Chef's Thai

Out of the handful of Thai restaurants that are local to me, this is the one I get takeaway from the most. The noodle dishes are always great, and usually have more veg in them than the competition. When they're busy you may have to wait a few minutes more, but it's never too bad.

Good pad Thai and good prices. I come here quite often and service is always friendly. Definitely recommend.

Food was ok, but was far from thai food, it was more like western Chinese food. Noodles were very overcooked.

Food was excellent and that is coming from someone who typically doesn't like thai food. Service was great. Would definitely come again.

Flavours are not bad but portions are very small though for the price. Roti was just tiny amount. The curry I ordered with tofu and vegetables didn’t have any tofu. The ginger stir fry almost didn’t have any ginger. The vegetables in the curry were very over cooked. We had take-away through DoorDash.

Chef's Thai Mitcham is my "Go-To" Thai restaurant. It is simply "The Best. " I have tried others in the eastern suburbs but always come back to this one. Staff are great, service is great, and the food is soooo good. I love the Cashew Nut Chicken Stir Fry, Crispy Fried Chicken, and the Sweet & Sour Stir Fry. Fresh and full of flavour, and good value. I highly recommend Chef's Thai.

We were missing half our meal and they couldn’t understand what i was saying when advising about it. Gave it a second chance and now love the food

Great place to get a sizable and tasty lunch. Must say it's NOT the best Thai food I had, thus 1 less star. However it is very very good value for money. Both the server and chef are very friendly and efficient. This' a place of choice for me when I need a good and semi-healthy bite for lunch around Mitchem.

The crispy chicken is one of the best in Melbourne, other curries & dishes are good but not outstanding.

Good food, one of the best Thai restaurant I dined in. Their Pad thai and Hokkeid boodle is one of the savourest and the best plus a very sumptuous Thai curry. Dine in space is not that spacious though. Highly recommended!

Thai Fried rice and Pad Thai is what we ordered.

Love this place, food is always tasty and fresh and reasonable prices too. We live in Boronia but drive to Mitcham every time we want Thai.

Lovely staff the food is good with flavour, not so so good to reheat food the next day if you have leftovers. Unless it’s in a curry.
The grilled beef was dry though and some chewy bits the fried chicken was the same some meaty pieces and some stringy

I eat the delicious food from Chef's Thai (delivered) at least once a week, and have been doing so for years! The staff have a lovely vibe, so friendly, so helpful. I love the green chicken curry. The chicken is a little crispy as though fried separately prior to going in the curry. Yum! I get it mild and it's plenty spicy for me. Lots of fresh crunchy veggies in there too. And the chicken satay sticks with sesame are great too. Steamed rice is so much better than I can ever make it at home.

Such a shame, we only received half of our order, had to wait for the remainder of the delivery!

No matter how many Thai restaurants we've tried out, we always end up coming back to Chefs Thai. Friendly and quickly service and delicious food. Their cashew nut stir fry and their crispy fish are staples in our order every time. Not to mention we live 40 minutes away but it's worth the drive!

I Put up an order through Uber eats to your restaurant. When the time came to deliver my food. You have cancelled my order. You have lost a new customer before making it. I won’t be suggesting anyone to be coming there to even try it. Worst service

An absolute atrocity on my taste buds, and wallet. I ordered a vegetarian medium spicy pad kee mao and pineapple fried rice. Both were dull tasting.

Pineapple fried rice was an absolute joke. It’s an insult to fried rice. It was literally curry powder mixed with one broccoli piece, some pieces of tofu, zucchini and carrots.

Rice rating - 1/10

Pad kee mao- super oily, not spicy despite medium heat being requested. Again had one piece of broccoli and so much cabbage. It was almost cabbage kee mao.

Pad/Cabbage kee mao rating- 2/10

This restaurant needs to improve on quality of food offered. Food taste is below average. No where close to being authentic or even Thai food.
