Cheap Timber Floor - Melbourne Floors Mart

Melbourne Floorsmart, Springvale supplied and laid our solid hardwood spotted gum bedroom floors efficiently and in a timely way. Before Covid-19, we discussed the job details and (very competitive) price, we delayed the job until this week, deciding to proceed as restrictions had lifted. The layers worked hard to finish in one day with a beautiful result. Thank you MFM.

From the first time i walked into the shop, James was attentive and provided good advice on different floor options. The prices are very competitive and the ordering process was easy. There was a delay to shipment, but i was kept informed throughout the process.
The installers were efficient and did an excellent job with the floor installation. The floor looks fantastic and has transformed the look of the house.

This supplier threatens and tries to black mail my client with lawyer letter, what a joke. I am a builder has done 100+ homes, I can confirm their product is defective.

Contacted James initially in late November to get our floors done and he was very helpful in our decision with choosing the right colour. He went out of his way to provide us with a great service and managed to squeeze us in at such short notice and during the end of the year! James produced such a quick turn around, that the floorboards were finished in half a day. When the floorboards were put in, we were amazed at how it transformed and modernised our house.

I found this company amazing. I visited their showroom in Springvale and spent an hour there looking at all the different types of flooring. Arranged the installation and they came when they said they would. The installers were professional and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves and left a tidy house behind. I would recommend them to anyone.

Purchased some Maxim Grey laminate floorboards for home renovation. The lady was very informative and helpful, they really looked after me on the pricing compared to other shops I’ve been to, and the product quality was flawless! Horrendous service! Flooring was delayed by 6 weeks and communication regarding this was shocking. I had to chase them on a regular basis to find out when/what was happening, and to make it harder the staff didn't pass information on to other staff members and they could never confirm anything. Not organised at all! As well as this, the dates on when the flooring arrived kept changing, with them telling me it had arrived, then a few hours later telling me I had to wait another 3 days even when delivery was booked in? ! Then on the day of delivery it was 3.5hrs later than they stated.which cost us money with paying tradespeople.the whole experience was infuriating. Do NOT recommend. Especially if you are on a tight renovation schedule. The one star is well deserved.

We weren't sure which type of timber to use when renovating the house, but the team at Melbourne Floorsmart provided us with all the information we needed.
Delivery and installation was in a timely matter and the staff where proactive during the installation process.

We bought a new house and were looking for new flooring. Some friends recommended Melbourne Floors Mart to us. We were amazed when we arrived at the store to see such a great showroom with so many varieties of flooring on display. The customer service was nice. We picked up the oz spotted gum flooring which is really gorgeous. We love our floors.

They are unhelpful, dishonest, unresponsive and unethical.

They do not pro-actively ask questions about needs. I ordered flooring from them but asked them to measure the apartment and provide a sample. They turn up without a sample. They said they don't remove tiles although I believe I had told them I had tiles beforehand. Given I was moving into a house and the price was reasonable, I went ahead with the order and told them I would arrange my own installer who would remove tiles and carpet and get the job done instead of saying things like "its difficult for us. ". Then they refuse to deliver the flooring as I am not using their installer who can't remove tiles. After me complaining, they arrange a delivery guy at my cost. They say he won't carry the flooring in - will leave on the street. I have a heart condition. Fortunately they were wrong - he did take it into the house.

My installer does a good job but I have an excess of flooring. I ask for a refund and for it to be collected. They refuse again - say I have to take it to them. I complain - no answer. I text one of their guys. No answer. Fortunately I had a friend who agreed to take the flooring back at no cost, I alert Floorsmart its coming back - as I had written a negative review - they said they would not refund for the excess flooring unless I took down the review! I took down the review - the excess flooring was returned. They then charged me 20% for "restocking fee" - something not mentioned before. I complain - no answer. I e-mail attention to owner (staff won't give me his full name but its Wilson something) - no answer again.

Completely awful company - avoid at all costs. Hope everyone reads this before going near them.

Excellent service and very knowledgable. The team was very professional and friendly. Prompt service in terms of helping us choose the right flooring for our home and office including installation. Overall, so satisfied with the result- great quality and variety of flooring to chose from. Couldn't recommend Melbourne Floors Mart highly enough!

Its very refreshing to know that there are honest and hard working companies out there. Melbourne Floors Mart has the lowest prices and very great service. My new floors are ten times better than the job that the last company did and the price is even lower.
