Chef's Thai reviews
64My sister and I absolutely love their food. Happy people looking after you with suggestions and they had no problems with addressing dietary issues. Very noisy but that really can't be helped in the small area but their delicious food is certainly worth it. The small attention to detail that they show each and ever customer was impressive. A+
Discovering hidden gems! The Khao Soi and Khao Mun Kai are absolutely impressive. A must-try for food enthusiasts!
Perfect dinner. Freshly cooked, fair priced. Absolutely yummy, one of the best thai foods I had in Melbourne.
We were searching for food this evening and stopped by this little shop. A friendly young man came out to greet us and gave us a menu to look at. We decided to have go. The foods were absolutely delicious. We ordered Chilli Lemon Squids. The squids were so crispy outside and tender inside with a dash of lemon juice which was quite refreshing. We also had Beef Pad-See-Ew. The rice noodles were so soft and smooth. It's full of flavour and "wok hei" (heat from the wok). We loved it so much. We also ordered Seafood Tom Yum soup, Green Curry Chicken with Coconut Rice and Roti. They were also delicious. Their chilli sauce was superb. The staff there were all very friendly and polite. Very good experience overall. We enjoyed it very much and will definitely go back to try out other dishes.
Amazing food especially the basil Thai fried rice. Friendly staff as well, and a very warm welcome. Highly recommend!
Thai authentic food must be here!
Nice and clean food, very good manner staff here either.
Amazing lunch spot. Been eating here for years and never had a bad meal. Excellent authentic Thai food and well priced
Great curry puffs and prawn pad Thai was nice but wasn’t expecting chilli hit in there and that was a shame as I’ve never had a chilli hit in my pad Thai previously.

A friend who is Thai and lives locally near Mitcham suggested we go to this restaurant for their special noodle dish called "Guay-Jub" and it was delicious. Papaya salad was good but a bit too sour for my liking. Definitely recommend thank you for your service.
The Thai food is fantastic, especially pad Thai, hokkien noodles are the best. Friendly staff with a smile and give us another bottle of water after we finish the 1st bottle without us asking.great service. Definitely will come again to eat.
We've driven past a few times and decided to try Chef's Thai tonight. Upon entering, we were greeted warmly and shown to a table. We decided on mixed entree, roti with Peanut sauce, crispy fish and pad Thai with chicken. Bloody beautiful! Most likely the best pad Thai I've had.good amount of noodle/chicken/sauce ratio. Crispy fish was delicious
Everything was super fresh and tasty.
We will definitely be back!
We always order their Green Curry and Thai Basil Garlic with Chilli prawns dish. Very tasty for take away.
I ordered the Hokkien noodles (with pork + extra spicy) because I saw two other reviews mentioning them. They were spot on - absolutely beautiful! The meal was loaded with fresh veggies, good quality bits of pork and left a beautiful spicy hum in my mouth for long after I’d finished.
The chicken spring rolls had a slight sweetness which I wasn’t so fond of and could’ve used more seasoning, but they mixed really well with the included dipping sauce.
I’ll be back for sure!
Friendly staff and good customer services. The food was tasty especially Pad Thai is the best authentic feeling like Thai in here. If you don’t know where to visit the restaurant I would
recommend this place you won’t regret it. For me come back again for sure
I’ve been here for twice and I can say this restaurant is nice, I would recommend char Kway Teow and fried rice as they only cost $12.9 aud but the quality of food is high. The only disadvantage is that the transport isn’t really convenient as you have to walk for around 15 mins from Mitcham railway station to this shop, but the shop is connected with public buses and there are some parking spaces next to the shop, so overall it does worth a visit.
Great little Thai restaurant
Seating is very limited. Take aways are constant.
Staff are friendly and attentive
Price is very reasonable.
Best authentic Thai food around. I try other Thai places but I always end up coming back here. Been coming here for years. It’s a shame there’s not more seating!
We got hokkein noodles and it was delicious, my 5 year old loves it. Was loaded with veggies & chicken
I had the Hokkien Chicken, it was very tasty and ingredients fresh, cant wait to try the curries.
Suggestion: Khao Soi please!
I love the place
Been there twice already can’t go wrong
Everything is going up
The price is fair for me
I will bring more people to come cover
Best dish is fry rice
