Chateau Yering Hotel reviews
65Iconic and a magical old place, well-loved. The manager took my group to the underground cellar, how good was that!
The venue was full class. I ate the entree with lamb gnnochi so slowly cause I wanted to savour every bite. Every single thing on that plate was amazing, the bitter crunchy greens with the olive puree matched so well in this dish.
Excellent service and food, but decor needs a little attention my partner made a comment. Thank you.
We enjoyed our stay here. Staff were friendly, room was clean, shower had amazing pressure. Would definitely come back.
Absolutely gorgeous grounds. Amazing service at the High Tea I attended with beautiful views and ambience.
Maybe our poor review has something to do with the expectations we had based on the advert promising "a sumptuous buffet breakfast" and "a decadent dinner at Eleanor's Restaurant".
The buffet breakfast did not exist at all, only a very limited a la care offering.
And the 'sumptuous' dinner was as misleading and ambitious as calling McDonald's Restaurant gourmet dining.
Chateau Yering always sits still in time and exquisitely exemplifies the beauty of yesteryear. The building is lovingly kept, as well as the grounds. I had my wedding there 20 years ago and it is an extraordinary venue in which to hold a reception. You can dine there or just go for a drink and relax in one of the fabulous sitting rooms!
Beautiful heritage accommodation in the middle of the Yarra valley. This place is right next door to Yering Station for a great wine tasting that you can walk back to your room from!
The rooms are large and beautiful, don't plan to only sleep here while you explore the area, take the opportunity to enjoy this amazing house and you may not even want to leave your room.
The two restaurants onsite are top notch.
The staff are friendly and welcoming and do whatever they can to make your stay more pleasurable.
Great place for a romantic getaway.
Beautiful food, great staff, a wonderful, comfortable bed, and beautifully manicured gardens with a fantastic view. Thank you for an awesome experience. We loved all of it.
Cafe had a great lamb curry, offered a reallly good pinot by the glass (2 for 1 deal) and staff were attentitive.
I've only ever been there for the farmer's market, but I've been to it half a dozen times. The most beautiful location for a market I've ever seen.
Really well set out. Well picked vendors. Probably my favorite market I've been to?
Grab something to eat or drink, and sit on the lawn. Lovely!
Exiting the property is pretty bad. It exits onto a bendy road where the speed limit is 80km, and people regularly go 100km.
Charming and tranquil, set in a perfect environment. This is a place full of history from another era. Service is excellent.
Awesome place, best spot a family get out. Not too far from city. Great food, good wine but bit expensive. Definitely worth it to visit over a weekend.
Lovely place to stay large quiet rooms and able to relax down in the lounge in front of the open fire. Breakfast included for guests at no additional cost.
For wine and cheese lovers, this place is a must to visit in Victoria.
Taste the wine first, then enjoy the ones you like most.
One of those rare occasions where everything was just right. Beautiful room, stunning views, amazing food, delicious breakfast. Couldn't recommend highly enough. A great getaway.
Nice Place. Food is very nice but overpriced. It is nice to sit and listen to the band on a nice day.
In my top 5 in the Yarra valley wedding venue amazing, farmers market yes please & wine tasting wow
Decor is nice. Food is nice but not brilliant. The hotel staff let this place down. No one smiles. They're not very welcoming.
Set on 250 acres bordering the Yarra River, this refined hotel in a Victorian mansion is also 2 km from Yarra Glen train station and 3 km from Yarra Glen Racecourse.
Ornate suites come with air-conditioning, claw-foot baths, antique furniture, and balconies or verandas. Suites add whirlpool tubs and fireplaces, and some have 4-poster or half-tester beds.
Free breakfast is served in a cafe sunroom with garden views and wicker furniture. There's also an elegant restaurant, an old-world sitting room, and a cocktail bar. Other amenities include an chic outdoor pool, a tennis court and expansive gardens dating back to 1854.
