Nice family day out, however a bit limited in things to do.
Also some enclosures are a bit questionable. I felt a bit sorry for the horse that didn’t move and was all alone behind an electric fence. Not sure if that’s just the norm or not.

This farm does not compare to myuna farm which is 10mins down the road and costs half the price with double to do and see. I bought my grandson and was so disappointed with what they offered. No playground for little ones to play on and toilets outside of the park. Will not go back here again.

The nursery was NOT IDIOT-PROOF, it only takes 5 seconds of an irresponsible parent and kids to paralyzed a small animal. Seeing it happen in person made me lose my mood for the whole day, it suppose to be a fun place. They can replace the animal but terrible customer experience. Just lock the gate when staff is not around.

Went to Chesterfield Farm today and was pretty disappointed with our experience. We paid $20 per adult which seems very steep for what was actually there. Animals weren’t very interactive, not many walked over to be fed by the children. There also weren’t many signs explaining where to go, no maps or nothing provided when entering. Also not to mention the toilets are back out in the car park.

Wouldn’t recommended going here and we will be heading back to Myuna Farm where you can pay $9.30 for entry and have a much better experience!

We really enjoyed visiting your farm a few years ago, so we thought that we should go again. However, after learning that you MUST pre book tickets to go, and that there is also a booking fee we have decided not to bother. I mean why do have to be so bossy? You have just lost a customer.

Having visited Chesterville Farm this afternoon, I left feeling extremely upset after witnessing how the young calf was left alone in a small dark enclosure - it was visibly stressed and overwhelmed as the calf had to constantly encounter people with young children in its face one after another - they allowed people to go into the enclosure and corner the calf to “pet” it. There was a sign says three at a time but this was not adhered to and there were no staff in the petting area monitoring the welfare of the animals. At one point the calf let out a cry and I could only assume it was hungry as a young calf only a few months old needs to be fed milk every few hours. But instead there was only a tub of dirty water and stack of hay. If not hungry it was clearly overwhelmed.
The dogs were in tiny cages with no bed to sleep on, a ridiculous sign saying don’t wake the dogs as they’re up all night but cage them in one of the noisiest petting rooms and you expect the dogs to rest in that kind of environment? Where’s the pet bedding if you genuinely care about the welfare of the dogs that look after your animals during the night? We naively visited hoping for a good experience but left feeling extremely sad that a calf and dogs were left in that kind of environment.

Relaxing afternoon. Friendly staff with low key entertainment from show pavilion (shearing) and and tractor ride. The best Feeding the animals is a highlight. Pre buy tickets as not sold on site.

Two of us came to Chesterfield Farm on a Saturday. We arrived at around midday. We had pre-purchased the tickets as advised on their website, so the check-in process was very efficient.

First, we went to pet the small farm animals including lambs, rabbits, Guinea pigs, calf and dogs. Unfortunately you are not allowed to feed or pick up these animals, but you can still look at them and pat them.

After that, we watched the sheepdog demonstration at 1pm where they showed the dog rounding up sheep. That was really interesting, as I’d only ever seen this on TV.

Then we toured the rest of Chesterfield Farm, and got to see various farm animals including ostriches, camels, kangaroos, fellow deer, red deer, ducks, pigs, peacocks, goats and more. As we walked through this section of the farm, we hand-fed the animals with the animal feed purchased at the front entrance.

We had a very fun time, and I would highly recommend visiting this farm. It is suitable for all ages. I am a young adult and I loved it. But I think kids will love it just as much!

I think that Chesterfield Farm is a nice place to relax at. It has tons of animals, beautiful views and etc. I remember going to Chesterfiled Farm as a kid, there are cows and a sheep dog you can milk the cow!

Baby animals for petting, decent sizing to walk around with fair amount of animals. Shows were not bad, staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Great place and surprisingly cheap for an adventure for children and families. A few minutes drive from the city, in the middle of the suburbs. I recommend this to everyone with kids or wanting a family trip.

Wonderful place to come and feed farm animals, see sheep dog demonstrations and just enjoy some quality time with the kids. A wide variety of animals here, but the highlight for me was the adorable lamb!

Great for kids, have a picnic lunch. Lots of animals to see, although avoid hot days dry days/periods as there is a lack of shade to walk/sit in. Our 2.5 yr old loved it getting to feed some animals and pat a few too

We had a really nice time, my daughter loved feeding the animals, and touching the animals in the petting area. The tractor ride isn't expensive so it's worth it when your there

This was a fantastic place to take the kids (mine are 4 and 2) on the weekend. So many different animals to feed/touch and a fun tractor ride around the paddocks. The shows are short and sweet which is great when you have toddlers that don’t like to sit for very long. We saw a cow milking show and a dog show which my 4 year old son is still talking about. The staff were also very friendly and approachable.
The only down side is there is not much shade once your out in the paddocks. However if you Slip slop slap and avoid the hot days you’ll be fine.
I will definitely be returning with my children.

A nice place to spend time with your family. If you need to enjoy all the activities then follow this plan
Enter by 11. At 11: 30 you can see the cow milking activity. At 12: 15 take tractor ride
Then have lunch and go through the feed trail. At 1 pm sheep doh demo. Awesome interactions with all animals. Kids will enjoy for sure

Went with my 2.5 year old and had a really good day. She loved the animals and being up close to them outside feeding them and could’ve stayed there all day.
We went to the sheepdog show and that was pretty good, except for the fact that it was pretty hard to hear what was being said.
The nursery part was ok - there wasn’t much to it.

We found the selection of foods at the cafe fine, nice area to sit, just a really small area that probably could’ve had another staff member.

Overall i would recommend for a family day out
