was looking at me like why are you here and alone. Great start.
Ordered Tom Yum. Quantity was lesser than expected but the taste was great.

Delicious food here. Prices good compared to others in this area. I really like the Massaman curry but it could do with 1 or 2 extra pieces of beef & half the sauce. Beef salad very nice but beware extremely hot! (& yes I like hot but!) maybe ask for half the amount of chilli LOL. The fried rice very nice & generous size. Curry puffs are perfect!

I love very spicy food and whenever i ask for it they give me what i want. The food is great and so is the service. Value for money

Have been here on a number of occasions, as a group and couple. Table service is good and, the (Yum) food usely arrives promptly. Plenty of parking out front or nearby (depending the time of day). Train station and Bus literally a stone throw from the front door. Suggest calling/bookings ahead for groups larger than say 4+ (table arrangement). As it can become very popular some nights. If your a local go in and give them a try, I trust you won't be disappointed.
BTW other than take away, also looks like there food is available via food delivery service if that's your thing.

I've been getting take away from this place for years. So often that they know my order and always remember my food allergies. The food has always been great. On the last two visits however I've left disappointed, empty handed and hungry. The first time i was turned away because they said they were closed. Open sign on the door and 50 mins before their official closing time. However i decided to forgive and tried again last night. When i said i wanted take away i was told i would have to wait 45 mins for my food as they had over 10 Uber Eats orders in front of me. The waitress then turned her back and didn't even listen for my response. I considered just ordering and waiting but didnt get the chance as i was then completely ignored. I left and went to Thai Tables and received service with a smile and had my food within 20 mins and the food was just as delicious. There are too many great restaurants in Bayswater to have to put up with that. I wont be back.

Pad Kra pow. Awesome. Lovely and hot. Bottom line being that CBT is well worth of four maybe four point five stars.
