Chilli & Basil Thai restaurant

My favorite local Thai restaurant that always serve the best Thai foods. I also regularly do take away from Thai Chilli and Basil Bayswater. The baramundi fish in ginger sauce or garlic pepper is the best.

The food was very yummy. We ordered the green curry, grilled pork and the tom yum soup it was very good and we ended up being very full but.there was always room for dessert, and we got the coconut custard with vanilla ice cream. Which was very good. We will DEFINITELY be back for more.

Friendly, local restaurant. Prompt service with a smile and the food was delicious! Big menu, plenty to choose from.

This is my go to Thai Resto as it is near my place. It never disappoints! My fave is the Pad See Eew.

I love the the coconut rice here so much. The food is very nice and authentic and prices are reasonable. Ladies here are very friendly. Highly recommend it!

Bayswater has a stack of good Thai restaurants - so when I say this is the best of the bunch it means it is pretty good.

Love CBT many restaurants in this area but this is the best! Prices v reasonable. Food always tasty and hot. Meat in meal portions is generous unlike other places. If you love Thai food You will love CBT! Keep up the good work folks.

Been coming here for years, always order the same thing and it's always consistently good. Stir fry veggies with tofu, chicken satay skewers and coconut rice. Can't speak for the other dishes though. Never disappointed, fast good service.

Very delicious. Meals are fresh and contain actual ingredients- not just a few pieces of meat and veg swimming in a soup of marinade. Lots of veg, lots of meat, very tasty and filling and tastes SO GOOD

Best takeaway i have ever had. Ate there before covid19 and restaurant was always packed.and distracting by constant pickups by uber drivers.open at 5pm.so decided to try them again was not disapointed. Fish and Veg Meal. 17.50$ enough for 2 meals.wtg.

Food nice but their insistence of not splitting a bill makes them an unattractive option in today's market where people don't carry cash for covid and safety reasons. Ruins the night when we are all scrabbling for cash and giving each other change. No tip was even considered for this poor approach to 2021 customer service.

Great food, Good pricing, Friendly service and clean restaurant.
Not very good access for movement impaired. Toilet area out the back could be tidied up a bit.

THE REALLY GOOD AND THE NEEDING IMPROVEMENT

We may have come on the wrong night. We could tell they were busy with lots of Uber type takeaway on a Friday night and may have been caught out with staffing.

The Good - very happy with the following

1. Great ambience and decor, modern and tasteful setting. Very comfortable seating.
2. Really Excellent food. My partner commented the dumplings were the best she had had anywhere recently.
3. The green curry was excellent - throughly enjoyed it and took some home we got so much!
4. The entrees were very well presented and great flavour

Needing improvement

Table service was a bit slow and a few essentials such as water on the table had to ask for. Had to ask for a bar service beer a couple of times.

Not making a judgement, would be happy to return on another occassion, as we think they were just caught out with a busy Friday in the takeaway Uber eats type environment and were stretched. However, table service is something to note.

The food is a bit of mixed bag. The fried rice was pretty good but the green curry we'd ordered seemed very ordinary. The flavours didn't seem to pop. I'd probably stick with going to the competition across the road.

Our favourite Thai takeaway. Loads of variety, and delicious gluten free/vegan options. Super friendly staff. Great prices. We love it!

Best Thai I’ve had a long time! Fresh, chunky pieces of vegetables and large prawns. Often find that most restaurants overcook their veggies but definitely not the case here. Delicious and plenty of taste will definitely be ordering from here again.

Ooh! It was so good to go out for dinner tonight. We went back to Chilli and Basil Thai and had a lovely meal. Thank you.

Ordered Beef pad thai and Chicken pad see ew for dinner. Total 25 AUD. There is a surcharge on Card payments. The portion was big and very filling. The service was quick and friendly. However the taste was just okay, the chicken pieces were cut too big, and there was no "char" taste on both dishes. Would probably be back again.

We had the most delicious meal last night. Prawn salad, pineapple fried rice and fish cake. Good size serves and reasonably priced. One suggestion is use fresh pineapple for fried rice.
