Chicken Thyme at Tallyho / Ransara Foods

Now I see why the place is empty. Flavorless chicken and flavorless chips. The chicken had no stuffing inside at all.and wasn't just a case of it fell out or was taken out, literally never had stuffing in it.was asked if I wanted the 2 poor quality 1/4 pieces of chicken when I asked for a half, then looked at me dumbfounded when I asked for a complete half piece, even tried convincing me by putting the 2 pieces together like Lego. Large chips was half the size of other charcoal chickens, and at $6.50 was pretty poor. Here's a tip, stay away. Much much better options out there. Dont know what some of the other reviews are referring to but it cant be this shop. "best charcoal chicken in melbourne"!? ! You've gotta be kidding me! Would be close to the worst I've had in my life! Very dissapointed

Best little chicken shop in local district. Always service with a smile. Consistent fresh salads. Quite nice homemade Tiramisu. Creamed rice also available in the fridge. Bar area to sit at looking out at road. Newspapers to read. The shops in this little strip are well set back from the road so its a comfortable place to sit for a meal if you are passing through and need a quick bite. As a local I wouldn't go anywhere else to pick up free-range chook when I can't be bothered to cook. Often sold out by 8pm. Enjoy.

Everything is cooked fresh as you order it so no 2 hour old chips and chicken that is great value for money!

Been eating here for years. Great avocado salad, home made aioli, chips always fried fresh on order, Lilydale chicken. Very tasty chicken and reasonable prices.

I do not live close, but any chance I get when in the area I'm sneaking in the words "Chicken Thyme"! I LOVE these guys. The chicken is amazing. Speaking of which, it's been a while. I'd better make a special trip ;)
